    Surprised Tekno went with 12mm hexes. Actually surprised by this vehicle entirely, to be honest.
    My original MT410 is a perfect size imo. Not full on 8th scale MT size but larger and more fun (imo) than the 10th scale MT’s.
    Appreciate the fast turnaround on this video! Been anxious to see this one :)

    I have the 1st MT410 and Its a beast. I have a tp power 4060 with mamba max 6s. I have alot of M2C upgradres on it with stock chassis. I love it. Had it for about 6 yrs now. Its runs 70mph on 5s

    Heck yes! Thanks for putting this up. I really wish it had lasted longer so I could see it when the sun came up. You have to record another run soon. I do love the idea of this truck and you should upgrade what you need “with parts list” to get it on 4s asap, cuz let’s be honest that’s what it is competing against and what most of us will be doing. Thanks boss. Keep it up!

    • @RUZTY1311

      It'll be able to handle 4s. My DB pro was on 4s and I ran 12mm hexes on that for a LONG time and never stripped a wheel out. Its about throttle control and not giving it full throttle from a stand still. If things are already rotating, theres no torque that would be able to strip hexes 😊

    Sad to see the plastic, 12mm hexes etc. they've just cheaped out on parts to force us to upgrade and I think they've let down the Tekno name. In the UK, with some extras this will be £550-600 as a roller which isn't good, which is a shame as I love my ET48 and MT410 and was looking forward to one of these for Christmas. I'll be spending my money elsewhere now though.

      In light of the new Kraton EXB, the 2.0 is a very tough pill to swallow, especially given the size downgrade. I like buying kits on principle, but the value proposition is questionable now. The lack of a tower to tower brace out of the box is a bit insulting too.

    • @RUZTY1311
      @RUZTY1311 11 месяцев назад +1

      @hashimrahman51 Not a single Tekno kit comes with a Tower to tower brace. Also, this isn't an "upgrade" to the MT410 1.0. Its a completely different truck. True to tenth scale whereas the 1.0 is basically 8th. I have both and love them differently 👍

    Does anyone know how well Tekno supports old discontinued models with replacement parts? I was about the pull the trigger on the older 410 model just to find its discontinued and this 2.0 is now the current model with incompatible parts. If they’ll have parts for the old model available for 5+ years I’ll buy a used older model.
    The little 1/10 stampede size trucks just don’t have the hang time of the bigger 1/8 size, nor the ability to carry itself over more grassy terrain or have strong torque rotation control in the air. More a surface area, weight distribution and momentum thing than a power or traction thing. For bashing I find the bigger trucks are just so much more fun and controllable.

      Yeah. I think the Same. Drove a few Times with RC Friends which got the mt410. Nice Truck, Not perfect but smooth Like Butter. That new V2 ist Like the sc. Smaler Drive axles, shorter Dampers. Don't Look smooth at landing anymore. For about 250€ OK, gut Not for over 400. If they Made IT smaler but beefy - OK. But this v2 .... Meh

    • @hashimrahman51
      @hashimrahman51 11 месяцев назад

      It does drive really well, but it’s basically competing with the Rival MT10 now in terms of scale. It’s very tough to swallow especially in light of the new Kraton EXB which is specced to the gills with premium parts and materials and would likely cost the same or a bit less than the 2.0 with good electronics.

    Also, nowhere in the manual does Tekno state that you need a low-profile servo. I had my servo installed like you, only then to realize the angle of the steering link is not parallel. That irritated me. If you use a different servo horn, you will need a much smaller spacer compared to the one that you are using. The part number is AGFRC HSS16AG. I'm using a Promodeler DS415BLHV. With that servo (which is not low-profile), I'm using a much smaller spacer. Let me know if you want me to upload pics to the Arrma forum.

    The original mt410 was really 1/8th scale as it used all 1/8th scale parts. The smooth brains in the comments dont seem to realise this. The new truck is a 1/10th scale and the mt48 will be the 1/8th scale version to replace the old mt410.

      With good electronics, tires, body, paint I would guess you could easily be at $700-800 total with the 2.0. It’s just too much $$$ for such a small scale RC. This is especially apparent in light of the new Kraton EXB, which is loaded with premium parts. A rival MT10 can be had for $330. Literally less than half the price of the 2.0!

      @RUZTY1311 11 месяцев назад

      @williamperri3437 I dont think Tekno will ever make an RTR. They have cross compatibility between almost every one of their rigs, and doing an RTR would make none of it cross compatible OR it would be just as expensive. I also think becuase they arent a giant RC company, that they dont have the backbone and staff to be putting together mass RTRs for the public

    I feel like this was a disingenuous release, preying on the reputation of the well established 1.0 which upon release cost the same and this is nothing like that. I was hoping to pick up another 1.0 at some point but they jacked the price back up (co-incidentally at the time of this release) everywhere so no go for me. This does not feel like a $400.00+ kit, and if they release an 1/8 scale version that is the size of the 1.0 I am sure it will be more than $700.00 soooo time to look elsewhere when my original wears out.
