  • We headed to Dakeng Mountain, in Taichung, Taiwan, to climb a lot of stairs on trails No.9 and 10, have some delicious snacks, and suck in the fresh air! If you're in Taichung, and you're feeling in the mood for a hike, definitely check out this mountain.

    Nice video... looks like a nice place... my advice would be to add a story, some interesting facts about Dakeng, make a challenge.... even just asking viewers to guess number of steps etc.... People are obviously buying into you two as people though.... the positive fun vibe is definitely coming through!

      Thank you for the comment! We definitely agree with you. We were talking to someone else earlier in this thread about this being one of our last "candid" videos for a little bit. We have a ton of videos planned heading in the direction you're talking about.

    Is hiking popular in Taiwan?

    • @Asiabrew
      @Asiabrew  6 лет назад

      It's pretty popular. However, it might be more popular in Korea.

    Sean your so lucky vicky's even cute when she's exhausted or afraid for her life! Nice views of the city the pollution levels looked way better than any city in mainland china. You ? the umbrella, clearly thy had been been there before and did not want any bugs spitting on them from the trees and melting there faces off! Vicky you were vary brave! just be glad that glass overlook was at the bottom of the mountain and not the top! thank god for the merchants that where was a dirt road could you imagine carrying all that stuff up them steps! Well that wraps up this comment thanks for sharing another amazing adventure with us.

      I am very lucky to have Vicky in my life! Haha, good call on the bug spit. And Vicky says thank you for acknowledging her massive amounts of bravery for this one! Thanks for the awesome comment.

      Thank you for asking! We are all good and everything is okay on the west side of the island. We just feel terrible for the people over on the east.

  • @jeremycline9542
    @jeremycline9542 6 лет назад +1

    In Kaohsiung, on the western side, above the beaches, there used to be a mountain that had monkeys, or so I heard. That was in 2007, so I don't know if they're there anymore. Why am I telling you this? If you could just film Prozzie trying to interact with them, it could be very comedic.

    • @Asiabrew
      @Asiabrew  6 лет назад

      We actually have a video planned for this place! We'll see about convincing Prozzie to join. This could be RUclips gold lol.

    What's your camera? I'm curious because my friend is trying to sell me her old Nikon D3200, but I have no knowledge of what is good. I'm in mainland china right now, and there's a lot of stuff I really *should* be getting pics/vid of.

    • @Asiabrew
      @Asiabrew  6 лет назад +1

      We use a Sony a6300 and our iphone 6s to record our stuff. We haven't used any Nikons but we've heard good things. As long as you can record at 1080p, without the battery dying too quickly, you'll be good to go...well and make sure the mic sounds okay.

    • @fusion9619
      @fusion9619 6 лет назад +1

      ah, well, oops. I bought it, but it can't do 1080p for very long. But I'm still satisfied with it. So now I'm debating if my camera's first adventure should be Chongqing, or Taiwan. Both are fascinating places

    • @Asiabrew
      @Asiabrew  6 лет назад +1

      As long as you're happy with it! Either place sounds like a nice adventure...however, we have a little more of a bias towards Taiwan ;)

    • @fusion9619
      @fusion9619 6 лет назад

      haha yeah, and everyone tells me Taiwan is just awesome. It certainly looks awesome! But in a way that makes me wanna go deeper into China, where fewer foreigners go. I have a few more weeks to decide, tho. The grand China adventure I think I need a whole summer for would be slowly going west by train into Xinjiang - that land is gorgeous!

    I enjoy your videos, but I think you need to write or have some script or message to teach us about Taiwan. Some candid videos like this are fine, but it doesn't always hold my attention.

    • @Asiabrew
      @Asiabrew  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks and you're right! This is one of our last "candid" videos for now (filmed it right before Prozzie made our channel explode lol). Don't worry, we have a lot more informative stuff planned for the near future (interviews, tips, places to hit when you travel, etc.).

      cool-cool. I use to live in Korea for 3 years, and really enjoy the youtubers out in asia like you and prozzie. You two are really personable so I think you can make a great channel. Best of luck!

      Thanks a lot and nice! Sean lived in Seoul for a year and Cheonan for 6 months, back in 2011-2012. Where were you located?

    • @abelgarrido2871
      @abelgarrido2871 6 лет назад +1

      No way! I was in Incheon, but I left for a smaller city (cheongju) to learn the language. It was a lot of fun. I wish I had tried living in another country, but I wanted to really learn a new language, so staying in one country helped. Keep up the good work!
