I always say he's cool in a humble way and very loosey goosey. Seems so comfortable with who he is and so authentic. It's something to strive for I think. The confidence we have in the Lord should calm us in that same way

I get where you're coming from because the church often has this conflicted message of we're awful and wretches yet at the same time we're loved and He died for us. Growing up I used to wonder how that could even be and was often confused about how i should feel, especially about my own worth. I think instead of arguing over those details we need to focus on His heart and original plan for us. God created us to be His family, to be in perfect relationship with Him from the beginning. Then we sinned and fell into spiritual death, separated from God and that perfect relationship with Him since He is so holy and sin cannot be in His presence, and we had taken on that sinful nature. BUT GOD...He made a way to bring us back into His presence and perfect relationship with Him by giving His own life as Jesus for us so we could be holy and righteous and find our identity in Him. Because He is and was the only one who is sinless. So both thoughts are correct - we are sinful wretches not enough on our own BECAUSE of sin BUT He created us to be perfect and enough and by Him we have been restored to that perfect standing though in our fallen sinful world we can only do it with His power and help. Once everything is recreated when He reestablishes His eternal kingdom, merging Heaven and Earth, there will be no more sin and in our new state we will be back to how we were originally designed to be and in perfect relationship with Him the way He intended from the beginning.

We are enough because we are in Christ.
"you have always been enough" means you don't have to do anything in order for God to love you. He loves you as who you are. You don't need to prove anything and what you can do will never be enough to save you. That is why Jesus died on the cross to save you. You don't need to do anything for Him to love you becase you have always been enough. Nothing you can do to make God love you more/less.
Heard this being played in a bookstore in Northern Ireland and broke down in tears. God's Holy Spirit broke through when I was so close to giving up and reminded me, it's not what I have done, but what he did on the cross for me means I can relax and fully trust him no matter my circumstances. Thank you Cory these words really touched my heart and soul. Keep going my talented brother in Christ.

Exactly how Ive been feeling for the last few months now. I'd like to change for the better and I'm wondering if doing everything right in the eyes of the Lord and asking Him all the time if He is please or how can I please Him. I'm just afraid not to have the Lord in my heart but I also know and kept on reminding my self that our Lord God is gracious and super loving and we are save not because of our work but because he choose to save us due to His grace.
