Dr Adnan al-Bursh: Serving his people until killed in Israeli detention

Dr Adnan al-Bursh, a Palestinian surgeon who was reportedly killed by torture while in Israeli custody, served as the head of orthopaedics at al-Shifa Hospital. He dedicated his life to serving his people and moved from al-Shifa Hospital to al-Awda Hospital in the Jabalia refugee camp, where he was detained along with 10 others last December.
British Palestinian Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah, who worked alongside Dr al-Bursh at al-Shifa just before the siege began, spoke to Channel 4 News. He mentioned that his colleague had the option to work in the UK or Germany, where he trained, but chose to remain and serve his people.

He was tortrd to dth. They are doing the same horrific things to the director of al shifa, Dr Abu Salimiya. Doctors at a conference for the reconstruction of Gaza's health sector discussed the inhuman trtre he is going through with both his hands being broken and that he's repeatedly humiliated before other detainees. Why is no one speaking about this? MEE and others should investigate this and campaign for his release before it's too late.
