Playing a 1k army with my Depth Guard vs Eldar tomorrow..... Listened to this multiple times because I haven't faced them yet this edition and I just know this guy is going to pull out all the stops 🤣🤣🤣
Update: Game was interesting, guy I played against was actually just using what models he had from like 8th edition so 2 squads of wraith guard, 2 of wraithblades (?) And a wraith lord thing with 2 rezzing seers. Owie tough to kill ANYTHING but ignored the rezzing units, focused down the others and actually killed the Lord with nothing but grenades 🤣🤣🤣 Major help with this video!
Oh! I've seen comments turned off a lot and wanted to ask! As a new DG player, can you explain the Bio P's grenade ability? I tried to use a double grenade on a single enemy unit (1CP, then the 0CP Bio P, then continue with normal shooting) and we both reread the ability. It read as "0CP, once a game, on a different unit that has not been grenades this phase." Can you enlighten us on how it works and why, with knowing that GW does exclusive rules? Can I grenade the same into twice in on shooting phase by a singular Marines unit?
One of buddies just started playing his eldar and this video helped understand these cheeky bastards. Deathguard squeaked out a win. We will survive lol
LOVE the video. Also really appreciate the new microphone. Realize that the mic works well. It picks up a lot of sounds. Specifically the sound of you swallowing or drinking. Try moving away from the mic for those things. Love the videos thanks for all the amazing DG content.
I have only ever played my close friend in 40K but since 10th I know Eldar have been at the top of the tournament scene. After watching this video I can now see why. Great content as always. Can’t wait to see when you break down the tau which is who my friend uses!
Playing my first ever tournament next weekend so this has come in just the nick of time. Elder are one of the ones I’m dreading meeting. Also seriously thinking of running 2 Brigands instead of Morty as everyone seems to be spamming vehicles at the moment.
Good luck and go for it! Most of the codex is in great shape so feel free to test diffrent stuff. For me it helps to write down some thoughts during/after the games to the go through in peace back home and see if i like a specific choice or nah
You shouldn't be able to take The Yncarne, unless an Ynnari list, and both Yvraine and the Visarch are present. Being able to take Drukhari should be the actual detachment bonus for Ynnari armies.
One more thing. Just so I am clear, when you talk about killing the Yncarne by grenading him, you aren't speaking about Hyper Blight but are talking about the grenade stratagem?
When you're up against an army that's highly mobile, with a small number of fragile units, the best way to beat them is to surgically cripple their weak units and then drag them into a war of attrition. The Eldar cannot afford a war of attrition.
Hiya! Great video, question: I am considering swaping Morty for two war dog brigands. Whats your take on Brigands vs Aeldari? My thinking is more indirect, perhaps compensating for mortys buffs, is nice and melta is applied after dmg reduction so not that bad vs Yncarne (and they are fast).
Yeah i think you got a good grasp on the pros and cons. Morty does help counter night spinner slow a bit better but wardogs are relatively fast regardless. The melta effect is great for yncarne and the gatling will mow down any eldar infantry you get a bead on. Solid choice
@@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien well its bsck to morty now! As for Brigands at least for me its worth more to find the points for PBCs rather than Brigands
A rules question please; if I use the biologus grenades stratem can the unit that he’s attached to still shoot their weapons in shooting after using the strategy?
Great video but watching it made me so annoyed… hearing about all the busted units and the strats and the army rules was so frustrating. Thankfully no alderi at our local hangout!
NEW PLAYER ADVICE :) Don't underestimate the plague surgeon's utility, he is insanely undercosted, being able to regen a plague marine every turn is overpowered, especially at his point cost. His melee attacks are the best for virion and he can heal Morty 3 wounds a turn! I always run three and I think they're a vital part of any list!
Not just Mort but having your marine squads run around healing your deep strike terminator Characters is at least fluffy ( and sometimes jaw dropping at times) for me
@@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien Somebody had to state the facts, like how Aeldari are a based and awesome army, with balanced rules and a wonderful player experience if you play against them
It baffles me that none of you top players are including the Icon Bearer with Living Plague in your list. I truly do not get it. Yes, he is unlikely to live long after he pops it but you should get one critical turn where almost all the Aeldari in visible sight are in plague range and even those hiding may still be within 15" of him. Helbrutes are so limited. They get so few shots and then they ONLY affect one target with contagions. Not a 30 inch diameter. Please enlighten me why the Icon Bearer is not making it into your and Will's list. Even those two recent tournament winners, Mr. Gwiss and Mr. Condren did not field any.
@@Gumby777 No. I mean you pop his ability in your turn and then start blasting the crap out of his stuff. It only lasts the one turn so doesn't matter if they move away their turn.
'Ate Eldar 'Ate Xenos Love Nurgle Nuff said

Almost at your first 100k views guys, keep up the amazing work! These videos are so detailed and have really helped me up my game
Thanks for another great video and love all of the thoughtful insights

Thanks Aiden for the great summary. I had no idea their units were so OP. Someone must really love this faction at GW... Wow.
Would be a coincidence since they've been a top tier army in like... every edition

Niiice work! Screw dem elves
great stuff

I don’t understand how the good DG players aren’t struggling with Aeldari. I’m getting booty blasted by meta lists.
Oh trust me its still a struggle!
Drinking game: drink a shot every time Aiden says "OOnderstand"/"OOnderstanding".

Thank you Aiden, we don’t care for the nasty space elves.
There is a reason that GW disables comments on all their videos.
I love this podcast man I can feel how much you don't like the Aeldari right now 🤣🤣🤣
One more thing. Just so I am clear, when you talk about killing the Yncarne by grenading him, you aren't speaking about Hyper Blight but are talking about the grenade stratagem?
Correct the strat :)
Can you do a video on how you use Plague Marines in a Rhino? I'm not quite clicking with 2x5 vs 1x10 with Biologus and Blightspawn.
I mean vs the general game not just vs Aeldari. I understand how you've explained vs Aeldari
I can look into this for you
Would the list build work with other armies (like in a tournament setting)?
There doesn’t seem to be a lot of anti vehicle in the list idea.
Yep the MSU PM build has won 2 events over the last 2 weeks. Grenades + Typhus and lethal 5s really put work in vs vehicles

I love Aeldari. They are cool.
Dumped
May all Aeldari Gloriously Rot and be reborn into something Repugnant
Pretty sure this is sarcasm👆. In my humble opinion, 10th is a great edition but only if you completely remove Aeldari out of the equation.
@@RFischerno I'm not being sarcastic....
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien that's OK 😘
Apologies if this was covered, but what loadouts would you suggest on the PM? Full melee?
Sgt with Plasma and melee
Plasma
Blight launcher
2 more melee
Multiple phases to deal dmg is v important
A rules question please; if I use the biologus grenades stratem can the unit that he’s attached to still shoot their weapons in shooting after using the strategy?
Yep still good to shoot! Just can't do it the other way around.
What is aeldari's winrate right now? 🤣
