3:11 You can actually enter the lynx room without glitches through the bottom left path with some very tricky bubble jumps (though you probably need the B.B.Wand) and the Yoyo. I’ve done it before thinking that’s the intended way in
you know, your coverage of animal well made me play the game, and i love it! for a puzzle game its surprisingly easy to grasp! being curious is rewarding as i've got already 8 eggs in just an hour and a half of play with no assistance! usually i'm not very good at puzzles but i can handle these just fine! i really wanna go for this final ending now!
Holy cow. I got through everything with collecting all the eggs, beating the game figured out the binary code, got the 2nd ending, got all the rabbits (had to look up some here), and, again with some help, did the final bit where you transform. I thought that was it, other than speed-running rewards. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised, but man, there's just more and more to this game
absolutely outstanding game. I gave up at 57 eggs and 2 bunnies and started searching help on the internet. Im not a puzzle solver junkie like you guys haha. But i did watch all your videos about the game and i they are so interesting. Besides you being an amazing narrator, seeing all the secrets hidden in this tiny game made my jaw drop litteraly. And im really hyped to see more. Im sure its not the end yet. Congrats to everyone involved.
the layers this game has is genuinely insane, this game is an insane art masterpiece and breaking the fourth wall to be personally congratulated gave me goosebumps. every video i have watched of animal well has impressed me so so much. well done to billy and his team for this game
This is an obvious step to take, but perhaps setting your computers clock forwards or backwards 277 years could reveal a secret? And for a set point of reference, maybe 277 years from animal wells release
All of the secrets in Animal Well feel like something from Ready Player One. A bunch of secrets carefully placed by a developer that cares. Truly an amazing experience
I thought I was watching a video about getting the wings all the way until you said the start point was after that. The wings thing already had blown my mind but this is on a whole other level.
3:15 correction about the wheel: you can get it with just the bubble and disc (yoyo helps), you can enter through the bottom left exit of the cat room where you get the wheel exclusive egg, the entrance is the gap in the spikes just before the second seahorse fight. if you bubble up the spike passage from the bottom, you can use the disc or the yoyo to break the icicles, though you will probably take damage and have to come back up (you can do this without taking damage but its very hard). once you come up again you will have solid land to stand on and can easily break the rest of the icicles, and then its just a matter of going up through the cat room with the bubble. i did this on my first playthrough, after getting the drill, and i didn't know you could gain height hy bubbling directlt below you... it took me 90 minutes... and after discovering this and doing the quest i immediately tried the song on a new save file lol curious since you didn't mention this, how'd you go with transcribing the song and what was your process? asking because I've seen other people struggle a lot with this
Regarding the squirrel you identify as the hardest: its hitbox is large enough that it can be approached along the slightly lower floor to the right. Just sneak until you see the prompt.
What about the submarine or the lanterns which come in red, blue and green? I have a theory that you have to add up all the total number of lanterns of each colour then use them as bit values (0-255), to find the right colour of something you're supposed to look for in the game.
i'll be pretty honest with you: i feel bad for not knowing on my own about the BDTP puzzle, it felt so confusing to solve on your own because of how it worked, and seeing not only that this game has even more secrets, but also a personal message from the devs, especially for solving the puzzle makes me sad for not solving it on my own with that said, the message is amazing and tbf, *i could cry if i hadn't lost my tear ducts in the war* ... and i wish all the best for the devs for this amazing game they brought to us, even if i couldn't get most of the stuff from layer 3, i still enjoyed the game nonetheless
what an incredible game. i just beat the game (rolled credits) and nothing more but holyyyy its so deep. wow floored but the time spent on it. kudos to the creator
If these kinds of puzzles were in like ocarina of time, or any game from like 7, 10, or 20 years ago I genuinely think they would have never been solved. This genuinely like stuff people would say on the playground at school "like did you know that in animal well if you find all the bunnies you are taken to a secret island and then you have to solve another flying puzzle and then you actually unlock the ability for yourcharacter to fly. And then after that you can do another set of random and complicated tasks that then give you random symbols, but if you organize them in the shape of colors on one poster that is background art it gives you another map to follow that takes you to a message from the creator" Like genuinely impossible to solve pre internet or early internet era. So it is even more impressivethat it was litterally solved in the same month that animal well was fully released. Crazy work you guys have done and what a great game you have made mr. Basso, I hope you make more games and I will look forward to whatever you make.
Part of me thinks Billys message was kinda sarcastic. Even though it is pretty wild HOW fast all this was solved, but he should know from his ARGs how determined the community is to uncover absurd mysteries within a few days or weeks, yet he says this as if it could've taken months or years. I think there is more to it and I also agree that Dunkeys message could hint at something. That connection to the end game area also doesn't look like an accident.
in regard to the missing wall after open the time capsule, when you use the remote along the wall on the manticore entrance side, you can actually see a chest reaction. I first thought that it must have been a secret chest containing an egg or something similar, but with this new context, I believe that that remote reaction is actually the aforementioned time capsule.
You can get the squirrel by the first save point in the tutorial area quite easily. As long as you don't scare it away when entering the room, you can get to it from behind by taking the upper path, very similarly to how you do the first one you do at 6:49.
"Man, Tunic's puzzles really kicked my sorry behind. I really need a simpler game to wind down with. ...ooh, how about this nice little pixel art platformer with the funny meatball man and spooky animals?"
What a magical game. I only wish there was more of this game. I wonder how much more amazing stuff Billy Basso could've done if he had a team! Or a level editor cuz using items to reach new places was fun. Would be fun to try out other ppl's levels!
Since there is a red and blue manticore and in the entire map there are red and blue lights, maybe thats a secret as well? And whats up with all these glass blocks in the world??
Are you saying that if the player wasn't recording while playing it, and closed that Unicode popup window, they would have no way of seeing the Unicode string ever again?
@NeoKat75 The wheel one (and all the others) can be acquired multiple times (just in a new run), but the stepcounter one, unfortunately, can seemingly only be acquired once.
interesting thing i saw- there are still some flute songs people smarter than me datamined that teleport to the (supposed) collectors edition room. theres also a bottom warp room code, which lets you open the door between the eel and main warps and one that teleport to the animal statues area, where you place the flames
I sure hope the collectors edition does NOT have any secrets. Having secret codes or messages behind a limited edition paywall is not what i imagined in this game. would be a bad aftertaste to an otherwise perfect puzzle game.
I found a few more symbols when obtaining the cheaters ring and getting to certain areas early picking up some items produced a string of unicode symbols
3:13 I actually found this room without using the top by entering from below in the room that has the chest over the spikes (secret room above the "boss fight" before getting seahorse flame) Really hard using disc and bubbles (Even harder if we consider that my pc can't handle the game so I was essentially playing at half speed)
This game is genuinely one of the best games I've ever experienced, and I really hope this game can hit the mainstream, it definentally deserves to be recognized in the bigger part of society
3:13 You can actually just use the bubble wand and yo yo to enter the lynx room from the left lower side (from the room above the seahorse battle that leads to that fire, the wall on the left has an opening between the spikes where there is a room with a chest on top of spikes meant to be grabbed with the wheel by going down, but you can carefully go up that shaft and break the spikes along the way).
in the tamagotchi, which chest are you supposed to open with less than 100 steps (or does it need to be exactly 99?), i can see 3 chests, but in fury's clip at 1:04 it looks like there were 4 chests???some more clearification on that would be nice since rolling the step count over takes quite a while
Hey great video. I already did it but I like that you broke down how it’s solved so we can appreciate it and showed us screens most of us won’t see by ourselves. Would you mind doing the same for figurines? All the videos on RUclips saying “100%” aren’t showing us the room at the end with all the figurines. I’d like to actually see your style of video collecting each figurine one by one like you did here with the Wingdings. Thanks.
Thank you! I'll be doing that, but it's going to be a little while because two figurines are for the collector's edition and I am almost positive I want to wait until that's actually available. i.e. I don't want to just put datamined information out here. I need to wait until it's "legitimate."
@@FuryForged I see, I didn’t realize some were still unreleased. In that case, maybe a video showing us the two methods of collecting the cheaters ring and a tour of all the unreleased bunnies, pink switches, game corruptions and unremoved animal dialogue? If you back up your save file of course haha
Recently discovered you can play semitones and octaves on the flute by holding the triggers, yet I don't think this has been used in any puzzles yet...
I do wonder if there's a sound related puzzle as the water spouted as part of some of the puzzles sounds like a set of tones when it bounces, that along with what you said about ambiances... maybe something is there in the sound, like more notes to play, to warp you somewhere else when slowed down, or sped up or whatever. The spouted water especially sounds plausible as it seems in a similar tone range.
i wonder how Billy feels about this secret ending being out so quckly, figuring it out alone in a vacuum really seems impossible, but i think he underestimated how people on the internet would work together to crack this, reminds me of how people dealt with inscryption lore anyways amazing game, it truly is the lasagna of video games
Could the opposite be true where the sky map has structures that get destroyed when exploring the base map? Is there anything in the other sections of the skymap
In the room nearly entirely to the top-left there is one wind pad that doesn't show up on the map and it makes me go crazy. What in the world is it about??
The fact that sneeking on a pair of joycons isn't even possible is crazy to me. I can't fathom the intricacies of this game to see the different layers, a gamers, gamers gamers, game.
I swear to god, if the gaming community dedicated this kind of problem-solving potential to the real world, we'd have solved the secrets of the universe and be exploring other galaxies by now
Is there any puzzle in the background of the swordfish lake? The background pillars in the middle and right room (with the telephone) has 8 distinct heights. Thought it might be a code. I tried corresponding each height to a number and playing the sequence with the flute, but I havent been able to discover anything
It probably is, but in conjunction with other groups of notes scattered around the world, including the lights in the house and the red circles on the duck-bunny image. I’m almost certain of this.
One song that i think it should be tried around the game is the one of Close Encounter Of The Third Kind The 5 notes alphabet could be the key for something
You need to find all of the bunnies first. I talk about it at the end of my bunny video. The content of this video can’t be accessed until after you do that.
I missed a couple blocks of dirt on the capsule island when I threw the top. A couple blocks of dirt remained in the passage that opened up between the start and ending zones, corresponding to the blocks of dirt that were missed on the island. I wonder if there are other floating islands out there in the void with breakable blocks of dirt that provide access to the cheaters' ring, or any of the animals thereby discovered? Or perhaps something else? If the void world corresponds to the main map, and the capsule island corresponds to that screen, then if you follow the path backward in the real world, where does that place the giant bunny island? I feel like there could be more to discover about this game.
i feel like the people that solve these puzzles along with the guy that made them could solve all of the worlds problems in one day and have time to spare... to solve more puzzles, amazing🤣😂😁
This game is absolutely brilliant 👏 I want nothing more than animal well II but, i want it to have the exact amount of integrity if not more, same fun puzzles and lore but i dont want to wait 7 years for it...although i totally will.

3:11 You can actually enter the lynx room without glitches through the bottom left path with some very tricky bubble jumps (though you probably need the B.B.Wand) and the Yoyo. I’ve done it before thinking that’s the intended way in
6 minutes ago, this rabbit hole (pardon the pun) will never end lol
Rabbit well
Flan is also a developer for the other bigmode game!
Oh snap! I did not know that.
These videos are amazing and I love this game’s depth… just so wild.
I bet the puzzles and intricacy is inspired by Spelunky
you know, your coverage of animal well made me play the game, and i love it! for a puzzle game its surprisingly easy to grasp! being curious is rewarding as i've got already 8 eggs in just an hour and a half of play with no assistance! usually i'm not very good at puzzles but i can handle these just fine! i really wanna go for this final ending now!
When I first played this game it was like a time capsule for me, suddenly I realized it's already dark outside and I was playing for 6h straight
hey it's me dunkey. i've been trapped in these eyes for 277 years
Holy cow. I got through everything with collecting all the eggs, beating the game figured out the binary code, got the 2nd ending, got all the rabbits (had to look up some here), and, again with some help, did the final bit where you transform. I thought that was it, other than speed-running rewards. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised, but man, there's just more and more to this game
damn man that gave me a little tear of happiness. I would have missed all of this without you FF, thank you once again!
Truly amazing guys. Congrats! 🎉
absolutely outstanding game.
I literally was at the same exact point when i gave up lol
the layers this game has is genuinely insane, this game is an insane art masterpiece and breaking the fourth wall to be personally congratulated gave me goosebumps. every video i have watched of animal well has impressed me so so much. well done to billy and his team for this game
I guess, the second game from Billy Basso will be even more cryptic, so his puzzle could be unsolved for at least two week.
This is an obvious step to take, but perhaps setting your computers clock forwards or backwards 277 years could reveal a secret? And for a set point of reference, maybe 277 years from animal wells release
this has been tried. your computer will not allow you to set your clock that far ahead in the future
@@llxxlxxlxxll that's part of the puzzle, you have to use the registry editor
Time to reroute the OS API call, then.
@@llxxlxxlxxll That's what you get for using Windows instead of writing your own operating system.
@@Beunibster try that with switch/ps5 version. the solution 'should' be able to do on every platform
This has been my most anticipated video in months.
3:15 correction about the wheel: you can get it with just the bubble and disc (yoyo helps), you can enter through the bottom left exit of the cat room where you get the wheel exclusive egg, the entrance is the gap in the spikes just before the second seahorse fight. if you bubble up the spike passage from the bottom, you can use the disc or the yoyo to break the icicles, though you will probably take damage and have to come back up (you can do this without taking damage but its very hard). once you come up again you will have solid land to stand on and can easily break the rest of the icicles, and then its just a matter of going up through the cat room with the bubble.
i did this on my first playthrough, after getting the drill, and i didn't know you could gain height hy bubbling directlt below you... it took me 90 minutes... and after discovering this and doing the quest i immediately tried the song on a new save file lol
curious since you didn't mention this, how'd you go with transcribing the song and what was your process? asking because I've seen other people struggle a lot with this
That's right. I forgot to mention that some people are insane and actually get in from down there, lol ;P GG!
I still think there is a lot we haven't solved.
completely unrelated but what IS your pfp? what is that athena sprite..
@@skeletonizermal Its a custom sprite I found online, some years ago. As far as I can tell, nobody else on the internet uses it.
Did I once hear footsteps in the house/office... are there children there??
i'll be pretty honest with you: i feel bad for not knowing on my own about the BDTP puzzle, it felt so confusing to solve on your own because of how it worked, and seeing not only that this game has even more secrets, but also a personal message from the devs, especially for solving the puzzle makes me sad for not solving it on my own
with that said, the message is amazing and tbf, *i could cry if i hadn't lost my tear ducts in the war* ... and i wish all the best for the devs for this amazing game they brought to us, even if i couldn't get most of the stuff from layer 3, i still enjoyed the game nonetheless
which war?
what an incredible game. i just beat the game (rolled credits) and nothing more but holyyyy its so deep. wow floored but the time spent on it. kudos to the creator
Does sound like some “Mew under the truck” type shit
That's pretty cool I guess. I'm the guy who figured out that the fish dancing gives you a warp song.
He probably didn't expect how popular the game would be
in regard to the missing wall after open the time capsule, when you use the remote along the wall on the manticore entrance side, you can actually see a chest reaction.
Somebody should set their PC clock to 277 years in the past and witness the moment Dunkey got stuck in the game code.
Random weird concept: When Billy Basso says "Break the 4th wall" - could you be at the snail island wall while this message plays?
"Man, Tunic's puzzles really kicked my sorry behind. I really need a simpler game to wind down with. ...ooh, how about this nice little pixel art platformer with the funny meatball man and spooky animals?"
I need to see a documentary on how the community solved all of these, because this is absolutely insane.
What a magical game. I only wish there was more of this game. I wonder how much more amazing stuff Billy Basso could've done if he had a team!
Or a level editor cuz using items to reach new places was fun. Would be fun to try out other ppl's levels!
Ok. I knew about the eggs and two rabbits... But yeah I'm going to like and then pause the video and come back when I'm ready for the spoilers.
Potions eh?
Sonebody call Mìna. We got some alchemy to finnish
Seems like you can't get the wheel one at all if you have it already. Man.
Damn i didnt know about this masterpiece and just discovered it thanks to a random youtube video. This is a pearl
I found a few more symbols when obtaining the cheaters ring and getting to certain areas early picking up some items produced a string of unicode symbols
Could you elaborate on what you specifically did?
3:13 I actually found this room without using the top by entering from below in the room that has the chest over the spikes (secret room above the "boss fight" before getting seahorse flame)
Really hard using disc and bubbles
(Even harder if we consider that my pc can't handle the game so I was essentially playing at half speed)
I've already got it all recorded ;D
@@FuryForged No way 🤯 You rock I’m subscribed 🔥
Recently discovered you can play semitones and octaves on the flute by holding the triggers, yet I don't think this has been used in any puzzles yet...
15:40 The sound of solving Runescape clue scrolls totally legitimately
I do wonder if there's a sound related puzzle as the water spouted as part of some of the puzzles sounds like a set of tones when it bounces, that along with what you said about ambiances... maybe something is there in the sound, like more notes to play, to warp you somewhere else when slowed down, or sped up or whatever. The spouted water especially sounds plausible as it seems in a similar tone range.
1:57 - for those curious, the sprite got replaced with the Bigmode sprite
god this game rules. and this video rules. and you rule, fury! thanks for the stellar breakdown.
I wonder of the 2 byte update that happened recently did anything important?
i wonder how Billy feels about this secret ending being out so quckly, figuring it out alone in a vacuum really seems impossible, but i think he underestimated how people on the internet would work together to crack this, reminds me of how people dealt with inscryption lore
anyways amazing game, it truly is the lasagna of video games
Don't get me wrong I love puzzle games, but this level of puzzle is insanity to me. Thanks for breaking it down though!
Man, that outer space music is straight up gorgeous. And then the Time Capsule... HOLY SHIT
I look forward to figuring out the figurines.
Could the opposite be true where the sky map has structures that get destroyed when exploring the base map? Is there anything in the other sections of the skymap
There is !
This is some Fez/Tunic level madness. No way I was going to figure any of this out.
18:20 how could you possible think that players would not solve every puzzle in a puzzle game? If it exists, players will find it.
I love this game!!! I found all eggs yesterday:)
Congrats on being one of the best on this type of content Fury!
Thank you very much. I will be making a video on it soon, yeah, since I think that it might actually be an intended upgrade...in some weird way.
I'll come back to this video I have some well to attend to
I swear to god, if the gaming community dedicated this kind of problem-solving potential to the real world, we'd have solved the secrets of the universe and be exploring other galaxies by now
That time capsule is so sweet.
you have to set 277 years from release date on windows next
after learning about the red and blue manticores i had hope oh so much for a green one. but alas. here we are.
Hang on...
Animal well came out on May 9th 2024. This super secret after game discovery post 14:56 was made on May 11th 2024... HOW IN GOD'S NAME!!!!
One song that i think it should be tried around the game is the one of Close Encounter Of The Third Kind
The 5 notes alphabet could be the key for something
I do like how he even congratulates people like us watching a youtube video for the solution.
14:19 what is that flying form? I can't find information about it
You need to find all of the bunnies first.
This is madness. Serious question, how did anyone discover all the wrong warping stuff?
Yooo, is that a track from Cave Story? I'm pretty sure it is. So on point.
I didn't even played the game but this was very interesting, how do people manage to find these things... it's crazy
Dude, thank you for your videos. This game is no doubt a masterpiece, but I’ve found your videos to be a proper companion. Cheers.
Thank *you* so much!
i feel like the people that solve these puzzles along with the guy that made them could solve all of the worlds problems in one day and have time to spare... to solve more puzzles, amazing🤣😂😁
14:20 how did you become a little butterfly???? I’ve never seen that before
It’s your reward for completing the third layer of the game involving (spoilers):
Finding and freeing all the bunnies.
This game is absolutely brilliant 👏
I want nothing more than animal well II but, i want it to have the exact amount of integrity if not more, same fun puzzles and lore but i dont want to wait 7 years for it...although i totally will.
