Just a few little tips for anyone who is new to 99 nights in the forest!
If you build a compass and try looking for a kid, on the compass it shows a picture of the kid in the direction hes in!
Whenyou get a hammer, you canmove the kids tents around.
If your getting kids, buy bear traps and place them near the cave. Hit one wolf/bear each then they will start chasing u, and then lead them towards the bear traps. They will die instantley, or they will lose lots of health and then theyre easied to kill.
Lightning rods help to catch lighting and to stop lighting from hitting you.
Always surrounds your base with log walls, shelves or trees to stop the deer and cultists from coming in. Always make a little space for an entrance so you can get in the base. If you want, the entrance can be covered in stalkes and wire to stop cultists from getting in.
If you didnt know, build beds and they will help to increase days.
Stalkes, bear traps and wires are useful to kill animals and cultists.

Tip: on the house you loot at 5:17 you can get the chairs and they are the same as normal once but give scrap
5 logs per chair (which is overpowered)

22:05 this was an important cutsene that could give us a theory about the *THIS GAME IS BASED ON A TRUE STORY* the cutsene started with the deer hidding in the bush trying to head to the campfire and from the Movements that he was doing it looked like he wants t tell us something but he gave up and go back to his hideout which could mean that it was a hint about the research lab which could mean that he was actually a normal human or maybe even a kid that seinticts was doing such bad expirements on him and bc of that he turned into this wendigo and he can no longer trust humans except for his worshipers *cults* but when he saw the player he kinda trusted him and wanted to tell him something about his backstory but thought about it again and thought that he may look if he can trust you even more so next time you get that cutsene see it till the end and don`t skip it

Ok but I don’t care about this cutscene at all since there are no more cutscenes after day 99 at the moment so it’s just a burden to watch it for me now.

Jawadaliali-r05 That's misinformation lmao what actually happened in the story is that 4 kids and their mom were traveling to Columbia to meet their father but the plane crashed in the Brazilian rainforest. The pilot died from the planecrash and the mother passed away while setting up their tents. They stayed in the forest for 40 days and then were found by the police and there were no monsters
To clear some things up
"THIS GAME IS BASED ON A TRUE STORY" It's actually based on two things, The Forest, APC video game (The inspiration of the addition of the deer; you play as a Father looking for his son in a forest with multiple lab experiments gone wrong) and The 2023 Colombian Amazon Crash (In 2023, the Colombian military launched a major rescue effort called Operation Hope. Operation Hope was started to find a small aircraft in the Amazon rainforest that had crashed in May, where all the adults died. However, four children aged 13, 9, 4, and just 11 months survived the crash and were alive for 40 days in the jungle while avoiding predators). It's a hybrid of a fictional game and real-life story, rather instead of being lost stranded kids, you're (Supposedly) the rescuers.
"From the movements that he was doing it looked like he wants t tell us something" No, if wanted to do that, it would have already. It's quite clear the bright light is too much for it to handle.
"he was actually a normal human or maybe even a kid" This totally *could* be the case, but it's more likely it was originally a deer or some kind of spirit effected or manifested, where its Wendigo inspiration comes from (A Wendigo is a spirit with a deer-shaped head and giant human-like stance )
If the deer trusted the player, it would not be actively trying to kill them. The vocals the deer provides indicate it is unable to preform human speech.

I have a method for 99 nights in the forest so basically on the first night its safe to go out at night beacuse the deer does not attack on the first night so there is no point of putting wood in the fire on the first night and i recommend putting as much wood as you can in the grinder

@11wsnowBro, i tested what you said and guess what, it just despawned. I didn't put any wood or coal in the campfire, I didnt lit it, the deer will not attack you on the first night wether you put or dont put any source of fuel in the campfire, but on the second night he will try and attack you

99 nights pro tip: the wooden chairs in house gives 5 wood if put in grinder, and metal chair in medical building give 5 scarps if put in grinder

You should try to get as many torches as possible so your base covers the whole map! (if that’s possible)
You can only place I think 8 or 7 torches but that is a good idea nonetheless.

A tip for anyone who plays the game is that the deer does not attack on the first night however wolfs can still randomly spawn by you when you are outside your fire
Tip: wooden chairs are very common in houses but u shouldnt keave them the count for 4 wood

Tip for a higher chance of alien spawning:you need cyborg or alien class to even have a 1%+ chance for the aliens to spawn

Useful tip - if my tip works then pin me the tip is that you don't need to be afraid on the first day because deer doesn't hit you in first day try 😊

Also koopekool is actually insane for not taking the riot shield. It literally makes all damage decrease by around 75% to 80% (from what I can tell) if you use thorns armor plus riot shield vs the deer it takes like 10 or 11 hits to kill you but thorns armor only vs the deer takes around 3 to 4 hits which is a massive difference so yeah Koop ur crazy bruh-

Scavenger + lumberjack is very good for looting and farming wood if your speed running the game alien + assassin very good for saving the childrens and you would def able to reach 500 days or more with it (as long as your good at it)
Pyromaniac + chef is very good for farming foods or saving the childrens (pyromaniac) and you def not able to not be hungry for the rest of the game

A little tip that can help get more wood is when u go in a house and they have the chairs take them and it gives you around 5 wood per chair. (And if u have a hammer you can take things like the basket ball hoop and wolf head but a lot of ppl don’t know this)

tips for 99 nights:
when u start the game immediatly level up the fire to 3 or 2
then you should get 2 farm plots so that you dont starve
whenever u first save dino kid always use a spear or a gun
