Congrats "LC". i flew with Theresa Claiborne, the first black female USAF pilot back in the 80's. I was her first Boom Operator in the KC-135A when she became an Aircraft Commander.
Good on her…A very capable human being! At the time I wanted to fly also..women flyers were very rare and I felt discouraged so I didn’t pursue it…thats on me… she pushed through that and made it….again good on her😇 so awesome now that she is encouraging and training women. Thank you. Indeed Dare to Dream! And just do it.

Kudos to you ma'am and may you continue to inspire everyone that you come in contact with, not just females but even males. I am proud of you even though I don't know you, but your life is profound. Please consider writing a book. You are legend and I salute you.
Thank You Col. Ng-A-Qui Kimbrell for being an inspiration and serving our country protecting us. Most folks don't know that in WW II, women were building, test flying and ferrying bombers and fighter planes. They are just as capable as men, which I witnessed at a SAC base. And yet, top brass wanted a boys club of pilots. God Bless
Congratulations on an amazing career as a fighter female pilot in the USAF and many more years to come and May God truly bless you and your family for years and I am very proud of your accomplishments.

I see you missed the first Nigerian female fighter jet pilot back 5 years ago! Lt Sanni Kafayat. In Africa they dont use skin color, because there she is just a woman, unlike in America she would be a black woman.
Only an idiot doesn't understand the story is about overcoming obstacles is AMERICA, where you weren't allowed to have certain jobs if you were black or a woman.
@ gilman23; This is an example of how they have been hiding our achievements for a few hundred years and Whitewashing our history. To all who are out there " Read, Research and Learn," this is not even the " Tip Of The Iceberg " No Peace.
This obsession with the, “first” is far overreaching, there were many women of color that came before her. An accomplishment but not unheard is 2024. Good job though.
Yeah, you are incorrect. The generic fake "people of color" label has nothing to do with black people. That's a smoke screen. . . We are specific people.
Then stick your head back in the sand so that you can ignore realities. She was just sharing her personal experiences. She wasn’t asking you or anyone else to give her shit. She was just shedding light on the fact that it’s NOT an even playing ground. But again, no one is asking YOU or anyone else to “give” them anything. And definitely not looking for your or anyone else’s sympathy. I hope that, at least, is clear.

So anytime someone of color achieves a certain level of success, it's DEI so says white supremacists. Obama was POTUS because of DEI? Blacks winning all those Grammys was DEI? Tim Scott in Senate DEI? If Trump hires Ben Carson again is it DEI?
I'd like to take the time to put forward a cogent argument as to the irrelevance of your three letters in the context of a decorated USAF officer who has sworn herself in the defence of the United States and the US Constitution, but seriously, I really can't be bothered dealing with people who get carpet burns on their knuckles. Judge things on the merits of the evidence presented, not on your personal prejudice, mate!
@stan4now he's place in the kitchen to rose and make food for those who really would fight and die for this contrey. She takes the seat from another man who deserves it more
Do you know her well enough to say she wouldn’t fight and die for this country? If those so-called man deserved it more, they would be in that seat then. Grow up….. With the way a lot of you men are acting nowadays who wants to be in the kitchen cooking for you.. If you’re so bothered then you go hop in that seat.
Why is her being black important as a fighter pilot? Making that standard is amazing for anyone as the standard is so high. So many people claim racism is everywhere, is calling out a black woman as a fighter pilot not racist? Total double standard.
That's not the issue. As stated, women were not allowed to serve in combat, especially as a fighter pilot. Col. Kimbrell is the first female African American fighter pilot, which is a huge leap forward for the Air Force.
Means nothing. I'm waiting for the first droid pilot. The planes systems make it so just about anyone can fly it. Fighter does not have the same meaning today as in the romantic halcyon days of yesteryear. She's just an active passenger.

There's nothing a black women can't do....except be POTUS, SECDEF, SECAF, CJCS.
I see you missed the first Nigerian female fighter jet pilot back 5 years ago! Lt Sanni Kafayat. In Africa they dont use skin color, because there she is just a woman, unlike in America she would be a black woman.
Most black people in America are of Nigerian descent. FYI
@@JackieLastrada I know I tested IGBO Nigerian myself on the maternal side.
Guess you didnt watch the video. She became the first in 2000.

Please don’t tell me she’s the first black woman in 2024

Hard to believe first male black fighter and bomber pilots were back in the 1940s. USA still not ready for a black female POTUS, SECDEF SECAF.
¿Y que hace diferente el color de piel?

Go away
DEI......
DEI works in order to get rid of whites only clubs.
Another victim pointing the finger at an acronym. I hope you don’t have kids. If you’re their leader, there are doomed.

Those of us who care for our country and especially those who serve and protect us, like Col. Shawna Kimbrell.
