These are 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 I grabbed a pair some months back and I fell in love with them , currently got the andis master taper blade/ w the gamma titanium gold cutter blade on it and the purple double magnetic guards and I love them you can hair the hair being cut as well which is always a plus for keeping the fade low. They offer a lot of value on the dollar for your investment.Thanks for the review.
I brought the stylecraft version of the protege. Which supposed to the same clipper as the alpha. I find that I don’t like them with the andis philty blendz blade swap or the factory taper blade. They just don’t feel powerful enough for that or mod. I did eventually put a fade blade on them and found them be awesome after that. Runs quiet and cut smoothly. This clipper should be only use with a fade blade. That my opinion though. Also I think they need a stronger taper lever..
I got this clipper I don't like either blade it comes with the still blade gets hot super quick but I swapped out my magic clips ceramic stagger tooth blade it no longer gets hot and it's the most powerful cordless clipper I have used now and it's super lighter than the magic clip almost feels cheap but I have dropped them and they hold up so if you plan on buying them throw out both cutting blades it comes with and order a stagger tooth ceramic omfor the magic clip and throw that in there and you will love this clipper

This clipper is going to be my first (other than the wahl designers that I had to buy with the kit). Also one question, what magnetic guards are best to use with these?
Hello! Tell please about blades! Magic clip blades quickly heat up. Also after cooling with blade ice and oiling. I oiling blades every time. I also tested blades is it or not hot to unburn clients hair. What about gamma? Thk
Hello! Thanks for the comment! I find that when I use this clipper the blade does heat up over a long time of use. However, after a quick spray with some cool care on the front and back, the blade is as good as new. I also recommend oiling your clippers with a standard clipper oil at the end of the day after your last client to make sure they are well oiled up for the next day of work! Hope this helps!
In my personal opinion, it feel heavier and more solid than a magic clip. It could just be the fact that it feels more solid that’s throwing off my brain thinking it’s heavier. I never thought of that so thank you for bringing it up :)
They are both rotary clipper motors, however, after using both for an extended period of time, I feel that the Alpha is more powerful than a magic clip.
Babyliss is also a great clipper! It’s a tough question to answer which clipper is the best overall. There are so many out there and everyone has different opinions. The magic clip and the master I have had the longest and still use. However, as of right now my go too for all haircuts is the alpha believe it or not. The ergonomics, and the way it fits in the hand works a lot for me. Hope this helps!

I thought it was lighter than the Magic Clip.. I saw it in another review video, he weighed both of them.

Have you tried out the stretch blade feature?
We have! It gives a little more to the opening of the clipper which can really help with blending!
