    Great video! I have the exact same vise and I place on doin something very similar to mine when I get some time, it was my fathers vise and his fathers before him.
    On the areas you taped off and did not apply paint to - did you spray any lacquer or protective sealer on that bare metal?

      I have one identical to it the nearest I can tell from my research is early 1930s
