That long queue at KNH plus frequent doctor strikes. Made us approach Dr. Mogire privately and he sorted our then one year old son who had difficulty in walking in 2017. Now, our son is 6 yrs old, walks normally and very strong. May Dr. Mogire live long. He treated but God healed.

tuks is my mentor...he is currently in australia but unfortunately i lost contact....he was a good and instilled a go getter attitude in me while i was young...madze am happy
After hearing this story I am very disappointed by the healthcare practitioners that failed to offer care to the victim. They should have just done their part as healthcare providers and let the police do the rest.
I personally witnessed the level of inhumanity in our medical facilities, imagine nurses and nurse aids treating patients like prisoners yet total strangers helping patient like they get paid for their service. Just sad!
Dr. mogire is a personal friend... he does great in his career and has helped people alot

Inaitwa humerus. Humerus fractures require plating and internal fixation. Conservative management especially on adults doesn't really work.
And the more you delay to carry out the procedure the more the risk of fat embolism that is highly fatal.

The nonsense that is our public hospitals. In nakuru provincial hospital sijui kama ni level 4 or 5. i was once admitted kwa paediatric ward in 2011. my baby was on oxygen and they were 8 babies kwa oxygen. All the other 7 died as I watched, mine survived miraculously. One baby on my left turned yellow before he died. I still remember he was called George Saitoti n only 6 months old.
The one on my right was a beautiful girl her mom told me mtoto anapoop black substance n she was 5 months old. she even showed me the poop. Both babies died by morning of my first day there.
There were no doctors checking in on any of the babies kwa oxygen. ni wewe na mungu wako tu. 2 or 3 babies were dying daily in the whole ward n i believe its because they were not given enough fluids. wanawekea mtoto ako severely dehydrated one drip only and didnt monitor the babies' condition. they only told the mothers, pea mtoto ORS. That thing, babies hate it and the most they can drink is half a cup na anafaa kukunywa kama litre moja in a day.
One night, i was sitting by the doctor's desk watching churchill show on a thursday night. i overheard the doctors discussing wakiwa wamekaa kwa doctor's table, that most of the babies were dying cz of high temperatures and dehydration. I panicked cz i knew my baby was admitted with both issues.
I knew how to check for signs of dehydration in babies. I had seen illustrations kwa textbook ya home science nikiwa prima. u pinch the baby's skin below the belly button and observe how the skin returns to it's normal position. ikirudi haraka mtoto ako sawa, ikirudi pole pole, they are dehydrated.
i told the doc, mtoto wangu bado ako dehydrated. please muongezeni maji. luckily, they listened to me, confirmed my two months baby was still dehydrated. his temperatures had been 38 degrees from sunday to that day which was a thursday. when they put him on another drip, he became lively, his temps dropped and we were discharged next morning.
