@pondguru ..I observed from the rabbits I raised that they dig deep holes when they are pregnant 15 days before delivery and prepared it as a nest with enough nesting material they gather. Then they cover the hole entrance every time they leave it. At first I thought they were killing the babies inside by depriving them of oxygen but I think they know exactly how much air is needed and return to milk them together with fresh air. It like how they protect them from preying animals and fire ants.
@pondguru ...in case others haven't know, I read in survival situation that eating rabbit meat only for a week with no other foods with enough fat or oil would lead to death caused by stomach upset
Are all these rabbits digging in holes dug by something else. I know they possibly dig a depression to put their babies in for feeding but that they usually dig in other animals abandoned burrows.
@pondguru ..it's easy to remove the smell from your hand or skin. I 've tried soaping it several times, with lemon, with strong detergent, alcohol but I still smell them . Then I come across about how to clean yourself coming from a violent riot with teargas clinging to you. It says apply with mineral oil (cooking oil also works)then soaping it with little water and rinse it. Repeat if necessary. Same goes with swimming in chlorinated pool.
The meat isn't too bad but the smell stays on your hands when you skin them so I'm good eating beef, lamb, chicken. I have been asked to do a video of skinning rabbits as part of my bushcraft series so you never know........ Thanks for watching.
That poor rabbit looks like it is in the early stages of Myxomatosis, something that only the most evil of humans could have created and inflicted on another creature.
Avetorro that is terrible, I did not know that was a thing, that's about as bad as the acid injections that happen in the middle east, and South East Asia.
Napalm Blaziken nothing is cruel about watching a wild rabbit dig a borrow the camera was probably zoomed in on the rabbit and those kids talking was not at all going to hurt the rabbit in any way !!!
In the old days, trappers in Nort America would regularly die from 'rabbit starvation' - quite right. You need to eat something other than rabbits if you're going to survive for any length of time.

@@LikyaBum this comment is quite old
@@Bx55_Kh4nnY very nice
To be honest it's as equally oddly absorbing to watch in real life
It's biting and chewing--maybe eating roots? I think cottontails in the U.S. dig a hole faster than this, if they're making a burrow.
what a curious human being watching me digging my new home
I don't think that walking about with a gun at Centre Parcs would go down too well with the other families there.
I listened to diggy diggy hole as I watched this...

What do you call a female bunny rapper? Diggy Azalea.
I’ll see myself out

I don't know about other areas and other countries, but in American southwest, wild rabbits carry a disease some years that can make you very ill.

Run, rabbit run
Dig that hole, forget the sun
And when at last the work is done
Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one
I googled it exactly from this song!
My son-in-law said Cottontails don't dig holes...I said they did as one did in my yard. I sent him this video.

Anyone here from the "burrow" pixar short with the bunny that is digging a hole for it's house
Thanks for that, man
I'm surprised. There's an animal video and no one's shouting that this is cruel to animals.
Napalm Blaziken nothing is cruel about watching a wild rabbit dig a borrow the camera was probably zoomed in on the rabbit and those kids talking was not at all going to hurt the rabbit in any way !!!
GP RABBITS There's always some idiot claiming that it's cruel to animals. I don't know why, but there is.
Some people care more about animals than people. One of my former friends got mad because I sprayed ants that got in my house.
good ol' rabbit
What A Good Spot to Have Baby Bunnies.
I really want my rabbit to start digging a warren but he's old now :(

I'm thinking that a legit trapper could figure out how to trap another animal to supplement their diet.
My bunny does that to
he coming right for us BANG!!!
Yeah, followed by a quick call to the police from their wives and mothers.
She must be going to have babies. ..I love Rabbits
