I'd say the print quality is so little in comparison when you didn't even use the same resin in both machines but the price and speed point to the Halot sky being the far better machine both for the hobby guy and the small manufacturing company. Guess which one I intend to buy.
The Halot series has been updated to use Lychee slicer as well, and with that update the slicer can set exposure and other settings. You can still adjust the settings on the printer too. Also, the Halot Sky can keep sliced files on the printer itself, I saw another reviewer go over that. For the price I'm probably going for the Halot Sky, also to get away from the Chitu system.
Hearing they updated to use Lychee actually makes me quite happy. That wasn't the case with ours yet. I will have to have another look at printing on the Halot with Lychee! Our Halot kept forgetting its old files whenever a new one was uploaded and I couldn't scroll through previous files. Maybe our machine is bad or there has been a firmware update to fix this. I checked for firmware updates before making the video and there were none at the time. For this as well I will have to take another look! :) In the end the question is often are you looking for a tool that just works or a hobby that you spend some more time on tinkering and tweaking. The Shining is quite far into the "tool" section while the Halot is somewhere in between. If that suits your needs, it's a great printer to use at a good price. So glad you mentioned this info I was loosing hope with Halot with their silly slicing on the machine BS. Now Halot is under 800euros it's a great deal.
Right now we are still printing the same set of 3 samples. After set two the Halot-Sky already had problems. AccuFab keeps on printing and printing. I will add a short video and share the link. For real production or unexperienced users the AccuFab is the better one, but that was expected. If you just compare prices ans specs, the Halot-Sky more interesting for most customers.

There is nothing that can justify 2000€ difference in the price. Of course the shining must be the better one with that premium price.
