Came from the tik tok, im a senior in HS about to graduate. literally took 2 pages of notes on this ! Thanks for all the insight from someone who’s been there before, you’re really influencing me to push through and take on the challenge of being a CE
Hey man congrats you are already doing better than most. Currently on my third year of community college, please please please pay attention to your degree plan and done stray away from it that was my major error when I first started community college. Good luck man and I hope you are able to pursue your desired career and do excellent.
Came from Tiktok, im so so loving these videos!! I started with engineering and changed majors to psychology because I was so so scared of failing precalc (im a foreign student so it was tough) but my now husband is going for electrical engineering and im moving on with him so I can start again! This video is just so so motivating to my journey
Currently watching this on my third year of community college still doing pre reqs. I am currently a bit worried and stressed on how ima do it the following fall semester at UTA. I was a bit worried that I was going to have to take 5-6 years to complete my civil engineering degree but I am kinda feeling better once he said the degree takes longer than most. Can’t wait to be able to do this once I get my career up and running.
I loved this video, the advice is super valuable. id love to see a video about getting into rhe engineering program, what subjects abd extra skills we need to get in.
Great advice and guidance from a 36 year old fabricator going back to school. In your professional opinion, do you feel that 8 years as a structural welder/fabricator will assist in my path to Civil Engineering proffesion?
Thank you for your video, it really helped me understand better the pathway to become a civil engineer. I Had a question though. You said that by taking calculus 2 in college you did a year to graduate? The question is in general, which math level should I be in in order to do CE in college. Thank you again!!!!
@@RitaIgwabi I’m glad I could help. You’ll most likely be starting out in calculus 2, but I would say in general the best math to have under your belt is algebra and trig. I started with Calculus 2 in college because I passed AP Calc AB and BC in highschool

I'm glad you liked the video! Getting into an engineering program is competitive, but I can help with tips for those subjects and skills.

What direction are you leaning toward?
I just finish my civil degree InJamaica any advice going forward, I want to get to USA or Canada to work and live
Thank you for doing this for all of us. You really motivate me, thank you! Did you ever have to retake a course?
I enjoy teaching! It also helps me reiterate things. I never had to retake a course, I just tried my best to push through

It depends what field--what route do you think you would go?
