"Mega Man: The Sequel Wars is a fan-made homebrew remake of Mega Man 4, 5 and 6 for the Sega Mega Drive, following in the footsteps of the officially released Mega Man: The Wily Wars. It aims to carefully recreate the NES classics while giving them a fresh 16-bit coat of paint and a rearranged soundtrack. It also aims to improve on the foundation of Wily Wars by enhancing both the presentation and gameplay.
Episode Red is the first release of the project, containing the full remake of Mega Man 4. Alongside the original game's content, a slew of new features are added to spice up the experience for returning players.
This is not a rom hack of Wily Wars! It is fully coded from scratch in C using the SGDK library."

This is the best fan-made Sega Genesis-style of Mega Man 4 (Along with 5 and 6), something that the actual sequel of Mega Man: The Wily Wars really deserved.

Looks nice. The only gripe is the mid-air dash. If Roll slides the way she does, OP author should change or add code to have a different animation for sliding mid-air.

This reminds me of Zynk Oxhyde's Roll-chan hacks for the Nes Megaman games...only quite a bit cooler, with this Roll having a face-first slide and her regular attack being a combo with her broom (akin to Zero from Megaman X4-X8)!! I wonder if she can do jump-in attacks like Zero. 🤔🤔🤔

her base kit is pretty much exactly Zero, minus wall clinging, she even has dash (slide) into jump momentum and her broom attacks have no i-frame cooldown.
Unlike Zero, she gets the same 8 boss weapons as Rock, and her charge attack is a buster shot that can be used fully mobile in the air, but stops you briefly if grounded.
