These are very nice cars. They look great and drive really well and are a relative bargain, at least here in North America, BUT 237hp in a car this size and this price is totally inadequate. Why GM doesn't make the 325hp 2.7 L I4 available in the CT5 is beyond me
@@paulcheek5711 Not much is as big as a 1970 Eldorado. My point is the CT5 is a 3800LB car with 237HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. The 1970 was 4600lb but had 400hp and 550 lb-ft. The 2.0L is a decent engine just at this price in what is supposed to be a sport sedan 237HP is pretty meager.
@@spinedoc893 well you can always order the ct5 v twin turbo 337 hp and that is a fast one. And is only $ 3500 more. Now the have some incentives for this cars.
I really like this car I don't care about v I live in Toronto full of traffic even 10hp is enough as long goes 60 to 100 km an hour which we barley even go from traffic lights traffic and stop signs So I seen some used few years for decent price even though prices been high for no reason whatsoever in everything There are some for maybe 40k used with maybe 30k km on them or 40k km sometimes less depends on the model and option has
I just bought a 3.0TT Premium luxury and absolutely love it!! I was planning to buy a new V series but happened across a to good to be true deal on a very slightly used 2024 premium luxury that an older gentleman bought and drove for 2 weeks and less than 500 km but decided it was too hard to get in and out of so traded it in on an SUV. I got it for $15K off MSRP (so imagine how badly they screwed the poor fella that traded it in!!) otherwise I would have bought a new V series. IMO the extra 25hp, the Brembo brakes, Posi traction rear end and magnetic ride control makes the V a pretty good value for the extra price. I also looked at the TLX type S. I liked it a lot but didn't care so much for the 'star wars' looks or the interior and just preferred the overall feel of the CT5 and liked that the Cadillac has 4 years of oil changes and tire rotations included. Also I live in a smaller Canadian town and we do have a local Caddy dealer but the nearest Acura dealer is an hr away. Hard to go wrong with either but really happy with the CT5!
@spinedoc893 sounds like you got a great deal. Congrats. Not sure how auto insurance is in Canada, but if you can buy an extended warranty a little bit before the bumper to bumper manufacturer warranty runs out, do it through your insurance company. It's literally half the price, and with GM products, probably a good idea. I had an ATS, loved it, but when I got over 50k miles it started having some electrical issues.
that screen sold me i was gonna buy the 2024 but ill wait till the 2025 drops!
when does it drop?

What's that knocking sound when he is driving?
The fact that the mirror to look at yourself is halogen light instead of LED💀
Still debating if I go with the V series 3.0tt of this or a TLX Type S? Any thoughts folks?

It’s not that slow .. it could use a tune and make sure you run 93 octane
There's no super cruise in this car
For that kind of money the trunk is too small and the opening when the seats are down is way too small. Can barely get two sets of clubs through it
Price?
nearby $40,000
$40000 isn’t bad for that luxury Caddy!
Are these Cadillac's made in China?
The big chinese screens make cars look cheap.
sooo slow.... needs the v engine.... engine sounds crappy also
I still won’t buy one!
