It's kind of sad how this tank and the alpha damage used to be unique for the Russian 268 line. Now, tier 8 heavy tanks can do this, and some even more. (Skoda can still do 900 plus in 3.5 seconds, utter madness.)
As you said many heavies have that alpha dmg but you didn't take into account the fact that heavies have a turret, some have turbos (only one actually can hit for 880 with a turbo but let's forget about it cuz isu owner will get a heart attack...), some have autoloaders, most of them nowadays have decent mobility, depression...
Meanwhile ISU has only one true thing : the penetration value... Wait nevermind that, cuz stupid Strv/Udes BS tanks have the same pen with better camo/mobility/gun statistics and trollish armor on top of that. ISU is definitely a tank who could get one tier lower and would still be decent at best...

As a big gun lover this tank is a blast. Super accurate for 750 alpha, aim for center mass not insane weakspots at 300m. You play it for fun and make credits at the same time. 10:35 exactly
As a big gun lover, i have more fun playing with the SU 152 instead of the ISU 152 or ISU 152K.
You're one tier lower, and you can still wield the stock gun which does 750 alpha also, and if you shoot gold you can f*ck up everything.
ISU and ISU K are horrible, they are bigger feel sluggishers and have to fight scarier tanks.
With the SU, you can go hunt! you can hide behind armored tanks, and then shotgun tier 7 heavy tanks, and then get back to hiding.
with the isu you cant really do that, because the enemies are tankier and you're too slow to react to anything imho

This tank for me is like the FV4005. When it works, I am so happy and having fun. But when it doesn't work....yeah.. so if people like roller coasters, this tank is perfect!
That is it. We can have some fun when it works, ( I got already one mark of excellence) but many times is so frustrating to play with it.

If you want to enjoy the BL10 you won't have to pay. Just grind the Object 704 and have a tank where the gun actually works. Another tip is the RHM Borsig with the 15cm gun. That thing is quite accurate in comparison AND has a turret, the only problem there is the VERY low shell velocity which requires some practice.
Shame that the BL 10 left the normal ISU...

Yep 704 is one of the best T9 TD's, bit more flexible and armor can work now and again.

@@lordjohnny2026 well with the BL10 on a tier 8 TD you sometimes met tier 6 tanks and were quite regelarly able to one-shot tanks. Also armour is less strong at tier 8 versus tier 9 and 10, so you were a lot more consistant. On the contrary you had less armour then the Obj. 704 and also bad view range.
Of all my tanks, and I have a LOT of them, 152K is probably the most fun, playing with it is so stress free, you dont care about hitting something, you dont care about winning, you dont care about stats ... you just roll & troll & go BOOM ! :D
I just bought the ISU 152 after 10 years. Wish I had got this tank a long time ago. Still at least I can do 176 OP damage back to them now and feel absolute joy in doing so.
Loved the original ISU-152 when it had the BL10. This one works great when you hit your shots -- but I find it frequently frustrating.
My highest average damage tier 8 tank, all your equipment has to be accuracy/handling orientated, aiming, vents and rotation device, this was a super easy 3 mark, I loved it, the tech tree one is better though, much better mobility but this thing makes serious credits.
I only have one thing to say about this tank: "critical hit!"

the problem with this tank is that is very VERY ! dependant on situations. This tank needs a very good team that coordonates with you putting the enemy in situations were they side sideways towards you. it has bad gun handling and shell velocity. if you just play random maps, this tank is a big pain. if you have a team that puts the enemy in situations for you to shoot, you will be the carry of that whole team. Huge alpha dmg with awesome penetration, even against tier 10 tanks. So it's a tank for teams not for random matchmaking. think about bonds shop Foch or KV2 . If you are good a playing agressive and have good skill at going medium range and fight, like 100-150 meters, than buy it. If you are an average player that likes Leopard, E50M, Su130 and other precise gun tanks, leave this in the shop. I own it and i have an average of 2k dmg per game. thats about 3 shots. i have games with 700 dmg and games with 4000+ in equal proportions . i bought this and Caliban cause i like to play for laughs sometimes, and both tanks are very good for having a laugh and having fun dealing big dick damage. but unless you have a high quality platoon, don't touch both those tanks :).

Skill, you are crazy. ISU-152K is one of my favourite TD. It has troll gun, but sometimes that troll gun can hit impossible and can do impossible things. And i like playing 152K against X tier.
I double that. I made a hulldown kranwagn cry the other day without gold ammo. Then the next 5 games sucked but wasn’t negative on the credits 😂. It is very nice for campaign missions also.
Totally agree! This tank is a money maker for slackers. Excelent penetration and damage for normal shells of which you use very few, anyway. If you improve accuracy and cammo (which is very good, anyway), you get an excellent tank. Is a very slooooooow tank, significant reload time, yet, most of the time you hit at least 4 shells. I have 49.04% win rate generally and 51.62% with this tank.

Tbh, I love ISU-152k, it is so satisfying when you hit with that big alpha. Whenever I have a bad day, I play with this tank and I am feeling better after.

I did a blind shot in one game as soon as I loaded the first shell and did that to an IS to many 2s;. Got a few lols from team m8s.
For me this tank is worth it. I think part of the problem is that you are trying to snipe with a tank that has really poor accuracy to begin with. I play this as a heavy support tank even in Tier X games and I average 3k dmg. Not perfect but I make a good impact and punish enemies when they peek to attack our heavies. Holding angles and never going in first is a huge part of this tank. And when I do try to snipe with the tank I miss pretty often like what you said. But I understand it doesn't work for everyone that way. Now for sniper TDs like the Skorpion of course you don't play as support heavy it is meant to snipe and has to accuracy to do so.
Really love this vehicle. Friend got it for me and I absolutely cherish it. Sure the gun can be a bit derpy, BUT the chance to smack enemies for 750 with really nice penetration is just too much fun. I usually run with Gun Rammer, Improved Rotation and either Aiming Unit or Bounty upgraded vents. It's not a sniper and people get confused by this sometimes. It's a support TD, if you're within 150 meters you're playing very well, if you're outside of 150 meters you're going to have a bad day.

Well I got it from Christmas boxes 2 years ago and I enjoy it, however in 3 of 4 games (mostly fast games) I don't do much of a damage but there are games when you snap shot everyone on the left, on the right and you end up with Top Gun medal :D every time when you hit lucky shot 10:30 is the reaction you are getting.
I personally like playing with Isu k from time to time but my set up isnt the most competitive one, i just feel like its the most reliable for me
Setup: 1: Rammer, Rotation mechanism, Bounty aiming
2: Gun laying drive, Rotation mechanism , Bounty aiming
1. Set up for smaller maps, 2 one for bigger sniping maps to get the shot out quicker in sacrifice for dpm
Time stamp 5:10 This game play is exactly why I detest TD's and the lack of the ability to use them in a real support position. Just pick a spot and wait for the op for to drive in front of your gun when half your team has already been killed.
For some reason you're very good at blind firing light tanks with big guns on Lakeville. Always love to see it
IDK about you guy but i enjoy playing this tank and also tech tree version.😉 Mostly because of the big alpha damage, can give ammo rack and its fun to blind shot. And in good match up with tier 10 this tank can easily dealt 5k damage.
I have 3 marked both of the ISUs. The 3rd mark was painful though.😂
I have never played ISU 152k but I spent a lot of time with Obj. 704 which supposedly has the same gun. It was different with accuracy, but overall I remember this vehicle well. The funny thing is that WG in his movie "How to Play ISU 152k" claims that it is a rather close-range vehicle. I have no idea how you can play it close without armor.

Personally I found that playing close up is better overall. You need some team players with you to help out and trade shots. If you are lucky to pen then hopefully with help you can take them out quick. Wait in a street and ambush in towns, once they see the tank in front of them light up they back off.. normally. I agree it's not always easy and do a lot of zero or one shot but it's worth it for the times when it all comes together.
@@venataciamoon2789 It must be quite difficult, the tank is not flexible enough, it lacks turret, armor and maneuverability. It's hard for me to imagine fighting closely with autoloaders or something like BZ, a new Premium tank.
@@TheGrandexeno When I decided on 268, I knew that it would not bounce. From time to time, something will bounce back with a bit of luck. I like the camo values, the cannon is quite pleasant for this caliber and mobility.
@@andriucha356 Your are correct, it is difficult. I've only been playing this ISU 152 for a week if that and before this video I was already asking myself "what the best way to play it" and I noticed fighting close up got me more damage plus i managed 1 mark in less than a week. Of course it depends on the map and you're right... auto loaders are bad news for you. It is tricky indeed.

In this tank i had many games waiting for my Team to lose, so i can get some damage in the end (like the first game of this Video).
What i figured out with the ammunition:
If you want to snipe, shoot the Apcr.
It has better Shell Velocity and way better gun ark.
Also, blind Shooting with this Tank is more difficult than you think. If you want to blind shoot some bushes, but you aim 'into air', then load apcr. The AP shell is flying like someone throwing its Trash over the fence.
It just doesnt feel good for blind Shooting. After realising this and starting to play in this way, my MoE peeked at 92% (before i only scratched around 80-84%).
All in all, i had some fun in this tank allthough i dislike Tanks without a turret.
Had this TD for some tile and I agree its not a reliable performer
I am not a good player just an old guy that still likes this game, got it because I liked the old ISU 152 back in the day.
After 150 games I am at 46% in it maybe field mods will help a little but right now It doesnt get played very often.
Honestly, i got this tank when it came out, from loot boxes. It was one of my first Premium tanks, and i played 360 battles. It was well….fun? 51% win ratio is not bad, and if you have patience to wait for a shot you will do fine, and sometimes if you learn how to, you can go harras heavies with it closeup….but it’s definitely not for most people

When I play a derp tank I'll miss every shot but when someone else plays it he fuckn snap shots me across the map without asking my name...
I got this TD for a half price deal and had to jump on it. Now im playing console and have my commander skill helping, gun and camo and I must say I like it a lot. Just dont get spotted and you slap the tanks as they try to push your team

Try on it gunrammor, bino and lownois exhaustion system. You have cammo, viewrange, you can bé sneaky and still spot for yourself. IT Works pretty ood for me
It doesn't have the armor of the TS5 or the Turtle but the gun can't be trusted either, so you have to be a support td and wait for opportunities to show up. In the old 7 vs 7 battles this td was scary. It still is, the tech tree variant has better gun handling but less penetration but with just 3-4 shots you have huge impact in the game. The versatility of the SU-130PM is miles better than with this tank but this tank can ammorack tier X heavies with its huge penetration. If you don't have premium soviet tds then this thing might work and it seems to be on offer these days for 32€ which isn't that expensive compared to other tanks.
In terms of some tanks being super innacurate despite what their stats say, this is not one of those tanks. The only issue is how sluggish this tank is when trying to redeploy to another sniping location, and also the fact that when you do end up bouncing a shell, it takes forever to reload and react to tanks pushing you.
I’d argue that any stationary tank is outside the current 15-2 meta.
You can’t push to chase damage, or if you’re having a good defensive / damage game it’s probably a loss.
WG just needs to add rocket boosters to every tank.
I got this tank a while back, think it was lootbox or something. It's a personal favourite because I enjoy the derp guns in game. I have had multiple 0 damage games though because the thing has the mobility of a brick but when the gun hits, it hits. It's the patient player's tank, everything takes time. So long as you remember that, you can enjoy yourself in this tank. If you go in chasing damage or.kills, it will not treat you well
I got it for xmas a year or 2 ago and it was hard in the beginning, but after doing mods and tweaking the right equipment, I love this tank. It all depends on playstyle. As long as you can find a good hidden spot, and don't try to push, this tank is awesome.
Skill, you are absolutely correct about this tank - the ISU 152 with the 260 gun has at least twice the accuracy and better penn then this 286 penn gun with standard or gold ammo on the 152K and std on the 152 - I had the ISU 152 around eight years ago; I think it was my first tier VIII and I loved it until they took the top gun away - about six months after WG screwed me they put this POS in the game - I refused to buy it back since it was the same tank I spent a lot of hours grinding for - I received it in the loot box's I think two years ago after the first 75 box's gave me shit and the wife told me to buy 75 more and I received all the tanks with them - from the first battle I knew this was not my old ISU 152 - I have had as many as five or more battles in a row where every shot bounced or just refused to hit the target - I have a 5 skill crew from the 152 I move back and forth all the time - the 152K requires gold to get at least a 30% to 40% penn - Std ammo gives you 10-20% on a good day - and do not waste the credits trying to shoot the side of light tanks for there is only a 5% chance to do dmg on them - if you can do more than 2 penns a battle you are having a great game - also the low rolls around 600 dmg is common, high rolls are rare -
This tank is great for one reason. I can watch netflix or youtube ect on my second monitor while camping in the bushes or redline and play without much effort and still make good credits if you hit 1 or 2 shots.
tbh i know you maybe wont agree with me but i was looking soo much years for a tank destroeyr with huge alpha damage and after i got this tank no matter if i win or i loose i have mostly fun with it and some cheeky cheeky shots and ram shots with it so for me this tank is super insane like a sniper and in the back but not in a front line

Nah, the ISU-152K is not THAT bad. It does have its worse moments, but also can work very well - especially if one does not treat it purely as "sniper schnitzel" XD That alpha can truly bring smile to one's face. The key though is to focus on gun handling when installing modules. PS. That blind shot @10:30 XD XD XD
I got it from the xmas crates, and at first, i didn't like it. I played some battles yesterday, and this tank treated me very well. I was hitting more shots with ISU that with my Skorpion.
Almost every game was between 3-5k dmg, and i had even one game with 8 kills.
I think i fell in love with this tank now.
Bz-176 is the memster weapon of choice now if you want td that plays like this one i think the tier 7 is the better choice. The lower tier have far less armor and its easyer to have good games with less armored tanks with less experienced drivers driving around.
When I have an update waiting to be updated in the background, either GFX or OS (windows), the RNG acts like it hates me so wild.
Agree with everything Skill said about this tank, but I still love it. Just don't depend on this tank to boost your stats in any meaningful way as it is just too wildly inconsistent for that.

I use increased Grouser, improved rotational mechanism and turbo on this tank destroyer because it really lacks mobility in current meta...

It used to be awesome. Playing it now, if you aren't fully aimed at point-blank range, the shell disappears. This tank should be the counter to BZ.
I've had this TD from when it first came out. It can easily disappoint with near misses and then not so near misses. 500% crew with all field mods and it's still a bit of a slug. I think I only keep this TD as I assigned Arnie as the commander (before the Iron Arnie came out). Don't play it that much as the BZ176 has got my attention. Won't sell it though.
2nd battle pinpoint accuracy for Skill then 3rd battle levelled it all up!!!
Have 2 years playng the 152k, this tank and i have Maxed his stats and get all the Marks, after all this time i can say.
This is tank is VERY frustrating, even with .33 dispersion you miss/bounce a lot of shots.
Patience is key in this tank
If you flank is close to lose leave your team asap.
The Mobility is bad so think about your next move with more time.
Forget about sniping with more than .35 dispersion.
If you got Rushed and your team falls apart fast, give up ur gonna die next because u cant move or aim fast, or at last shot 1 time and die.
Look for Bushes and ambush positions with mora time of anticipation.
If your team yells about u to move to some place, ignore them and turn the chat off.

in a 10/9/8 typical USC match, this lasts about 20 seconds after firing.
I really like the ISU 152 k, but oh is it frustrating, Skill sums it up perfectly, the BL10a can be deadly accurate even at long range, on the other hand you can have a tank sat right in front of you and it will miss! It is a challenge to play, but when its working its great, it is a very good money maker, one of the reasons I play it a lot.

It is very good for making money because it has huge penetration for tier 8,you dont even need much gold but gun can be trolish sometimes
Also bad thing is if your team is winning you cannot make push with it,it is not so fast and has 0 armor

Having just grinded BZ-166 that gun handling and accuracy looked like perfect 10...
I love this tank with all my heart. Close to 3rd mark and i play it with improved aiming, bounty turbo and rammer. The playstyle is abit unusual but i enjoy it to the maximum
It's a very good credit maker, land one shot and you're at minimum breaking even. As far as accuracy is concerned, I always found that its fairly reliable if you don't rush it, let the damage come to you and you'll be ok. It's not laser accurate but it's pen is good enough to compensate most of the time. I like it so much more than the T103.
Sure it's not an ultra competitive tank but it can be incredibly fun!
The 3rd game is on the map swamp but they remade it and changed the name
I have this tank and let me tell you. I love barrels that shoot 750 or higher. But this tank, unfortunately, for 10 battles will give you 3 battles of joy, 4 battles of frustration and the last 3 battles are literally a tragedy. I've had matches where I shot 0 or 1 when I should have had 8-11 shots on target. Incredibly frustrating tank when you stand still and shoot a tank that is AFK and miss 3x !!!

last year or 2 years ago(I don't remember i won the isu152k from the lootboxes)... played 5 games and the first vehicle caravan exchange I traded it for wz 120-1 ft
I got it in the christmas boxes and completly forgot about it^^ I grinded the T-8-10 of the line passively with random Blueprint rewards.
I love ISU K from the bottom of my heart. I have better stats in this tank than in Scorp G. Best thing is you do not need to shoot gold 90% of the time. But it is not all the time right time to play this tank. You need to be very calm that moment. Or when you are loosing one battle after another, take this tank. Enemies will come and you can do 2-3 shots every battle which brings you to good score already. Also what is important for me is to have - gun rammer, improved aiming and binos. A lot of time I am ending alone, or at least holding flanks close to alone and full viewrange is a must.
I have the ISU 152K and I have 3 marked it too. It is somewhat unreliable, but really it can't be played as a TD that can snipe cupolas and weakspots. The ISU needs big targets, thats a fact of the gun it has - that can't be helped. But if you play it with that in mind, it is not a bad tank. It is unreliable but not bad.
This tank was really good back in the day when ISU still had the BL-10 (now on this vehicle)

I got this tank in loot boxes a couple years ago. Needless to say, the next trade-in event that came around saw it out of my garage.
Love this, troll-wagon, great fun, makes decent credits, does’t care about armour, BOOM in the face for 700, sets lightly armoured on fire……..troll and roll
Even as his team is collapsing, Skill seems to still do over 3k combined lol. I'm lucky if I can get 300 combined with teams like that...
The tank is not really that good. But somehow fun. It craps on you almost all the time. But then there are these nice BOOM moments. This tank is the WoT experience condensed into one single vehicle. :D
I got this tank from loot boxes a while ago, played my first game and got Ace tanker while doing 2,8k dmg and 4 kills on a lost game so if you want to get easy Ace tankers buy it other than that the gun is insanely trollish and i don't even remember the last time i played it

I got it from the Christmas box 2 years ago or so... Not a bad vehicle, not a particularly good one... if 2 hits/ 1.5k damage per battle is enough for you, then it's not bad. Turns slowly... and the accuracy...
Isu-152k is so fun, the rush of dopamine when you either land a high rolling hit, or one shot something is unmatched

The tank is fun when you are hitting the shots but it can be frustrating aswell.
I think they should improve the acccuracy of the gun just a lil bit :)
I got it from the christmas boxes and the tank is not bad but not overwhelming... I like the techtree version more but the K version has a higher credit incoming so it is ok
Played the "old" ISU 152 with the "finger of god" alot. ISU 152K plays absolutely comparable. So the sometimes like a diva behaving gun is nothing new. All in all on Obj 704 gun handling is a little more pleasant. But getting a smile when everything is working is priceless. 😁

ISU-152 tech tree has a nightmare gun, trollish to the Nth degree!! The SU-152 is one of my favorite tanks, but they are nothing alike.
I got it from the loot boxes in 2020, and I have my second top damage with it but also games where I can't hit a single shot. So yeah, if your shots hit, you can make huge money, but that's 1 out of 5 games and those 4 will make you very very angry

I ground through the original ISU, and obviously got hit right in the back of the head by nostalgia when this was released. 7 skill crew with decent equipment modules and yeah....

I believe this tank is not broken - it is balanced. The play style is to sit in ambush and not to push - dissimilar to how one might play with the tech tree isu
TDs are my favorite type of tanks. But this TD is so horrible that i traded it for Panther 8,8. I HATE IT.

@@mc_sim panther 88 is garbage. It's a 1 trick pony, as the _only_ thing it has is dpm. Gun handling, penetration, and mobility are so much worse than the panther 2 that it just feels out of place in the game. If you're after a German tank with dpm just get the kpz 07 or whatever it's called. I have both and I only ever play the panther 88 when I've forgotten how embarrassing it is
I dont know if im special or im just wierd but i love ISU-152, i allmost everytime connect my shots and i love the big alpha in tier 8.
I bought it awhile ago and I love it. It is so fun to come home after a long day and just hit a bz in the face for 750 damage
Ironically I love isu152k. I manage to do a lot of crédits and it can Pen everything. It needs a good crew and bounty all .
still more reiable than my foch 155's gun. that thing bounces on everything.
I had such a bad time to get 3 mark… that when i achieved the 3 mark i dismounted every single equipment to never put again and play with this tank
I almost have every premium tank destroyer (apart from the tier 3 french tank, the Turtle I and the 114 SP2) and I love most of them.
ISU152K is different though. There are so many times where I play with that tank and get my mood destroyed afterwards.
The problems I have with it:
- Gun is mostly inaccurate
- No gun depression at all
- Very slow compared to other td's
- Long reload time
- No armor
Every time I give this tank another chance to maybe get some good games with it but mostly it just doesn't work for
me.
No you are correct Sir skill! I purchased this tank a long time back and have never had a good game in it, so I never play it. I would stay away and you can have way better games in the tech tree tier 7 152mm TD than this tier 8 Premium TD
Never spend money on this tank unless you are wanting to mark it, but even then i wouldn't suggest to spend on it. I got one for "free" from christmas lootboxes and it's one of the biggest dissapointment tank i own. The "best" feature of the tank is supposed to be the gun, but it's just pure fustration 95% of the time plus they charge you money for something that the tech tree counterpart had in the past... Accuracy is troll (way more time than it's not) coupled with really long aim/reload time and the dispersion is bad too so you have to wait for the full aiming time almost all time (like 3-4 sec). The gun arc is really small too, gun depression and armor is nonexistent, mobility decent. It has really low amount of hit points for what it's supposed to do, it would be way better if it had 1400-1500 hp. When it's works it can be fun, but that's only happening every 10-20 games.

When i first got this Vehicle i hated it ive had it for ages, i think i got it out of some boxes or something but playing it since i love it, its a troll cannon it can either troll you or the enemy ,it doesn't care about MM and is my Third fav TD Behind CDA 105 at number 1 and Skorp G at 2.
Any tank can troll you if RNG hates you so this tank isnt nearly as bad, if RNG is not treating you that day you just have to not play it, theres alot of tanks like that i find
Just today i aquired this vehicle, while yes you do end up missing like 9/10 shots but man will you laugh like a maniac when you slap someone in the face ever once in awhile. I just take it out for a spin a few times when i dont feel like playing that seriously and just slap people for most of their hp
This Does nice damage , but its a royal pain in the A%^ to Aim
