    Great advice Rob, thanks for the free lesson, much appreciated👍😊 However, do you( and almost all of your fellow golf instructor RUclipsrs) deliberately mislabel these vids as 'chipping' when you are of course fully aware that you're pitching? Perhaps it's because most golfers equally mislabel this shot? It's very rare to see a true chipping instructional video, so perhaps you'd like to do one? Thanks again 🙏

    Hi Rob Just had a couple questions Andy Plummer in his stack and tilt videos in 2006 /7 recommended that with the basic chip shot that you deloft the club with the ball placed opposite inside of back foot ,weight 70/30 on front and holding the wrist angle on the back swing and follow through ( ie no more lead wrist flexion and right wrist extension on back swing and follow through ) Also they advocate keeping arms straight and you suggest elbows soft ( maybe both are possible at same time ) This is for the basic chip shot They dont seem too concerned about the bounce etc and they do advocate moving ball forward and opening clubface for higher shots but is not what they advocate as baseline
    however seems important that hackers like me know what would be more consistent and think it makes a difference for long games as the easier the technique the better it will be as having to think more on course will lead to paralysis
    surely having more active wrist hinge on backswing and follow though is introducing a variable that will lead to more error as opposed to holding the angle which seems more simpler If you are not playing enough then surely you will lose this technique you suggest in regards to the wrists
    So what is wrong with the original stack and tilt chipping technique ?
    thanks for any feedback

    • @danicadecrescenzo6582
      @danicadecrescenzo6582 3 года назад

      @@golftecasia It does a little but doesnt explain the wrists which seems to be the crux of he matter They advocate wrist cocking( radial deviation on back and ulnar deviation on follow through ) for hitting high shots and opening the stance slightly and even having the club handle slightly forward of ball and moving it back with even higher shots They dont talk about lead wrist extension on follow through
      seems like this is a totally different technique
      so you just make a chip with lead wrist extension on follow though and then you drive at next hole and you do this again too early now in swing and obviously flip hit and your in the water Creates confusion hence why hard to get better

    Rob, you mentioned about some players worrying about the body turn for fearing of hitting too far, then "freezing" on the shot. The way I see it, it's absolutely paramount to continue turning through the shot (as you well demonstrated), for a successful outcome- even if its only a 10 yard chip.

    Please send me some business cards I tell people every day to go to your channel but law of averages most probably are to lazy to go on youtube and look you up. Last night I watched a father and son in a hitting bay, the father is in my league pretty good 15 handicap, He is telling his son all these crazy things and I am like go on Robs site or channel ever hear of stack n tilt? the father was nice let me show the kid one thing then went back to wacking away at it hitting the side wall etc. this swing is the most hated swing in golf and it boggles my mind that more people dont try it. It changed my life I was so frustrated I gave the game up for 2 yrs the second shoyt duff was enough to drive me insane, then stack n tilt came and I am on t the green putting instead of being mad chipping or pitching on because I hit my second shot behind the ball. The funny part is these videos are FREE BUT MOST WILL PAY A TEACHER THOUSANDS.
