Nice video Dave, one complaint...you have made my need to get back to the Emerald Isle even worse! And do treat yourself to a heated gilet...it's a game changer, especially when you have a long chilly ride home. Cheers Steve 💚
🤣Cheers Steve, I really need to invest in one of them before next winter.
Dave, it's SNOWING here, so - I genuinely enjoyed your surprise ride-out! What gorgeous views & vistas- well worth joining you and friends out & about!
Brilliant Dave, I really enjoyed that perfect for the day that's in it . Feet up, coffee in hand, looking out at the pissing rain 👌
Loved that one Dave , seriously good looking breakfast there, great bunch of lads and stunning scenery,
Can’t beat Saturday mornings with a cup of tea and wheelie good tv for company 🫡👏👍🙋🏻♂️🕺
Good man Tony, such a shame you couldn’t join us but I have no doubt there will be many more with our group. Cheers buddy 🙏🏍️
Another great video, Dave. I spent 4 days in Wicklow a couple of years back (based in Glenmalure) and was blown away by it. WAW this year, with the help of your "Mountain Passes" series!
Cheers Ian, glad you enjoyed it.👌
Broke down in Glendalough once, locals got me sorted and some great hospitality, lovely part of Ireland in Summer😎.
PS. Keis heated vest is a game changer.
I’ll check them out Ian. 🙏
Great stuff dave was a pleasure to meet you again weather wasn't great but it didn't matter roads were quiet lovely spot for biking.fantastic company a great day had 🎉
Likewise Mark, I’m sure it won’t be the last….🤔😉
Great video as always Dave ,i have travelled the wicklow route many a time always amazes me . What i like about your content is that your commenting on real life on a bike i.e road conditions etc and you are naturally observant of hazards and not ashamed to admit that you are cautious in certain situations .... Thanks for just being yourself and continue to make great content and enjoy the beautiful irish scenery ...Stay safe buddy ....Cheers Adrian
What a lovely message to read Adrian. Many thanks mate. Cheers. 👌🙏
My five minutes of fame, thanks Dave. Great video great company. My dates for Turlock Hill were slightly off but we won’t argue over it. Until next time
🤣Cheers man. When your next guided tour?🤔
Hi Dave. Great video as always. Loved seeings Co Wicklow. It was my Dad's favorite county. He was from central Dublin before moving to the Uk in his 30s. Many happen holidays as kids. We lost him in 2020 but always connected to Ireland 🇮🇪
Anyway, Ive just bought a 2018 R1200 GS Adventure Rallye after having a break from the roads for the last 17 years. Spent those years on enduro bikes on the green lanes over here in the south of England. Looking forward to getting over to the motherland at the first opportunity for a couple of days riding. Your videos are very inspirational and have helped me get back on the black stuff (tarmac! Not the other famous Irish export)
Stay safe.
Ah wow, sorry to hear about your Dad, but great that you’re heading back to reconnect with this wonderful place. Thanks for the kind words. 🙏👌
Been to Wicklow , and around that area a couple of times great pub and bb round there🍺
Well done Dave really enjoy your video’s
Thanks Michael, I enjoy making them too. 🤗🏍️
Thanks for taking us along. I remember hearing about Wicklow in the Luka Bloom song ‘Acoustic Motorbike’. Thanks again.
Must check that out Marco. 🙏
Another good vid 👍
Great Breakfast. Great ride.
Thank you.
You’re very welcome again John. Where you based?
Nice video Dave. Love that area and have rode to Roundwood and Sally Gap many times. Nearly bought a house just down from the Roundwood Inn a few years back! I'm going to wait for fairer weather before returning though!!
Thanks Edward. Yes it’s a beautiful area. A joy to ride around in. Can’t imagine how beautiful it would be to live there. 😉
@@WheelieGoodTV Generally being cut off during the winter and the missus being a nurse near Dub and having two young kids at the time (knowing they'd be socialising heavily at a later stage!) May still retire there with a nice collection of bikes!!
Great looking roads to ride Dave stunning views and look like a great group of chaps👍
Great lads bud. I’ll be out with them again soon I have no doubt. 👌🏍️
Nice spin out there Dave, nice to see the Wicklow mountains again. That'll be great fun on the Street Triple in the summer. Looking forward to the next one.
That was a good day out.
Sure was. Great craic!
Looked a bit blowey but undoubtedly beautiful. Looks like you've got a good community of fellow riders out there
Yes great lads. It was a bit wild on the back alright. 😬💨
Fabulous video Dave but it didn`t half look a cold day ! 🥶🥶
Feckin freezing Martin. Thanks Christ I had the heated gloves 🧤 🤗
@@WheelieGoodTV 😂😂
Hi Dave, nice ride even if the roads looked a tad damp. Guess you're happy with the Road 6's? Cheers Arthur
Thanks Arthur. I love the road 6’s. Have them in all my bikes now. 👌
Great video dave hope to meet you some day on spin big fan now
Very kind mate. Thank you 🙏
Beautiful scenery, great bunch of lads and it's hard to beat a good Irish breakfast.
That's the last time you'll riding yer bike on wooden decking Dave 😅
Dead right Mike! I’ll leave the decking to the off road lads in the future.
With the free wheel wonder how many miles to empty I guess you have seen Richys video fuel container in the top box and see at zero how many miles you actually have left. We should probably all do this on our bikes but personally I just keep topping up on a recent tour of Tasmania. We have been to Ireland in a hire car was great hiring two motorcycles might out of my budget.
Well this UK rider is coming over at the end of April 😁 thanks to your videos!. Not been to Ireland before, as we normally head to Scotland, but your videos have inspired us. We are getting the Ferry from Stranraer to Larne heading down the West coast and then back round to Rosslare. We really can't wait, but I've just to make sure I don't put in too many hairy passes as my wife only passed her test last year. Any advice as to which ones would be best to avoid, Dave?
Ah that’s amazing! You won’t regret it, the scenery and the roads especially over West are stunning. Don’t avoid any of them, do them all! Priests Leap and Healy Pass are my favourites.
👌🏍️
Very enjoyable video Dave. Was this last January Dave or more recent? I’m glad the roads and weather was good enough for you to head out. This is what is most concerning about me moving over to Ireland, the fact that I can still ride my bikes here because the winter weather stays pretty decent in Malta. In fact it’s better than summer when it’s too hot to ride! But you’re out and about and so are the lads. That’s encouraging.
Hi Stephen, yeah January just gone. Are you moving to Ireland full time? 🤗🏍️🇮🇪
@@WheelieGoodTV That’s the plan but not yet. It’ll be a few years yet when I retire. So that’ll be about 4 years from now. We’re visiting as much as we can to scout school possibilities for the twins which are still young. They’ll be 10 next April. It will be a small town preferably as we don’t like cities.
Watching this in evening here in bc but getting hungry for that breakfast 🤓😋. How’s the noise on that new front tire. 🍻😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦
Totally fine John. Don’t notice any noise. Love these tyres.🛞
Looking forward to the season from Norway with 1,5 meters with snow…when is the best time to visit Ireland, if you look to climate and lack of tourist pressure? Thank you for video content. Basic no fuss and sale.
Thanks man. Best time to visit Ireland I always say is Soring time. April/May before it gets swamped with tourists especially on the west coast is a special time of year here.
Loved the video, great job. You mentioned not seeing many English bikers in Ireland. I'm hoping to visit this year; do you have any recommendations on where a newbie to Ireland should visit and how to find accommodation.
Thanks in anticipation.
Thanks Tony. Anywhere on the Wild Atlantic Way mate is amazing. Connemara is a favourite of mine. I use the usual sites like Booking.com and Trip advisor. These areas rely heavily on tourists so they are very good.
Thank you, that's very helpful, I'll be over there as soon as possible. Looking forward to it.
Really enjoyed that Dave.
Any ride outs planned for southeast direction over the coming months?
Oh yes. Hopefully doing something over the summer. I’d love to do a meet up with a few other riders if you’re available?
Yes, would be available and would like to meet you and the few lads for a spin and a chat. Anything planned for the Monday of paddy’s weekend?
Hi Dave nice ride out there! Have you gone back the Dji receiver being plugged back into camera? Rather than using just transmitter directly by Bluetooth. Cheers
Well spotted mate. Nah, this vid was recorded at Christmas time before I got that new tech. No flies on you!💨😉
Nice little retrospective vid on ye're spin out Dave.👍
Are you planning any more ride outs in the coming months?
Never planned really Turlough, more spur of the moment. Would be nice to hook up, where you based?
@@WheelieGoodTV I'm just over here outside delvin.the n51 and n52 on my doorstep. Yes meetup would be great one of the days. A nice excuse to get out for a spin and a coffee along the way.
Kells would maybe be a good meeting point if you'd like,I often head over that direction 👍
@@WheelieGoodTV Will be heading out tomorrow morning for a spin over that direction if you're free?👍
@@turloughnolan9838 would have been good but looks like I’m heading to the wilds of Mayo tomorrow. 😬🎥
@@WheelieGoodTV No problem at all, another day so.weather looks decent anyway for it tomorrow, Enjoy and safe travels to the west 👍
