- We have taken on a new project to clear a half plot that will be set up as a community garden on our allotment ground. The plot will be used as a base to run activities/socials for members, as well as having a memorial garden and raised beds to grow veg/flowers specially for fundraising purposes at our Annual Open Day.
Rachel discusses where the project is up to 4 weeks including clearing the whole plot of bindweed roots, putting in raised beds, slabbed paths and a social area with seating.

At Don't Crop Me Now we have 500sq.m of space comprising 1 full plot and 2 halves and follow a 'No Dig' method in raised beds. We grow a wide range of fruit, veg and flowers which supply our kitchen all year round. We are not fully self-sufficient, but we shop very rarely.

У вас отличный сад 👍👍👍, Вы хорошая хозяйка 😊🧡🤗
Looks amazing, you've done a fabulous job.
Great idea with the slabs! Waste not want not haha! I love your top plot. So much character. Great tour 😊🌱
Thank you!
great job, but please be careful of pieces of glass, someone on our allotment nearly lost an eye by tripping and falling onto a similar piece. scary stuff
Hi Rachel, wow! It looks fantastic! I'm not surprised you are all relieved to get such a hard job done, well done. Pallett collars are the way to go I have mine two high which is so much easier to manage. Brilliant in keeping the costs down too 👍 love the compost bin. Lovely paint colour on your fence. Its satisfying when you get a lot of jobs done. Looks really good. Thanks for sharing and take care 🙂
Thanks Christine 😁😁
Hi there, a USA citizen, I have a question about your “raised garden beds” did you make them? If you bought them do you think the makers of them sell to the USA? I like the looks of them. Thank you for your trip around the gardens-allotments. I liked it a lot.
What medium are you going to spread in the walkways? Wood chips? Gravel?
These are called pallet collars here- ring supports used in the transport of goods. This plot now has concrete flags mainly on the paths!
