Frozen, because of the song Let It Go. I can't believe that WatchMojo didn't mention the movie.
You forgot Across The Spiderverse....the sequel's soundtrack upped the game
The Loud House Movie
How to train your dragon, Kung fu panda, Up, Inside Out, Luca, Spider man across the spiderverse
The Polar Express
Megamind is elite…Back in Black, Highway to Hell, Mr Blue Sky, Crazy Train, Welcome to the Jungle
Yess! The Welcome to the Jungle scene is so good, I get chills just thinking about it lmao
It's literally a playlist for Dad Rock.
*PRESENTATION* INSTENSIFIES
I think there should be an Top 20 Underrated Animated Movie Soundtracks list next.
Yes! Plus, "Over the Moon" and "Vivo" should be included on that list.
@@deenadallas2802 I was thinking the same thing.
Mulan, Coco, An American Tail, Princess and the Frog, Emperor's New Groove, Meet the Robinsons, Treasure Planet, I can keep going. Point is, you need a longer list
The Shrek soundtrack was surprisingly good. Jason Wade (from Lifehouse) doing a cover of You Belong to Me is so good.
The prince of Egypt has the most killer soundtrack of any animated movie… it’s one of my favorites that’s for sure!
The Prince of Egypt, Anastasia, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Little Mermaid, Shrek, The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Lion King are the best no question. They are on the next level and really transform the art of scores in cinema especially in what is an animated one. The likes of Hans Zimmer, Alan Menken and even Elton John cannot be matched
Ye
What about American Pop?
They are
Can we all just agree that NO ANIMATED MOVIE can ever top their soundtracks?
Hunchback not being number 1 is crazy.
No Cars? Life is a highway? route 66? behind the clouds? real gone?
I've been thinking about the song "Life Is A Highway" 🛣️ from "Cars" yesterday! So that's the name of it. Also, I don't recall any of the other songs you mentioned.
Yeah! Definitely the best
Brother Bear deserves a spot on the list
I watched a music video with some seems from "Brother Bear".
Hans Zimmer, Elton John, and Tim Rice are the trio i never knew i needed the most. The Lion King is not the same without that legendary trio working together on the soundtrack 🙌
Don't forget they did an awesome job with The Road To El Dorado since Elton John, Tim Rice and Hans Zimmer did a great job with the soundtrack outside The Lion King.
Honorable Mention: Metro Boomin Presents Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Soundtrack from and Inspired by the Motion Picture) - Calling, Am i Dreaming, Givin Up and Another Dimension are goated
1. Tangled
2. Encanto
3. Cars
4. Trolls
5. Sing 1 & 2
6. Shrek
The Lion King makes you feel all emotions
Tarzan is the best. One man, one soundtrack and he created a masterpiece. The legend that is Phil Collins. As soon as the drums kick into Two Worlds, that's it, I'm sobbing.
Trashin the Camp is one of my favorites in movie and cd.
Dont forget brother bear
One track not mentioned is Cars! I love the music in the movie!
I watched part of it at home and the full movie at school 🎒!
I grew up watching Shrek, and I love the soundtrack. ❤🎉
#1 is The Lion King and it's not even close. I don't even have to watch the video to know it's the top
Circle of Life, I Just Can't Wait to Be King, Be Prepared, Hakuna Matata, Can You Feel the Love Tonight.
If you lived through the 90s then you'd know just how big these songs were.
What about How to Train your Dragon? Test Drive is iconic and a perfect goes hard score that I heard
That's one of the movies I was thinking!
be prepared was my favourite song.
Too bad they butchered it in the remake. Well, the intensity of it.
Now we need an updated list of instrumental original soundtracks in animated movies.
Ah, many of these soundtracks brings back a lot of great memories.
The soundtrack for the 2021 film “Belle” really took me by surprise!
A goofy movie's Powerline was actually voiced by Tevin Campbell, who at the time was a famous R&B pop artist. Don't count out, Tevin Campbell, he had an amazing voice. Remember 🎵Can we talk, for a minute, girl i want to know your name 🎶 , that is Tevin Campbell.
Princess mononoke and howls moving castle also got legendary tracks❤
The Emperors new groove, The road to ELDorado , Tarzan , trolls, the hunchback of Notre Dame & shrek
Love eldrarodo
I think Transformers The Movie deserved a spot on this list.
The animated? Absolutely it did!
@@rodimus371 yeah I do mean the original animated movie thank you.
Yes! For songs like The Touch and Dare by Stan Bush, the Decepticons battle theme Instruments of Destruction, and Weird Al's iconic Dare to be Stupid!
My top three favorites and no particular order had to go to the 1986 Transformers movie, Titan AE and the Tarzan soundtrack.
The top Animated Movie Soundtrack that I recognize and enjoy listening to are the Sing soundtrack, Despicable Me soundtrack, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Trolls soundtrack, Hercules soundtrack, Happy Feet soundtrack, Aladdin soundtrack, A Goofy Movie soundtrack, The Little Mermaid soundtrack, Encanto soundtrack, The Hunchback of Notre Dame soundtrack, Tarzan soundtrack, Shrek soundtrack, Beauty and the Beast soundtrack and The Lion King soundtrack
Amazing list but you most definitely overlooked Shrek 2
Yes a classic
I have an interesting idea for a video: Top 10 cases where positive characters turned out to be villains"
💯
Ooh good idea!
Isn't that the same idea as say twist villains?
@@josecrane4132not quite. I mean those who did not pose a threat from the very beginning, and not, for example, Rapunzel's mother, who immediately raised doubts.
If there will be a video like that, I have some characters in mind.
Was a bit worried about the direction for a bit until Prince of Egypt, definitely a worthy #2. I need a separate video for scores. Joe Hisaishi and Hans Zimmer need more attention
No Curious George?!? That Jack Johnson soundtrack is pure bliss
I should watch that movie again.
Spiderverse
Lion King
Shrek
Aladdin
Hunchback of Notre Dame
And Tarzan are my favorites
Where’s Demon Slayers Mugen Train and My Hero Academia Heroes Rising? You put an anime film on the list, you could’ve put these banger soundtracks
Knowing them they're saving it for another list. Edit: Your Name is on here.
The goofy movie sound track is undefeated
Long live power line a.k.a. Tevin Campbell.
I guess you can say it really stands out 😏
@@mikethegrunty5968Yessir
yess it will always be the king of soundtrack aminated movies period
Your name was definitely a really good soundtrack
I would’ve included frozen and it’s sequel frozen 2 on the list
Tarzan is my most favorite Disney soundtrack since most songs are my favorite except trashin camp
I think an American tail would have been good too
I love those types of movies. Including but not limited to _The Jungle Book, Happy Feet, Shrek, Sing, Shark Tale, Shrek 2, Madagascar, Over the Hedge, Flushed Away, Tarzan, Brother Bear, Pocahontas, Cats Don’t Dance, Shrek the Third, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Happy Feet Two, Trolls, Despicable Me, Frozen, Cars, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, Anastasia, Encanto, Cars 2, Trolls World Tour, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Prince of Egypt, Beauty and the Beast, Coco, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Aladdin, Moana, Cars 3, The Little Mermaid, Trolls Band Together, Mulan, The Lion King…_ it’s a pretty long list.
Honorable mention to Road to El Dorado! Even if the movie didn't always hit the right notes, a lot of the music sure did!
In Spanish is even more beautiful
Even after all these years, Hunchback still has not only the best hero song, it also has the best villain song!!!!!!!
As a film enthusiast, I always love listening to them movie soundtracks.
"The Heavy Metal Movie"?
Pink Floyds "The Wall"?
Phineas And Ferb?
Arcane?
"Ferngully: The Last Rainforest"?
The Crystal Chamber from Atlantis: The Lost Empire. That track was epic.
Other animated movie soundtracks did we missed:
Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Surf's Up (2007)
Mulan (1998)
Pocahontas (1995)
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004)
The Emperor's New Groove (2000)
etc.
Aladdin being 11 is wrong, it’s my favorite. Every song is a banger.
I watched it at school 🏫!
One of the best animated soundtrack for me is I'm still here by goo goo dolls sound track of the TREASURE PLANET
The Prince of Egypt is painfully underrated
1986´s Transformers The Movie should´ve been on this List.
Yes
There is no mention of Frozen. The 2013 Disney movie includes songs like Love is an Open Door, Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, In Summer, and the best song of all, Let It Go, sung by Idina Menzel who voiced Elza and it was covered by actress/singer Demi Lovato.
Danny Elfman (NBC) is a genius and one of my favourite composers
The chipmunk adventure movie from the late 80s had an excellent soundtrack with the best songs being diamond dolls, and the boys of rock and roll.
The absence of The Princess & The Frog on this list is utterly criminal.
There are so many things to appreciate about this list, but you specifically mentioned it wasn’t going to focus on instrumental scores, and then proceeded to reference that very thing multiple times in your rankings... so why not just make that list already? 😅😊
You forgot Cars. Randy Newman’s score and the songs from the soundtrack are BANGERS
I love Ur videos the are amazing
I would personally also put Tangled in here, but to be fair, there are too many movies with great songs. So it's understandable, it didn't got on this list.
I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE (min. 16:09 - the Shrek all-star meme)
Sorry but Hunchback and Tarzan shouldn’t come before Aladdin…
T
his has to be the greatest watchmojo video ever
Heavy Metal: The movie. THE best animated soundtrack EVER.
Lion King is the best Disney movie ever written and created! The soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal
The Lion King
Frozen
Toy Story
Aladdin
Oliver and Company
Moana
Shrek
The Princess and the Frog
Sing
Cars
WALL.E
Spider-Man: Into the spider verse
The Polar Express
Over the Moon
Soul
🎵🎬 Absolutely love these soundtracks, they're iconic! 🎉🎶
A great list however I would have added Oliver and Company, Mulan, Brother Bear, and Jimmy Neutron
I'm noticing a disturbing lack of Shrek 2 on this list
1:58 Freeze ray!
Megamind definitely deserves a lot more credit. It‘a soundtrack perfectly compliments Megamind’s Villainy.
You should do animated scores next (and fill it with Joe hisaishi’s discography)
I kinda feel like Trolls World Tour and Trolls Band Together should be in here too
While I agree that most of these movies deserve to be here, I consider it a crime that you didn't include Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. It's my favorite DreamWorks movie for a good reason. From Hans Zimmer's epic score to Bryan Adams' amazing vocals.
I listened to Spider Man: into the Spider-Verse Soundtrack everyday
I miss the Soundtrack from "Spirit - wild Stallion of the Cimarron". Hans Zimmer and Bryan Adams produced a real amazing soundtrack!
I hope a video of Top 20 Animated Movie SCORES will be forthcoming. Joe Hisaichi is sure to be well represented.
One of my favorites is The Transformers 1986 animated movie which is unapologetically 80s which makes it awesome!
Your Name shouldve been top 5 at least, the soundtrack made the movie even better than the masterpiece it already was
*Mickey, Donald and Goofy: The Three Musketeers, Disney's Hercules, Aladdin, Mulan, Disney's Tarzan, Disney's Leroy & Stitch, Beauty and the Beast, Hotel Transylvania, Chicken Little, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Monsters Inc., The Princess and the Frog, Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, The Lion King, Your Name, Trolls World Tour, Raya and the Last Dragon, The Little Mermaid, Return to Never Land, A Goofy Movie, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, Paw Patrol: The Movie, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Encanto, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Big Hero 6* all have THE Best Epic Animated Movie Soundtracks I Absolutely Love, Respect, Cherish and Appreciate throughout the years.
YOUR NAME APPRECIATION, YES 😭😭😭
I'm sorry but how can you make this list and not include Shrek 2? It was the debut appearance of The Counting Crows "Accidentally in love" it had "I need some sleep" by Eels, David Bowie and Butterfly Boucher recorded a great cover of "Changes" and above all gave us the best version of "Holding Out For a Hero". It's a universal agreement that it's the best version. It fits so well with the climax of the movie as everything is on the line, and it's so upbeat and lively. My two cents on the matter anyway.
Agree
So glad that I've had the honor of being in local stage performances of some of these movies! Started with minor roles like the Gingerbread Man (Gingy) for Shrek, Phoebus for Hunchback of Notre Dame and Sandy Clause for Nightmare before Christmas and eventually got to the point of doing leading roles as Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie for the later.
The Prince Of Egypt and Anastasia are the best example of making an wonderful soundtracks that ain't Disney, I am proud to say they are one of my favorite animated movie soundtracks.
All these soundtracks are nice! I've heard most of the ones on this list. It's awesome how movies have soundtracks! Also, "The Lion King" is one of the movies I was thinking!
Somewhat subjective since everyone has their own taste in music
Into/Across The Spiderverse, Transformers:The Movie (1986), Megamind, and The Incredibles are my favorite animated movie soundtracks.
No love for Transformers the movie soundtrack!? Not even an honorable mention!?
I'm with you on this one! "You've got the touch...you've got the power "!
I know. It´s criminal.
Agreed. This list gets an automatic thumbs down. 👎🏼
The goofy movie soundtrack just screams Michael Jackson vibes
Yes the Eye2eye song sounds like Michael
The Prince of Egypt and The Lion King has the best soundtracks because both movies has the same composer: the music magic master today, Hans Zimmer.
Megamind and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
The score and soundtrack from Coraline is underrated it really adds to the tone of the movie
Unfortunate lack of Surf's Up; genuinely an underrated soundtrack
Some of my favorites are Transformers: The Movie (Stan Bush still doesn’t get his just due, I feel) and Polar Express. Tom Hanks, I feel, went above and beyond for this one, playing four roles and doing his fair share of singing (‘The Polar Express’ and ‘Hot Chocolate’ to name a few).
Daniel Pemberton's SpiderVerse stuff is legendary.
It felt like a Disney top animated sound tracks
Heavy Metal. While definitely not a kids movie, with bands like Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap trick, Black Sabbath, Stevie Nicks, etc. you have to count it
My song favorite jack world ❤❤❤
Nostalgia hit when moana played 😢
Saw this title and instantly thought Shrek.
Animated movie soundtrack is amazing masterpiece we love to listen
The only soundtracks I enjoy are the following: The Nightmare before Christmas; Hercules; Aladdin; A Goofy Movie; The Little Mermaid; Encanto; Tarzan; Shrek; Beauty, & the Beast; The Lion King; You forgot to mention: Coco; Everything else not so much a fan of.
prince of egypt is my favourite animated film of all time! so good!
