  • I am so very excited to finally release my Timeless Project!! 🙂 This project has brought me so many adventures during the making and I’ve really enjoyed putting this one together. All though this video is only 3 minutes long it has taken over a year to make.
Like the Perth video I’ve made, this video starts off in daylight in a peaceful setting before springing its viewers into the night with more dramatic, magical and very active skies full of stars.
There were a number of challenges shooting this project with different tools and devices, (on scene & post production) then making all blend seamlessly into the final video. Another challenge was finding the perfect nights to do the shoots. This involved moon positioning and illumination percentage, Milky Way tracking locations along with set and rise times & cloud cover. Then there’s finding a good composition at night to shoot along with the stars.
For every 7 seconds of night scene you see in the video is around 6-7 hours work, (3 hours shooting and 3-4 hours post production.) This brings me to a fun fact I’d also like to share: I wanted to challenge myself to stay perfectly still in two compositions while the camera snapped the hyper-lapse. My total posing still times were 3 hours. (1 hour at the Pinnacles and two hours at Lake Argyle) In doing this I’ve really enjoyed the peace while observing the wonderful night sky views WA has to offer.
    The locations of where this project was filmed at;
    Albany
    Carnarvon
Kununurra - Most of the video was filmed here.
    North Perth - 1.5 seconds
    The Pinnacles
    Denmark
    Lesmurdie Falls
    Canning Dam
    Broome
    Lake Argyle
Some information also for my fellow photographers out there.
The night scenes were shot on a canon 5D Mark IV with a Samyang fish eye lense.
All night scenes were shot with the same settings.
    F2.8
30 second exposures. Taken on the minute every minute
ISO 3200 - Very forgiving with noise on the Canon 5D Mark IV.

All photos were ran through Lightroom for sharpening, clarity adjustments and highlight and shadow fine tuning.
Again Please feel free to share and I hope you all enjoy this video as much as I did bringing it together.
    Regards,
    Daniel Delgado Creative Snaps.
