The best part is 7:48 to 7:58
This is how we all feel when the spam is gone for good.

No suggestion for simplelogin or other similar services? Creating more full fledged email accounts to cut down on spam mail seems like a terrible solution.

But I would still need to start with a clean, new, primary email address, right? Creating aliases for my 10-year-old spam-ridden email address is not going to stop spam from coming to it.

Yeah, abandon services like gmail and yahoo mail in favor of privacy-oriented services like proton mail. With a paid subscription you also get simplelogin, which is the best email alias service out there (imho).
You can use simplelogin with your old email addresses, but as you said it's going to be hard to completely eliminate spam mails you receive in an old email.

Yahoo Mail is easy to set up an alias, but is nearly impossible to turn off or disable. Widespread complaints about the problem.

I can't even use steps given here for alias. Doesn't show in my browser. I'd love to setup 1.

I would have linked real Email Aliasing services like SimpleLogin, Fastmail Masked Email, AnonAddy, Forwardemail, ImprovMx, DuckDuckGo Email Protection or Firefox Relay.

I agree. Suggesting to create multiple Gmail accounts is very bad advice.

@gzajic I agree wholeheartedly, and I wish I had known that a month ago because I actually tried to set up a couple of new Gmail addresses then. It backfired when Google blacklisted my phone number, thinking I was up to no good. I was forced to change my number, and now I'm in the process of de-googling my life as far as it's possible. I'm done with Google.
So, do not ever set up a new Gmail account without having a new phone and number to associate that account with. Otherwise you'll be screwed.
