Yeah there are probably only two dancers in Produce 101 and 48 who don't wake up with nightmares in the middle of the night from their days under Bae Yoon Jeong and that's her favorite daughters Chaeyeon and Chungha. She was tough, but if you are on a show to debut, you need to be perfect, not just acceptable. If you can't take the pressure of her critique in class you will never survive netizens picking at you the first time you make a glaring mistake on stage. It's as much a mental toughness test as it is a dancing critique. Not everyeone will be a main dancer, but they have to be clean enough not to draw attention for doing something wrong. or messing up the main and lead dancers by being off beat or out of position.
Liyah Lee bruh if it wasn’t Lisa then no one would be saying anything. But because it’s Lisa all these haters start barking like freaking dogs I’m sick of it.
Very Rare they want to drag down blackpink, they always criticise blackpink for any small mistake or for any misunderstanding and its getting irritating now😔
@@AN-mm9dd when from what I heard in the video, it sounds like she's speaking Thai bcuz for one she is from Thailand but it sorta sounds like traditional Chinese as well, is it?
@@strangebangtan12 Basically it is a mainland Chinese show. Lisa speaks English and Thai because she doesn't know Chinese. She speaks English mainly with the other mentors because two of them can also speak English. But for the small interview segments she speaks Thai. And when training the trainees and giving them feedback she speaks both English and Thai. I hope this helped 😊💜
Lisa isn't being mean or scary. She's being a good teacher. She's telling these trainees the truth and helping them fix their mistakes. When she told the trainee that she didn't have to be sorry to Lisa but instead be sorry to her friends, I couldn't help but agree with her. Lisa is doing her job, and the longer it takes that trainee to do it right, the longer her friends have to practice. It may sound harsh to people who don't dance, but that's how it goes. Dance is much more than just memorizing the movements. Lisa is training them to be good enough to win. It's what they signed up for.
that is really true. I remember feeling bad in my dance class that my dance teacher did not point out my mistakes all the time and I knew I was messing up so I just tried to improve
i agree, i feel like people who have never trained in this way are just sensitive. she wasn’t mean at all, just straight forward. these trainees have a short amount of time to improve before each challenge and if they don’t, they’ll quickly be eliminated. lisa doesn’t have time to sugar coat or beat around the bush, they need to know exactly what they’ve done wrong so they can quickly fix it. i actually like her mentoring style better than some past mentors because she’s quick to critique but also quick to praise and let them know when they’re doing good. she’s also very meticulous and makes sure to fix even the smallest of details. it’s annoying seeing them say she’s being malicious when she’s just being a good mentor, and watching the show you can see how much she cares and takes what shes doing seriously.
She's been dancing for almost 20 YEARS! She enrolled in dance classes at the age of four and she is 23 now. I think that is why she is so hard on them; She wants them to improve and they need to know what they're doing wrong otherwise they'll never get better and it'll reflect poorly on Lisa
She's being a good mentor, some ppl don't understand, the girls came to improve, if she doesn't tell them what they do wrong the won't improve, simple.
@@TxxaRxxn Yeah exactly. Where in fact there are some mentors out there who is much worse than Lisa. Some of them were cursing in front of you, screaming, but Lisa didn't. Of course specially she's a professional, and there's no way for her to act like that, she's a good person. Hearing what Jisoo said that in 10 years being with Lisa together, they don't see Lisa being that hard or tough, Lisa is an understanding person. She gets angry of course but in a particular way. In good manners. Its normal to get angry. Lisa did a great job as a Mentor. I love her.
Honestly, Lisa was tough but not cruel and that's how good dance teachers are. She's telling them their mistakes straight up, she's not insulting them or anything like that. As she said in the beginning, she wants the trainees to pay attention to details and get them right and of course, Lisa catches the mistakes quickly so they don't keep dancing the wrong way and make those wrong movements a habit. It may seem harsh but that's how hard it is to be an idol. That's how hard Lisa was trained and that's why she's one of the best dancers in the industry. All we see as fans is the glory they go through, the concerts, fun vlogs, etc., but we rarely see how hard they trained as trainees. You have to put your blood, sweat and tears into it. Remember, Lisa said something like, if you're not here to work hard, you shouldn't be here at all. Lisa wants them to succeed but to succeed you have to have that work ethic. ALL THAT BEING SAID, if it were me, I'd be following Lisa's advice but crying at the same time lmao I have issues with authority figures yelling at or criticizing me XD
Bruh the industry is competitive. If you don’t work your ass off them you don’t deserve it. Also ppl only getting mad because it’s Lisa. If it was anyone else they wouldn’t even care but since it’s Lisa they get triggered
All kpop idols including Lisa also went through the harshness when they were still trainees. Look where they are now, Lisa’s an untouchable icon and an amazing role model of millions of fans. Btw, love your reaction ❤️
She's not being mean. She's being tough. There's a difference. She has to be like this on them or else they won't learn and do as good and fall into bad habits. This idol world is no joke. All the idol groups that have debuted worked their ASSES off and had just as tough or even more so mentors than Lisa. If they wanna succeed this is what it takes. I also used to dance and all my teachers were the same way. Same with any mentor I feel like, regardless if its sports, dance, etc.
NOBODY ASKED BUT HERE WE GO IN THE NEWS ARTICLE CALLED THE FACT the person asked to Lisa “I wonder how you wrote the rap part for AIIYL “ She answered : while working in the song I wrote the English lyrics first , They were better than I expected and I received the opinion that it would be good to use so they used my lyrics . Also I got screenshots so hit me up if your sorry ass doesn’t believe it yet y’all love to talk about how blackpink doesn’t write lyrics . Insta : lalisa_manobalstans
The show “youth with you” is about I think about 100 trainees from China compete to win they get 3 mentors which are Lisa, the dance mentor, Ella, vocal mentor, and JONY J, the rap mentor and the representative, KUN
When Lisa is speaking Chinese her Thai accent shows so much I kept thinking she was speaking Thai, that girl is a genius! Speaking Korean, Japanese, English, Thai and Chinese 😵
soobins ankles party 07:50 she speaking Chinese, she had to learn for this show because it’s in China, but when she speaks Chinese her Thai accent really shows
@@JisooTurtleRabbitt uhmm that's thai. There's always an interpreter behind cam that translates everything she says to the trainees. summn like a sub title and stuff near to that.
Owkiedowkie Yaanaaa are you sure? Because she said she was learning mandarin for this show, there are videos of her on RUclips speaking Chinese, wouldn't make sense for her to speak Thai on a Chinese show
@@JisooTurtleRabbitt yea Im sure. she's learning Mandarin for her not to be left out so she know some Chinese words but She's definitely using thai here. U can search abt it. I'm just sharing what I know. 😊
Lisa is scary when she is a mentor, but it helps a lot. She's trying to help them fix their bad habits. The guy you were talking about in the beginning is Gordan Ramsey. Also, this is for a survival show where, i think, 100 trainees Basically compete to get into a group. Lisa is one of the mentors, AKA a judge. This is a survival show called *Youth With You* night be Chinese, not sure
She’s using the same techniques used on her when she was a trainee, except YG was probably 10 times harder on Lisa than she is on the girls, she was in the same position at one point so I’m 100% with Lisa they will thank her in the future for being tough with them, also when they do a good job she doesn’t hesitate to tell them that they did amazing and that makes the reward even more like a reward you know?
The way you two react makes me realise that even though you’ve been doing this kpop thing for years, you still don’t understand how the industry works and what is needed for idols to be able to perform so flawlessly on the stage.
@Chochoya true.. the korean industry seems much tougher. even the trainees seem less relaxed and more focused to win in Produce... and that's on a show, I'm guessing in companies like SM where they have like 50 trainees training for years so that only 5-10 of them can debut once every four years would be a nightmare on your mental health.. you have to be really tough to manage to debut. and after that comes all the scrutiny from the public. only the best can survive in such an environment..
@@giuliat1443 the kpop industry is brutal. a lot of money is spent just the training, sometimes for years. plus the competition is so fierce especially now that a lot of these kids have been training since childhood.
@@TheShadowsFearX korean artists have been talking about their situations for years. even in those idol competition shows they share the same stories over and over again. derp...
@@TheShadowsFearX bruh. on a scale of 1 - orbital bombardment, how high were you when you typed that? 2ndly, does your drug dealer give bulk discounts?
Jay Fuller alright here’s my point: these two have been doing Kpop videos for years, at first for enjoyment, but now they’re making money off of kpop fans. Shouldn’t it be common sense to expect that they understand their content more than this? If they’re making a living out of kpop contents, I should be able to at least expect that they have some background about what they’re reacting to. I don’t see anything wrong with that tbh.
The thing with facial expressions, in dancing and kpop in general, expression and charisma is super important. All those facial expressions idols have when they’re performing is acting and they have to know the choreography so well that they can focus more on those expressions. It’s what brings the viewer in, the performer has to look like they’re enjoying what they’re doing, whether they do or don’t
I don't understand why it shocks so many people that Lisa is strict in practically 4 years of career she never made any missteps. She has always been perfect in all areas. Lisa has always been the most smiling and it's not because she's necessarily happy it's just professionalism. So it doesn't surprise me that she is a perfectionist and she must surely be very hard with herself just to see her journey since she is young she has always given herself thoroughly. She always pushes her limits to be the best. A truly admirable journey, the first on 4000 in auditions in Thailand after she arrives in a foreign country where she is trained by the best teachers in one of the strictest agencies, knowing that in addition she did not know how to speak Korean at all she had to adapt to learn as quickly as possible and despite everything as Jennie said in an interview that when she was trained "Lisa always got an A for everything", it simply means that Lisa was always at the top of their monthly evaluations, whether it was dancing, rapping , compose or sing. She is truly incredible, she is not human.
As a dancer myself the way she was mentoring them wasn’t even that mean or scary. She was just criticizing them on mistakes because facials and details are important in dance. Nobody wants to see a performance with a poker face. Also react to BTS “ I like it” and DKB “Sorry Mama”
Also this is how she was taught in YG. I'm a competitive dancer and my teacher does this exact thing. She worked hard non-stop and was criticized but she became a better dancer because of it.
I LOVE LISA SO MUCH! She is being a great teacher because you can't be like "aww sweetie hold on you are doing that a bit wrong." NO! THAT SHIT AINT GONNA WORK! You have to be a bit more strict and get it through the person's head. When you are a trainee it's hard, but not impossible. And that's the same with becoming and being an idol. Being an idol isn't easy shit gonna be ruff as hell but it's worth it because your fans are by your side. She is teaching them that not everyone will be nice about mistakes and you have to learn how to take harsh words. She is a great mentor and I am so proud of her. I wish her and the other members could show off their skill but YG is a PAIN IN THE ASS! Anyways I can't wait to see Lisa grow and even maybe some of these trainees.
When Lisa was like “I told you to smile and you just ignored my word” blinks made that part into a meme😂they got another idol that wasn’t smiling and made it look like Lisa was talking to them😂😂
This is a Chinese survival program called “Youth With You.” 109 trainees are competing for the final 9 spots to debut in a girl group. There are 2 new episodes every week on the iQIYI app, but they always uploads Lisa’s clips on their youtube channel. Lisa was invited as a dance mentor bc her dance covers have gone viral in China several times, so this is her first step into the Chinese market. Apart from Lisa, there is a vocal mentor, a rap mentor, and the representative.
I love this side of Lisa. If you’ve ever played a sport or anything competitive, the coach/mentor is always like this (if they’re good). And I’ve been so thankful for that bc it’s made me stronger in the long run. It would be a waste of everyone’s time if they are soft and coddle you the whole time. If you want to be the best then you’ll realize it’s a tough world out there
Dance leaders in every group is scary! I swear!!! Have you seen Hobi? He may he laughing or smiling but bruh... the dude is scary. When I watched this compilation first, I was hella... hella... scared. Edit: woah... being a scary or strict dance leader is not a bad thing lol... Hobi is not scary, SCARY, like his going to eat us or in a monster way ... his 'expression' or 'way' just changed. Like... we all see him as a happy sunshine, but... when he is focused into something he really transformed into a 'strict' teacher and it's not a bad thing... we can see that he can handle his role very, very well. So as Lisa, we can see her as a cheeful, always smiling, but when she is doing her 'role' as a dance mentor, she is focused into doing it properly so that her students can learn more and be good at thier thing. Hahaha sorry about my english, you see english is not my first language hahaha borahae
In his mine he was like this bitches lol let me just smile but I think they actually very different while teaching because lisa is from YG they are super strict and Hobi is from BigHit even through they are also strict they are more understanding and chill and try to not make you feel super bad while lisa she is strict and she knows that if she says you are doing it wrong they will try harder and that’s what she wants .
When Taehyung messed up the choreography live one time, everyone was giggling or smiling. Hobi was just not having it. The look on his face was genuine intimidating. Kinda hot, YET scary
Lisa is giving them "a hard time" cause she knows how hard it is out there those comments are NOTHING compared to what they gonna see when they debut or when they perform.... and u wanna see mean and even harder comments? Watch PRODUCE 101 Season 1. Their mentors ARE INSANE Lisa is nothing compared to their dance mentor and Rapper... And Lisa has been dancing for almost 20 years she said it in an interview about how long she has been dancing....
There is a difference between being tough and being mean. Her intentions were never ill. She always said stuff and did the things that she did to help them. If she's too nice with them they'll get comfortable and will want to work with less effort than if they had to be put on the spot without having a friend. Your coach is not your friend. The coach is there to make sure you do things correctly.
I can see Simon Cowell in Lisa...mean and harsh but, only because she wants the best for the trainees...success is equals to motivation + hardwork + determination
I wish I had a teacher like Lisa who fixed the little mistakes (although I’m talking about violin) because now I go to these violin classes and I don’t have right posture or I can’t hold my bow right because my teacher just left it. I really am glad that Lisa is fixing these small mistakes so they won’t look like fools in the future.
😂😂😂 They didn't expect she is the cute lisa. 10:00 OMG I'm going to cry from laughing 😂😂 "I know what it is,you wanna be a great dancer ¦ lisa : more felling 💃¦"
I don’t believe she was being to harsh at all, especially to the girl she told to smile, from Lisa’s point of view number one they said they had been practicing for a while but it didn’t look like it, number two that group is class A which means they shouldn’t be making as much mistakes as the lower classes....if you want to be an idol you have to give 110% and then some more because it’s so freakin competitive, if she was “nice” about it that wouldn’t be helpful, from my little experience from dance classes whenever I would make mistakes and my teacher would call me out on it yes it was embarrassing and sometimes humiliating but because of that it made me want to work harder! But that’s just my two cents lol also can you react to jhope mentoring trainees?💜💜
The smiling part I understand the girl because she could have been nervous or forgot to smile, but that doesn't make her any less than the others. I love Lisa but that ain't it. I don't like her method of teaching. She's still talented tho
Queen Cutie I don’t think you get it. My dance teacher is like Lisa and my teacher always tells us to smile. Because the dance industry is very hard now imagine the idol industry. My teacher told us that if we won’t be able to even follow simple directions then their is no point in them trying to teach us. Lisa is training them to be idol. Not people who go up on stage and dance for a trophy. Lisa had been a trainee for 5 years and and had been dancing for more that 20 years. This is a survival show not every girl is set to debut only the best of the best and if that girl can’t even do the dance right or smile when they tell her too. That’s gonna cost her a lot of failed auditions.
@@queencutie3804 well first off this girl is a trainee if she wants to make it she's got to follow through, something so easy as smiling shouldn't be hard if she's nervous it's understandable but if u really want to make it u got to throw that away or else someone's gonna take the spot away from u
@@lindabrobey6245 they are class A they are the most talented ones out of all the class and they practiced it already so that explain why lisa is like that she said (she's mot mad she's just disappointed) she's a mentor she's not there to be cute she also said that she can't be softhearted all the time because the trainees won't take her seriously
I’ve watched Lisa being a mentor reaction so many clips before but you guys are hand down the most hilarious reaction I have ever seen. 🤣🤣 I was literally laughing throughout the whole video.
Lisa is a product of years of hard work. Sis trained for 5yrs under YG entertainment, who are known to be brutal/tough. She doesn’t beat around the bush, she knows that if you want to stand out amongst hundreds of trainees each year and get up high in this industry [and ultimately any industry] you need to work your ass off. Periodt.
I personally don’t think she were being mean because if she lets them get away with not doing the choreography properly, they are just going to keep thinking they can get away with it. She’s teaching them to give it their all! I mean she is really passionate about dance so I’m not surprised. I like her cause she doesn’t criticise them in a rude way, more a constructive way! 👏🏼
@@KamiiSola Ik that I was commented to other ppl to see since when I was scrolling down more and more I started to see a FEW comments saying “yeah she kinda looks and seem mean..” but other different but similar comments like that.
I am sooooo late with this comment, but this show is so freaking good! I found it on a sketchy website for free but after having so many virus alerts I just downloaded the app and to my surprise, it is actually free too! Every episode is long so you have plenty of content to make it through quarantine. I started watching it because of the youtube videos of Lisa as a mentor and y'all, I was not ready for this show to be so entertaining. For real, 10/10 would recommend.
i think we just have to take into consideration that these girls are trainees and they are here to compete with each other to debut as nine girls. lisa is there as their mentor and when it comes to it for her to mentor these kids about dancing of course you want to be serious. It’s called tough love, she’s a professional and these girls are not so Lisa is here to help them even if it looks “mean”. She’s been doing this more than a decade and five years of intense training. I just don’t get why whenever a guy does this he looks like he has a lot of power and he knows what he’s doing but when a girl does this she’s mean and a b**. of course Lisa is down to earth, bubbly and nice but she takes her craft seriously. plus there are probably videos of her that got cut out where she became friendly after the class.
I love her coaching style because she’s honest. The entertainment industry is tough as it is, the last thing you want is a mentor that mollycoddles you and doesn’t prepare you for real life. Her feedback is completely valid and will either make them better performers or make them realise faster that the job is not for them.
it isn’t about being mean or nice, this is how idols get talked to on the daily. it’s how you build strength to get through such a tough job. this is how mentors speak to you because they’re being trained and pushed so they can be close to perfect. lisa is training them in her craft just like a coach trains their players.
its basically and idol show. people audition and then are judge by the public every week for their performance, based on what the public vote their are given a rank. Their aim is to stay in the top 11 by the end of the season, those 11 get to make a group. Lisa is the dance mentor, 1 of like 4. The other mentors are for rap, singing, and like overall performance. Korea orginally started shows like this called, produce 101, produce 48, produce X. These shows are kind of responsible for groups like ioi (the group semi was in) and wanna one(the group kang daniel was in). This is like the Chinese version but it's called young with you, you can also find the chinese produce series. Japan also has a produce series. Personally I like young with you better than the Chinese produce series (but that's just me). Although lisa tries to communicate in thai and English she doesn't know chinese so there is a bit of a language Barrier but she does an amazing job. This first time I have actually been dedicated to these kind of shows(probably cause I like all the mentors). i recommend it. sorry for the long comment👌enjoy
I was a dancer so whoever says that Lisa is mean probably hasn’t seen a lot of strict mentors, some are way harsh than Lisa she’s actually being nice, Honestly I’d rather have Lisa as my mentor if anything. She will actually call you out when doing something wrong in dance, she not going to let you just do what you want. If it’s wrong keep doing it until you get it right.
Damn....How can you put Abby and Lisa in the same sentence. The only similarity between them is....they make winners (Hate Abby as much as you like but Jojo, Maddie others would not be if not for Abby) But thats where the similarity ends. Abby is all one could do wrong, with her biasedness, meltdowns, insecurities etc. But Lisa girl, at such a young age her priorities are straight. The self awareness she has, the straightforwardness she has without personally attcking them. She is a gold, an absolute gold.
It's a show in China called Youth with You (season 2). There are four mentors - vocal/signing, rapping, dancing, and a former contestant who's like an all-rounder producer representative. I'm a couple episodes in and, even though Lisa isn't always on screen or anything, it's been entertaining and compelling.
I don't think she's mean at all. Imagine what she went through and what these girls will go through in their career. She's preparing them for a tough career. It's hard but they signed up to be better and Lisa is the perfect mentor for that.
She remind me of myself when I train the young girls at work. Everyone said I'm harsh, particular and too serious. I was like really? I always use an appropriate words with everyone, even take them out for a treat. My job is to make sure they know how to do their job properly. If they didn't do right I always show them how to. I don't let little things slide, so they can better, and that will help them in the future. It's also my/company reputation too. We are not here to play around, of course there's time and place for that. We pay you and we want something in return. Some people are very passion with their job, and she's one of them. I love how she always explain why she said what said. I agree with her 100%. It might be hard now but when they do it right they will be perfect.
I’m pretty sure every idol has had to go through the extreme to be where they are today. So Lisa is teaching from experience, and to be the best you got to do the best you can do. When you practice enough it shows, but if you don’t work to the best of your extent, than ofc you won’t be at your best yet and it will show. All great mentors are honest and teach right from wrong, and I think that Lisa is the perfect mentor for these girls cuz she’s doing exactly what a real mentor would do. You gotta suck it up and know that if you stick it out, be wise, persistent, and confident, succes will be achieved. It’s just tough lovvee
atinyarmycarat stanner they already knew the dance, he wasn’t a mentor, he came to visit and give some pointers because they were doing his song. So we haven’t seen him as a mentor yet.
Lisa was not mean in any way, shape or form. She was trying to help those trainees. The people that judged lisa should become trainees for korean agencies then they'll know what's rude and hard. Even the blackpink members said when they were trainees that their mentors weren't all nice and smiles to them because they had to learn the hard way and take criticisms especially lisa. I'm proud of what lisa did for those trainees. Even jhope is also strict.
11:20 This part had me CRYING of laughter cause it brought me back to being singled out in my own dance classes. The pain that constricts your heart when you realize you're the odd one out is like no other LMAO
This is a chinese show known as Youth With You 2 that hired Lisa as the dance mentor. Similar set up to produce 101. It’s a competition that by the end 9 trainees will get the chance to debut. There are other mentors, vocal, rap, and the MC. Lisa is the only foreign mentor. You can watch it on IQIYI website. There’s episodes with eng sub!
She wasnt that scary. She was strict yet kept her tone light and I liked that alot. U could notice her not being used to talking to others in such a dry tone, but if she can get used to this, she would make a great mentor. If jhope was to be a mentor for example he would be more comfortable in switching from strict to nice cuz he already does that with bts. Meaning he would definitely be more comfortable in being strict. So if Yg can give lisa more jobs that allow her to lead in dancing or mentor more, than she can gain more experience and she will get more comfortable. She is already good at watching and catching mistakes and teaching but it would definitely be better if she could be allowed to experience being a dance leader or mentor more. She is super talented and I liked how she taught them♥️ yall havent seen bae yoon jeong if u think lisa is scary.
Remember it’s yg. Lisa asked to be in dance shows/variety shows instead she was sent into realmen300..a military reality show. It really is incomprehensible how yg definitely knew how Lisa is so great at dancing but wasn’t fully utilized into any kshows to showcased her talent. Some agencies would take that opportunity to sell their artist more, but on her case she was deprived. Though I’m glad a miracle happened when they let her opened her own lilifilm yt channel without any tie up with yg. Must be this military show in exchanged to her yt channel as a compensation for her having to comeback with an injured shoulders after those trainings. But as to date, Lisa is very much blessed. Good karma works with this beautiful soul. 🙏🏼
Lisa was so good as a trainee at YG that she was in charge of monitoring the dance positions. Kind of shows why Blackpink is so good. A former director at YG said watching Lisa’s monthly performance evaluations was less like an evaluation and more like a performance every time.
Haha, this is what mentoring is guys, you have to be tough to your students so they can learn and be better. You have to take the criticism so you can improve. Lisa got the same treatment and look at her right now. Don't ask a mentor to be nicer this is just how it is. And lemme tell you lisa wasn't that tough, yes she is really intimidating because it's another side of her but she is not mean :,,) I took dance class since 6 and I was the worst dancer I thought my teacher was mean back then but she just wanted me to progress and be as the same level than the others.
Some background for anyone who needs it! You can watch the full episodes for free with English subtitles on the IQIYI app -This is a Chinese survival show called Youth with You -there are 109 trainees -they compete to be the top 9 trainees at the end of the show to become a 9 membered girl group -there are mentors for each position in the group, Lisa for dance, jony j for rap and Ella for vocals, and lastly KUN the representative -there are different classes depending on how well you do so there is Class A,B,C,D, and F, class A being the best In this scene Lisa is watching them dance the choreography for theme song performance that they were all expected to learn
She was not on that show to be cute and don't care about their dancing she was there to make them better she was not supposed to be easy going she was there to find the person who deserves to debut I'm so happy that Lisa was tough and teach them. Like a real mentor and make them realize what they have to improve.
not gone lie (when I watched the show on the app), I couldn't stop laughing after Lisa asked that girl What's wrong with you, you dance wrong, I then rewound it (3×) to the part where Lisa looking at the cameras like I know this bish, just didn't and laughed again
Lisa is there to make the best out of those trainees. She herself stated she can’t be tender because the trainees are meant to learn to stand out in a really short time. She’s a great teacher and a very detailed person so it’s really good that she’s teaching them to pay attention to the things that catch the audiences eyes.
She scolds members that are holding the team back which forces improvement. But she also singles out the best dancer and tells everyone to follow her lead. Setting a perfect example as a dancer is an enormous pressure. Lisa herself knows exactly what that is like.
She's a great mentor just like jhope and I think that them being teachers will make a greater generation :-), and yes please watch the jhope as a mentor one:)
Many people are saying that Lisa seems mean but in reality she’s a very nice and sweet person , Lisa has been a trainee for 5 years and has worked really hard to be a kpop idol so she probably is just being tough on them like how she was taught so they could be successful like her.
Lisa debuted in one of the big 3 entertainment companies in South Korea! You can’t imagine how hard and strict the training was, she has to practice till 2am, even though the dance classes ends at 10pm or something like this! She and BLACKPINK members have to deal with super hard training to become idols! Even though i can understand where you are coming from, its seems like she’s strict but this is will help the girls to improve and to push themselves to achieve their dreams, they should work hard so they don’t have any regrets! :) thank you for the reaction tho

he didn't mentor them though they had already learned the dance he just went by to surprise them and give them a few pointers we haven't actually seen him mentoring trainees before
@@shookbitch123 just search up J-Hope mentoring trainees (even though it's not really mentoring) don't pick the videos that say J-Hope mentoring ?? Vs Bts those are just comparing videos
Lisa trained under a Korean pop training program. That's really how Korean Pop/ Chinese Pop training is. Teachers/trainers are tough.. that's why korea has been producing phenomenal talents just like her..I understand why she's acting that way towards the trainees bc that's the system that molded her and she wants her trainees to experience that also and be good as her.
please react to mentor lisa in a nutshell or her documentary rosé being professionals or 5 mins straight jennie the baddest bitch in kpop jisoo being a crackhead
This is literally how elite performers and sportspeople learn. It's harsh but it's the way it has to be, especially in an industry as competitive as music and entertainment. She's doing her job well, and she's proving how dedicated she is to helping the trainees improve. If I ignored my coach's request to express more during a routine she'd be harsher on me. If I couldn't do a skill, she'd make me do it over and over again as well, plus more strength work, drills and basics to make sure I got it. You don't sign-up for something like this just because it's fun, you do it because you're dedicated and you want it. I can guarantee Lisa went through worse when she trained, she isn't that strict.
This is actually normal for coaches, when you want you’re students to be good then you have to give them tough love. Tbh, she is not even the strictest coach I’ve ever seen.
The show is called Youth With You. It's a Chinese contest show. She's being hard on them in training so that they get it right when it's time to perform.
I was a dancer for 4 years and my teacher was literally the sweetest ever, but when it came to us dancing she was so strict and that’s cause u have to be direct and ready to call out any mistakes even if it means u gotta be “mean”.
Lisa is actually not rude. She’s a mentor for a reason. Iqiyi didn’t get Lisa as a mentor to babysit the trainees, she’s there to mentor them, correct their mistakes and be able to improve. True enough, the trainees like her very much because they understand that Lisa only wants best for her students.
The show is called youth with you and it’s season 2 . Lisa is the dance instructor and she is with the other mentors but they are Chinese . They are trying to make a group of 9 . You can watch the episodes for free on the iQIYI app .
If they call Lisa scary then they never seen the dance mentor of Produce 48
Ikr?
Legit, Beo Yoon Jeong even made me cry
Liyah Lee bruh if it wasn’t Lisa then no one would be saying anything. But because it’s Lisa all these haters start barking like freaking dogs I’m sick of it.

@@AN-mm9dd Oh yea this did help, thank u!💜
Lisa isn't being mean or scary. She's being a good teacher. She's telling these trainees the truth and helping them fix their mistakes. When she told the trainee that she didn't have to be sorry to Lisa but instead be sorry to her friends, I couldn't help but agree with her. Lisa is doing her job, and the longer it takes that trainee to do it right, the longer her friends have to practice. It may sound harsh to people who don't dance, but that's how it goes. Dance is much more than just memorizing the movements. Lisa is training them to be good enough to win. It's what they signed up for.
I totally agree! I feel like people are just being extremely sensitive. It’s called tough love and that’s how you learn and grow
micaela morones exactly and I’m sure she’s speaking from experience
that is really true.
Omg thank you!!!!!!!
I wish more people understood this.

I love her.
Honestly, she reminds me the girl in the movie " Feel The beat " she seems mean but no pain no gain 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️😅😅😅😅
OMG YES
She's a perfectionist
You mean Sofia Carson, right?
Yup
The same vibe fr fr

*Lou in the first time* : I can’t picture Lisa being a though person
*Lou after one minute* : SHE’S MAD
The thing with facial expressions, in dancing and kpop in general, expression and charisma is super important. All those facial expressions idols have when they’re performing is acting and they have to know the choreography so well that they can focus more on those expressions. It’s what brings the viewer in, the performer has to look like they’re enjoying what they’re doing, whether they do or don’t
Prisha Rai // yes 100%, and if they aren’t going to bother smiling or enjoying it then why would they even bother to put themselves through it.

I have a whole new respect for lisa I have only listened to their music and now I see how hard she works and I'm guessing all of black pink
Yeah and not just blackpink but the whole kpop industry
When Lisa was like “I told you to smile and you just ignored my word” blinks made that part into a meme😂they got another idol that wasn’t smiling and made it look like Lisa was talking to them😂😂
Lisa: what's wrong with you?

There is a difference between being tough and being mean. Her intentions were never ill. She always said stuff and did the things that she did to help them. The coach is there to make sure you do things correctly.

Lisa is my bias. Strict mentor. I love her so much. Thanks for reaction.
At least she's not like Abby in dance moms. She was actually a little soft in my opinion.
Or the coach from bring it 😳
Damn...both of them shout at their girls like gorillas 😂
Damn....How can you put Abby and Lisa in the same sentence. The only similarity between them is....they make winners (Hate Abby as much as you like but Jojo, Maddie others would not be if not for Abby)
But thats where the similarity ends. Abby is all one could do wrong, with her biasedness, meltdowns, insecurities etc.
But Lisa girl, at such a young age her priorities are straight. The self awareness she has, the straightforwardness she has without personally attcking them. She is a gold, an absolute gold.

I don't think she's mean at all. Imagine what she went through and what these girls will go through in their career. She's preparing them for a tough career. It's hard but they signed up to be better and Lisa is the perfect mentor for that.
Lisa did all the choreography for Blackpink during your training testing. She's the reason they all dance so damn well. She doesn't fuck around.
She even did the choreography for Sour Candy in The Show!!!!
*wait, but just imagine Hoseok teaching trainee's how to dance, like-*
I don't really know Jhope too much but, I'm imagining he's gonna act similar to what Lisa is doing here.
He already did because he watched trainees dance and he just was smiling but I don't really remember what he said afterword
atinyarmycarat stanner but those trainees already learned fake love perfectly he just went to say hi lmao
atinyarmycarat stanner they already knew the dance, he wasn’t a mentor, he came to visit and give some pointers because they were doing his song. So we haven’t seen him as a mentor yet.
Both of then if they mentor me I will cry for sure
"what's wrong with you, you dance wrong" so savage 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes this is a show called Youth With You, you can watch the series for free with subtitles on the app IQIY. I think this is like the second season.
And lemme tell you lisa wasn't that tough, yes she is really intimidating because it's another side of her but she is not mean :,,)
I took dance class since 6 and I was the worst dancer I thought my teacher was mean back then but she just wanted me to progress and be as the same level than the others.
I love their reaction when Lisa said "What's wrong with you?" Hahahaha 😂😂😂
This show is called “Youth With You” and you can watch it on IQIYI and have subtitles for you. I’ve been watching the show and it’s very good!
Some background for anyone who needs it!
You can watch the full episodes for free with English subtitles on the IQIYI app

-there are mentors for each position in the group, Lisa for dance, jony j for rap and Ella for vocals, and lastly KUN the representative
-there are different classes depending on how well you do so there is Class A,B,C,D, and F, class A being the best
In this scene Lisa is watching them dance the choreography for theme song performance that they were all expected to learn
Im watching it on iQIYI. The show is called “Youth with you” season 2.
She was not on that show to be cute and don't care about their dancing she was there to make them better she was not supposed to be easy going she was there to find the person who deserves to debut I'm so happy that Lisa was tough and teach them. Like a real mentor and make them realize what they have to improve.
OMG HIS OUS'S FACE WHEN LISA SAID "WHATS WRONF WITH YOU?" 🤣🤣🤣😥
not gone lie (when I watched the show on the app), I couldn't stop laughing after Lisa asked that girl What's wrong with you, you dance wrong, I then rewound it (3×) to the part where Lisa looking at the cameras like I know this bish, just didn't and laughed again
@@ELmayberry Omg I watched that like 10 times to make sure Lisa wasnt sick. But during this reaction, I was laughing so hard🤣
@@steam4605 yeah, they had me dying esp Ous
Lisa is there to make the best out of those trainees. She herself stated she can’t be tender because the trainees are meant to learn to stand out in a really short time. She’s a great teacher and a very detailed person so it’s really good that she’s teaching them to pay attention to the things that catch the audiences eyes.
If you notice actually after she got it wrong a lot of times she would do it with them again. She did that like 2 or 3 times so she could get it 😭
She scolds members that are holding the team back which forces improvement.
The app is the whole show with multiple teachers for different skills, but you get to see a bunch of people perform and it’s a good show
Many people are saying that Lisa seems mean but in reality she’s a very nice and sweet person , Lisa has been a trainee for 5 years and has worked really hard to be a kpop idol so she probably is just being tough on them like how she was taught so they could be successful like her.
“You don’t have to be sorry to me you have to be sorry to your friends.” I felt this so much-
This show is “Youth With You” Season 2. There are different mentors for different areas. Lisa is the dance mentor, they also have 3 other mentors for rap, singing, and stage presence. You can easily find the episodes subbed online.
Hey Fo Squad can you react to J-Hope mentoring trainees as well?
yesss... I wanna see their reaction to it
he didn't mentor them though they had already learned the dance he just went by to surprise them and give them a few pointers we haven't actually seen him mentoring trainees before
@@hopeworld5047 well yeah sorry bad choice of words lol thx!
Tay Sings And Games wait where can I watch this?? I haven't seen it and I'm army omg I'm fake!!
@@shookbitch123 just search up J-Hope mentoring trainees (even though it's not really mentoring) don't pick the videos that say J-Hope mentoring ?? Vs Bts those are just comparing videos
I am a folk ballet dancer and my dance teacher always tells us that we smile, the smile is very important because you transmit joy
I’ve been waiting for this reaction 😂😂
Lisa trained under a Korean pop training program. That's really how Korean Pop/ Chinese Pop training is. Teachers/trainers are tough.. that's why korea has been producing phenomenal talents just like her..I understand why she's acting that way towards the trainees bc that's the system that molded her and she wants her trainees to experience that also and be good as her.
please react to
mentor lisa in a nutshell or her documentary
rosé being professionals or 5 mins straight
jennie the baddest bitch in kpop
jisoo being a crackhead
Yes the documentary one is great
This is literally how elite performers and sportspeople learn.
I love this kind of lisa not only just cute!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
She is more strict with herself
Lisa is actually not rude. She’s a mentor for a reason. Iqiyi didn’t get Lisa as a mentor to babysit the trainees, she’s there to mentor them, correct their mistakes and be able to improve. True enough, the trainees like her very much because they understand that Lisa only wants best for her students.
The show is called youth with you and it’s season 2 . Lisa is the dance instructor and she is with the other mentors but they are Chinese . They are trying to make a group of 9 . You can watch the episodes for free on the iQIYI app .
