    You are great!
    An explanation like this is very rare on youtube nowadays.
    Thank you very much.

    When we talk about an airfoil and upward or downward gust acting on it, where do we say the resultant of this gust wind force is acting? (I think ahead of CG so as to balance it's moment in the opposite direction by the lift force)

    Hello, can you say do we have a calculation for the center of pressure? How can I calculate the place of the pressure center with my hand?

    Where do find Cmo of an aircraft

  • @gtsm3013
    @gtsm3013 3 года назад

    At 6:45 , since its statically stable, the wing will tilt down to reduce AOA. But isn't that bad for the aircraft?
    (Whenever it experiences gush of wind the aircraft pitches down)

    • @SL-lx7jp
      @SL-lx7jp 3 года назад +1

      When a plane experiences a gust of wind from below, the increase in lift causes the plane to pitch up. If there's no action that counter the pitching moment of the plane, the plane will continue pitch up until critical AOA. In order the counter it, there must be a pitch down moment.

    how can we find the ac position of the plane or the wing? and the neutral position of the whole aircraft?

    • @conceptsunexplained
      @conceptsunexplained  3 года назад +2

      AC normally lies near 0.25c from wing tip. Finding neutral point needs a lot of calculations. I will try to explain that in a future video.
