Use Oil Pastel & Gouache This Way To Draw An Amazing Snow Scene | Calming Music for Relaxation

A chilly snow storm. With the use of oil pastel, gouache and
colored pencils, I captured the essence of this eerie snowy landscape using a few limited colors. This frozen boulevard, lined up with hibernating trees exudes mystery and excitement. Winter will not last long and spring will soon be upon us. Happy New Year to everyone.

Thanks so much! It's a lot of overlaying with white oil pastel and smudging it with cotton buds to create a softer haze. It's actually a long boring process and have to edit it out to compress the video under 10 minutes.

@@JgesimArtStation Ugh, yeah, I know about long boring sections and even longer fights with editing. But your art is great and your passion seems strong. My suggestion is to work social media outside of YT to direct traffic here because it's pretty hard to succeed if you're only depending on YT to push your art. (Words of experience!) 🤗

Thank you so much 😀. The fuzzy whites are mostly oil pastels that have been smudged over the drawing for a hazy finish. The whitest whites are opaque gouache. . Glad you liked it.

Very nice drawing of winterscape, I cannot imagine you can create this ambiance by using oil pastels. I learn new tip from you by using mixed media to touch up and create more details on the oil pastels background. Nice drawing!

Thank you so much 😀. The problem with oil pastel is the difficulty to achieve satisfactory details with it because its too soft. You have to use other medium such as colored pencils to compliment it.
