Pro tip for any beauty risk-takers at home: Each colour has it's own instructions so make sure you read the instructions TWICE, always wear gloves and if you have long or thick hair then use two box dyes.
@@rieriec.36 Look at the before colour, then click to the finished colour. It's the same. The only difference is that she's had a haircut after the colour that makes it look different. Maybe you need the glasses.
I have never coloured my own hair but I watched this video and tried it and was surprised how easy it can be ..so thank you much for the amazing tips !!
You're a fair dinkum hoot love! Fellow Aussie here to say that you made me lol! Loreal excellence cream colour is the only brand i use now. I'm 48 and have been using that brand for about 5 years and I'll never change. Go girl ❤
No other way! Ends mid lengths wait 10 mins THEN roots otherwise you will get hot roots! The heat from the scalp processes the colour faster. So roots last.
It didn't really come out as level 6 because ur natural hair are level 5 or even 4, so it won't really lighten ut up to level 6. U will need to pre lighten it first to underlying base at the level 7 and apply hair colour 7.1 to get to level 6. Level 6 is really just a tone darker than dark blond.
The colour result that is shown on the right handside video in minute 0.38 (where it says 'after box dye') does not much the colour result at the end of the video. The result at the end of the video is too dark. I prefer the colour of the right handside video in minute 0.38. It suits you better. How did you get that colour?
I used Loreal Excellence 5 Natural Brown. My regrowth went orange and my coloured hair went black. I got hot roots and neither the black or orange suit my skin tone. Does anyone know how to fix it at home?
I liked your hair best in the beginning of the video. You said you had already used box color--could you please share which one? It is imo perfect for your complexion...I find it is too dark after the l'oreal one.
Grazie cara, sei simpaticissima. :) Ciao da Milano - Italia. A.
My roots are black, and the bottom half of my hair is a warm reddish brown from the last time I dyed my hair at a salon.. i want to go light ash brown, any tips on how to get my roots and ends the same even color? I really want to stop going to salons and start dyeing my hair at home, but I'm afraid to im going to botch it 😬
Don't listen to her and don't use box dye. You need to bleach your hair once more,at least to orange. Use 20-30 vol see how much your hair can handle. Than tone it with your desired shade. Box dye will ruin your hair.
Your hair is beautifully coloured and shiny before the box dye! Really good condition, don’t ruin it eh. I’ve ruined mine a bit over colouring. Have used that dye for years and I still slop it on 😂
I have been using that product for at least 20 years. Maybe 30 haha. It makes my hair so shiny and smooth. That conditioner is the best. I would love to buy a big bottle of it. I have very grey hair and it covers it completely
Nah, that's normal. You can't lighten hair using colour / box dye. You're just depositing more colour over the existing (darker) colour. If you have dark brown hair and you want light brown hair, the only ways to get that are to either bleach your hair to lift it a few levels first, then colour over it with the light brown, or possibly choose a box dye that is a LOT lighter than your goal shade. Permanent dyes can lift hair a bit, and it might lift it enough to not make it darker.
@@ladybaabaa3294 thank you for this info especially on this morning, I actually have a noon appt to dye my hair today. But your comment makes total sense to me now, i never understood why my hair wasnt getting lighter. Thank you!
@@rociomanriquez2958 I'm so glad I could help! Believe me, I've only learnt this over MANY years of dyeing over darker colours with lighter shades, and getting "hair dye rage" at the fact my hair kept coming out darker! lol.

It looks the same as before.
There is a very slight difference but you can hardy tell indeed!

It is because her natural hair is too dark

I haven’t box coloured my hair in almost forever, but thanks for this. I think I’ll give it a go now :)
You need to use purple or blue shampoo and a n ash toner in between root touch ups
Great video! Love the enthusiasm of Bianca, you should have her on more often! Would love to hear more of what she has to share. 👍
Thank you for this video, I think we all need this right now! I learnt so much about what the numbers mean on the box too 👍
Not sure if it's just me...but I don't see a difference in color from before to after?
Love the tips! I never section my hair and didn’t know the Vaseline tip. I’ll definitely use these tips next time.
Kat Micallef booo you

the Light Ash brown in this brand covers grays well but it's too DARK.. It looks like medium brown.
I hardly see a difference and why is the thumbnail so different from the actual color in the video?
Thank you for this video! What is your AFTER hair color in the pictures you've shared? Thank you!
Good job. New subscriber....In Italy l'oreal doesn't sell 6.1. Just SIC. I wonder why on earth....
Your hair looked much better before! It looks gray and black at the same time.
Loved this presentation ....feel like you’re my new bff .....& yup would ISO FaceTime date with u in a heartbeat !👸🏻
😂😂 aww thank you!
Wonderful job
I think level 6 is lighter than this. This girl's natural hair colour is about level 5 that is why it came out darkish
My hair is super long so when I colour my hair at home I cover my entire face, ears, neck and chest with Vaseline because I'm messy af 😂
The color looks great on you 👍& you look a bit like sandra bullock ❣️
Love you guys
Looks very dark.
Can I just point out how hot Hannah has been looking lately

Or a 6.1 on the roots depending on how hot they are!
Maybe I need to go to specsavers but it er looks the same except the last presentation is straightened 🙃
Looks no different
It does not look at all like light ash brown. It looks like the before segment. Are you sure that was the correct bottle?
It’s more reddish no? I’m looking for a more ashy brown hair color brand

What?? That was totally pointless. Hair went darker!! Omg lol.
oh god I realllly want the balmain hair barette thing in 0.36 this is everything ! and limited edition and sold out :/
You are so every girl trying to figure this shit out at home. Loved this!
Please do a blonde video!! I've been wanting to dye my hair without all the expense, but I'm scared how it will turn out.
I always loved their Excellence 7.1. Now they don't sell it anymore? But they do sell Preference 7.1?! Is it the same?
I’ve seen Excellence 7.1 in shops. They still make it.
@@littlemisskimmycat78 I buy 6 Dark Blonde now, looks good. Used it before but forgot how it performed. Will update.
😍 I lovw this tutorial!! (Btw.. To get hair dye off the face I use makeup remover or miscellar cleansing water right away)
That's great however I can see no difference in the colour.
Hello 😊 did you dye your hair twice with the loreal paris 6.1? or have used other colors ? Thank you

If your "before" hair color is lighter than the "before" in this video, your "after" dye color should be lighter.
😂😂😂
