i don't think it's because she's from a small company, EXID is a well known group. i think it's rather because their group concept doesn't highlight what she can do with her voice best, and maybe people see her through that "sexy concept" so her voice goes by as underrated

She's the only singer who can hit you with her voice like that. Even if you never listened to Korean songs before, this is literally worth it. Her vocal range is insane, and even after all these years, even after becoming the full grown up woman she is, she's still singing. Truly a leader. Truly a mother for Leggos. Truly the best singer.

I just noticed her vocal prowess on king of masked singer, having a very sentimental voice with a very wide range. She is indeed one of the best kpop singer of her generation. Quite disappointed cause she is not given so much recognition.
I was thinking Solji is beautiful enough and can "act" well enough that the actress was unnecessary and Solji could've handled the female lead in the video on her own.
