Good luck with your project! It's definitely worth doing it yourself. I thought my renovation would take 6 weeks. About 10 months later and I'm still working on it! Learnt loads along the way though.
Good job mate. I have same sort of slope in my garden but instead brick walls on each side i have neighbour fence(will scratch my head there). Well done on putting sleepers up, gave some ideas. Thanks
I wouldn't say the seeding was to light and as you said. You can always over-seed later. I wouldn't of put a sprinkler on it. There is more chance of water logging the ground and moving the seed. The soil already looked damp. better to dampen it a 2-3 times a day for about 4-5 weeks and then place a sprinkler on after that.
@@NoviceGardener I've over seeded my lawn lawn a day after you did so I wanted bit of comparison. Mine is taking way too long to fill up I thing it's due to week of frost weather we've had
Only a few minutes just to get the soil moist. We had some warm days a couple of weeks ago so I put the sprinkler on for about 5 minutes those mornings just so the soil wouldn’t dry out too much. We’ve had a bit of rain recently so that’s saved having to use the sprinkler!
I had a few puddles after I levelled but it soon subsided once the grass came through and there was something to absorb the moisture. I’d say keep levelling it each year, it will slowly begin to maintain a consistent level.
You’ve done all the right things there. Nicely done. Now trying to find your results video. 👍
Just finished watching all these renovation videos and feel motivated to get outside tomorrow lol we’ll done mate

Would a levelling lute make the job easier?
Good job there . Just not sure if I’d put a sprinkler on it at this stage. How long did you water for?

I layer seeds after levelling my lawn with a digger; thought it was level but got lots of puddles now. How do I fix it?
