🤣🤣 I snorted when I heard "I was expecting miracles to happen, I was Bob Ross in my head"🤣🤣 I absolutely Love your art, and channel. Thank you so much for passing alongside all your knowledge to us and taking us all along on your journey 😊
Hahahaha I really was thinking this was a masterpiece 😂 I'm so happy you're enjoying and watching my work thank you so much!❤️
I literally laughed out loud because I had never related to anything more 😂
The ragequit on that tomato and the middle fingers... too relatable 😂
Hahahahh😁
I hate when you get something new and you are so excited to use it and you imagine masterpieces and its so good in your head and your arm is just refusing to cooperate xD but liking how stuff turns out is always a win! :D
Ya exactly! It can be disheartening but I will persist 😁
Oh I like you~ You’re funny lol 😭😭 I love aesthetic art vlogs and videos, but i also the sheer realness of yours. The part where you said “i was expecting miracles to happen, i was Bob Ross in my head” speaks VOLUMES to me 😂😮💨😭 I get it~ Keep up the beautiful work, because you’re doing amazing ❤
Thank you so much you made my day I really appreciate it ❤️ I'm glad you could relate and thanks for watching!!
Amazing brushwork with the flat brushes! I love that the shapes look more confident as you go on painting 😁
Thank you so much! I think it was a good exercise!
I'm delighted, the authenticity in your story telling and your art is refreshing ❤
Thank you so much😊
I loooove your art, and your personality is just the cherry on top 😂
Your progress from veg to veg was amazing. You gained confidence and the look of each of them progressively improved! How encouraging for me as a beginner! Thanks for posting.
Thanks so much! I really did feel like I got alot better by the end😁
Hot damn, I do love that artichoke. Thanks for posting this, I really enjoy your practices and voice overs.
Thank you I'm glad you like them😁
I LOVE how raw you are with talking about the thoughts in your head while painting! Defs gonna have alerts on for your videos!
Thank you so much I'm so happy you liked it!! ❤️😊
"No notes on artichokes" is my new favorite phrase.
I had to subscribe. I love when painting have that blocky look and I like to create the same. Thanks for sharing this ❤
I kept seeing this on instagram and finally found it here! Such bright colors, so realistic and cartoonish at the same time. I can't wait to learn more from your videos❤
This commentary was so relatable thank you 🫶🏽✨
Thank you!!
I love Emhuesart! She's super talented, I definitely see her influence in your gouache paintings. Now the next challenge is to do a portrait in gouache.... My struggle is going from a medium that you can't mix your own colours in (colour pencil), to having to colour match by mixing.
Oh she is the best i love her videos! Ya I agree, it's pretty tricky to start colour mixing while also trying to learn a new medium! I'm going to do a video soon on some portraits with marker+colour pencil and then maybe I will feel confident enough to do a painting one!
So many lols today! 🙏
this video made me want to eat my veggies 🥬also amazing work, the colours a values are actually unreal! love ur perseverance~
Thank you so much I'm glad you liked it😁❤️
these are beautiful
you make it look so easy
If you don't know, you can take magenta and add a tiny bit of yellow, and it will mix a warmer red! Also, some tomatoes are cooler reds, so just do you! For your 3rd gouache attempt, this is freakin amazing! Acrylagouache is especially hard (you can use acrylic paint mediums, too, so you dont have to buy Turner Retarder if you have an acrylic slow-dry medium).
Also, for the LOVE, never stop being you!! You're hilarious, and I totally feel every frustration you talk about - i think a lot of artists do. So don't be afraid to show the 'bad' parts along with the 'good'!
Oh that's such a good tip! Thank you! I wish I knew that before I went crazy and bought 3 different warm reds in frustration 😂 that's also very interesting about the acrylic paint medium!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching 😄❤️
The tomato actually ended up being my favourite haha.
Love your style
Overall i feel that turner acrylic gouache dries slower, and performs better for glazing and watercolor layers
These look absolutely freaking AWESOME.
Thank you!!
hell yeah I've just found my new favorite channel
Hell yeah 😌
Thank you for showing all your trials and triumphs I’m starting out in art and it’s very encouraging to see someone with a lot of experience still willing to be a student ❤
Thank you so much I'm glad you liked it! 😊
You are my new favorite artist on RUclips and IG. You remind me of Chris Hong and Emily Hughes but your own flare!
Oh thank you so much I really appreciate that!❤️😊
Absolutely amazing, love seeing the progress as you go and knowing it took so long puts the amount of effort into perspective! So glad you didn't give up on the tomato ❤
Awww thanks so much I really appreciate that ❤️
After the first 30 seconds of watching your video I knew I had to subscribe! As an artist too your commentary is so relatable!
Thank you so much I'm happy you liked it!😁
'Hello and welcome to another video'
Me: Oh, hello- Why did u just flip me off?
😂😂😂 sorry
the tomato looks great🥰 nice and round and the highlights really work to make it shine
Honestly I think studies are exactly where you should keep adding stuff, even if it 'ruins' the piece. Like, it's about trying stuff, seeing if it works, and learning what to carry forward for the next one
Absolutely.
Hi I came over from insta and believe that I can learn a lot from you so I'll keep up with you here too 😊
Thank you so much! ❤️
Flipping the tomato off LMFAOOO. Honestly love this video because it really shows the reality in creating art and struggling for your life. Sped up vids like speed paints always has me with a misconception that most people can whip shit out. It’s very relatable ❤
Thank you so much I do strive for relatability- mostly cus I don't want to feel like I'm the only one struggling to make stuff haha😅
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk burnout by a tomato . Im not artist, but i like to try on painting. And this is SOOOO relatable kkkkkkkkkkkkk i dont know how many times i give middle fingers to my stuff
I love your painting and your sense of humour, I laughed at the "I don't know how many times I need to study this pear and it never looks like the picture" because honestly, same 😂
Hahahahaha thank you! I will have to keep trying that stupid pear 😁
Omg I was just about to get rid of my stay wet palette sine I’m too dumb to use it. I threw out the papers! I’ll get. New ones now since I am just now finding out they’re reusable 🤦🏾♀️
Hahahahaha I would so do something like that don't worry about it! I honestly think you could probably use some kitchen parchment paper in a pinch as well! That's what I was doing before I got the palette
“Especially because I don’t know what I’m doing” relatable
The egg plant came out reach pretty tho !
Thank you!!
“Newer, better, harder to paint tomato” 😂😂 love this
Hahahah thanks!😂
These are awesome! It’s easy to think it all must be photorealistic, but we’ve got cameras for that 😅 Anyway, I think I need a wet palette like that…
Just found your channel today and immediately subscribed after watching your video. I love your honesty and your humor and being serious about art but being able to not take yourself too seriously, you know. I love that you’re embracing the process, making mistakes and learning from them and really seeing the improvements in each new piece you’re painting. Looking forward to accompanying you in this journey. More power!
Thank you so much for subscribing, and for watching! I really appreciate all the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed it haha😁
The tomato 🍅 part was worth your struggle for making me guffaw. When you return the next day and get your tools back out. And your tone of voice. I feel your pain. I’ve had similar struggles with watercolour 🍅.
Don't even get me started on watercolour hahaha 😂 thanks for watching!
"i watched a lot of youtube videos on how to make youtube videos"... i'm in, so goood xD
Hahahaha thank you so much❤️😁
Hiiiiii, new to here (your channel), just found you. i must say the commentaries are FABULOUUUUUSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm here for it, i find you to be absolutely refreshing. Also, i LoVe, LoVe, LoVeeeeeeee all the tips, coaching and lessons we get along the way.🤗🤗🤗🥳
Hy..umm..i do acrylics..but i don't know how to keep my flat brush that flat..it got soo fluffy..any idea or tips plz..! Thnk u..
These colors are so delicious! I totally feel you when you're so excited totry something new and not feeling too confident. Just gotta trust the process ( > u < )
Ya definitely gotta learn push through the ugly stage with less drama in my brain haha 😄 thanks so much!
These paintings are so gooood whaaatt!!!! Your video just popped up in my recommendations and I was pulled in by the geometric style :D
Oh thank you so much I'm so happy you like them😊
amazing video! i enjoyed your videos so much. may i know what kind of sketchbook you're using?
I love how honest you are about the frustration you feel during some projects. Other channels make it look like they are perfect and never struggle. You’re real and I appreciate that! Love your sense of humor too.
Adorable I love it! I will be so proud when I get this to this point . I am a newbie in drawing/painting/sketching. This video was easy for me to watch and I struggle to focus. Thanks for sharing !
As a newer self taught painter would you or another painter on here please help me with something I’m stuck on?
I am able to look at other peoples’ art at my skill level and recreate it with my own flare without issue. I canNOT for the life of me get my own ideas on canvas. I am a creative person by nature so this is stumping me. Why can’t I come up with an original idea without searching for something to “copy”? I hope that makes sense.
I was so happy to see your link for Gaza. I’m new to your channel and love finding creators to support who also support helping those most in need! ❤
I just found you and the tomato is what made me click the video because it looks so poppy and crisp, so you succeeded in your goal lol
A couple of drops of vegetable glycerin will slow down drying. Or you can try Golden Open medium.
Thanks I'll try that!
The double birbs is def me with my art sometimes. Like, why are you forbidden shapes and why must I draw you!?
Can you explain how you were able to see the red under the eggplant
Sure the bright colour underneath is an underpainting. Where you can see it through its because I did lighter washes of colour with less opaque paint. I also left little bits of it around the edges cus I like that look
i find it funny when she raised her middle fingers on her art work HAHAHAHAA i can relate i sometimes hate what is going on in my canvas
Can you make a video on why u put a different color under the color it ends up
I love how you have left it blocky. I always over blend and get sad 😂 good job! Especially since you are not well versed in painting, I wouldnt be able to tell
Painting is so hard hahah thanks!!
that artichoke is soooo gorgeous and this video inspired me to try gouache again so thank u
New subscriber and I love the channel.
The cubism-esk veg garden I love!
You can warm a red to a degree by adding a touch of yellow or orange to it xx
Got an itch to paint. This video single-handedly made me fall more in love with flat brushes
That's awesome! Check out emhuesart on youtube she is a flat brush expert! Thanks for watching ❤️
Same lol I wanna use my flat brush now
First time I've watched one of your vids :> I generally hate talk-thru, and mute them, but you caught me right off the bat and I was like "aaahhh kindered spirit--IN RAGE". So I did not mute you lol.
I love your progression, them being all...blocky? 64-bit lookin' ass produce, the hexigonal olives, especially. Loved watching you build from neon undertones I think that was the best part for me. Your eggplant is sexy as hell, and I know that tomato gave you a hard time, but damn I'd put that on a sandwich. And that artichoke. Yo. That artichoke DOES look like a Bob Ross ass vegetable. Specially since you started with that blob of magenta and went to town. *chefs. kiss.*
Thank you so much I'm so happy you didn't mute me hahahahah 💗 I'm glad you love the veggies they put me through it and it was worth it
Ohhh. I’m watching this the second time and only just realized you’re using Acryl Gouache. 🤦🏻♀️
Hahah thanks for watching again!!😁
Hi love your art i'm also new too this m e😮dium tfs sylvi
Same about artichokes! 😂
I wanted to try out the Turner retarder too, but it's out of stock everywhere. Guess I have to see if I can get it from Japan directly somehow, because other retarder like the Schminke one will probably mess with the matte finish of the acrylic gouache.
Anyway, I love your paint style, it looks so skillful! You have a very relaxing voice too. You've gained a new follower 🩵
Thank you so much! Yes it quite hard to come by!
Hey! Since you were mentioning using a medium for the gouache; you could also try, using a smooth hot pressed paper and it should also help with the application of the gouache.
Loved your work, subbed!
Oh I will try that! Thank you!!
thank you for being so honest about the struggle lol. in a weird way it makes me feel a bit more confident knowing its is normal to struggle and things are not supposed to be absolutely perfect all the time. subscribed:)
Thank you for subscribing! It's absolutely normal and I struggle just about every single time 😂
shes so savage i love herr so much i haven't watched any of her videos before but i subscribed right away after she said she cant wait to post her tomatoes even though she hated it so much in the beginning
Flipping off your art within the first three seconds of the video? Subscribed!
Hahaha thank you!!
That artichoke turned out so so good!! New sub here, this was super inspiring (and relatable lol i felt that ragequit haha)
Hahahah thank you!!
Beautiful colors!!!
OK excuse me but you are not only a wonderful artist, but also a great comedian XD
That is very high compliment for me, thank you so much 😁❤️
what brushes did you use?
I am new to using gouache, and I watch in video clips that I find painters applying more than one layer of color until they reach the color of the thing they are drawing. Why don’t they directly apply the color? For example, you have now applied layers of color.
I can only talk for myself but most of the time the layers are a little transparent and the first layer still kind of shows through and gives a similar effect to an underpainting. With adding more layers it will give more depth. Other than that it can help to just get to the right color if that makes sense because it can be hard to just guess the "correct" color on the first try.
Yeah exactly it's mostly because I'm trying to get the right look that I am thinking in my head and it takes more than one try. And also true that you just need to layer it to get depth and coverage 😁
Thank you for the clarification💚💖
Stay wet palette, what!? I need that! 🤗
This journey was so motivating to watch! So relatable. I feel like I was listening to my own thoughts when I paint 😅 When you put the mint green highlights on the olives, my brain went brrrrrrrrr 🤩
I'm happy you liked it! Thank you so much😊❤️
That eggplant looks like HYPERREALISTIC
Soo beautiful !🤩🌈💖🍭
can you do a video on color theory. Im really trying to learn that.
Ouu I will try but I'm no expert and really I'm trying to learn still myself! I'll research and come up with something haha
Youre funny i love you, also the artichoke turned out so damn good!
Omg thank you so much 😁
Hi is this the A4 or A5 size of the artyx sketchbook:)
heyooooo totally unrelated question but how do you know what colours to put in to make something vibrant and lively? 😭 I'm currently trying to learn how to paint like Alai Ganuza, Erin Kate Archer, and Erin Hanson and I just cannot unlock their secrets by myself :')
I don't know who those people are I will have to check them out! For myself, I add a bit of fluorescent colour into whatever I'm trying to make look brighter or to make it pop more. Hope that helps!
@@emrouleauart thank youuu!
lol I like the narration
Hi ! What gouache are you using ? I love watching your paint ❤
Hello! Thanks! I am using holbein acryla gouache in this video!
@@emrouleauartthanks I've just bought a set! Ive never seen such vivid colours before and the layering seems so interesting
You did amazing thks for being so inspiring
These all look so good ❤
please do more of gouache paintings pleaseeeeee
I willllllllll
Oh yes, cools and warms are important to know. I didn’t pay attention early on and that made greens so much more frustrating to me than they should normally be. I now mark the caps of my paints (I work in acrylics) with silver sharpie for cool and gold sharpie for warm. Makes it so much easier to grab the right temp when I’m knee deep in a painting. I also use the stay-wet palette and I LOVE it. Total game changer for me. I clean my palette up with a palette knife. I just scrape the paint off with the flat side. I can pull off dried paint with it or just clean up all the mixed colors and leave the from-the-tube colors alone so I can start mixing paints anew. I can use a single sheet for a couple of weeks doing that, but I’m also working in a medium that is not water activated, so scraping works best for me.
I love your energy! Made me laugh out loud and the art is amazing as well, 10/10 no notes 👌
No notes!!! Thank you so much😁❤️
what paper are you using to paint? i don’t think i saw it on your link tre
For this one I'm using a sketchbook from arrtx! It's like a watercolour paper
this video was awesome I love the art and it was fun to watch!
Thanks so much happy you liked it!!
I love your painting so much, sooooo beautiful
Thank you!!
I’ll do a giant painting with a tiny brush 😅
Hahahaahah you are really patient!
Peppers are kind of my art crush, but this has opened my beady little eyes. I mean, damn. That freaking tomato. ❤I love it. And the OLIVES. I can't deal. These are awesome. You are awesome. Have a great night.
Hahahaha I'm glad you opened those teenie tiny peepers thanks for watching it!
when you flipped off the painting I was DEADDDD
😊 art and personality ✨️ 🖖👽
❤️
So glad I’m not the only one who flips off their work 😮💨
Frr 😭😭
