I am about to make , well try to make a wallet. Sharp knife and a kitchen fork. Your videos are awesome. That trick of threading the needle works like magic. As if I need to tell you. Thanks for the time you put in making these videos.
Everything you do is exquisitely perfect. I have never seen a stitch out of line or anything less than perfect! I sure am trying to attain this level of perfection.
Keep at it! You will progress fast with watching these videos. When you get frustrated- KEEP going! Jo is one of the FEW that I would recommend. She has a natural well developed talent that she has been able to share with us on her youtube channel. Thank you @J.H.Leather for sharing your talents! With admiration from Canada.
I love your videos. But as a newbie to leather crafting, In future videos, I would like it if you could comment on the leather you are using (weight, Chrome vs Veg, etc.).
Hi, I'm new to this and find your videos very knowledgeable! Just one question upto now, can you please tell me what you dye and shine the edges with once cut to shape please? 😊
Ahh yes I made mine with shell cordovan leather lol now Everytime I wear my ID badge I get this cool feeling smooth slick felling which no other badge holder ever did!

Hi, would you mind giving some details about the Headknife and the Stainless Ruler with the “finger protecting grooves” (we guitar players that play with VERY SHARP KNIVES need to know where to get one....) Thanks!! Excellent video as always! 👍🏼 G
Hey Gordon, Its a Maun safety ruler. I got mine from Abbey England. The head knife I have is a custom made one based on an older single head knife that I have. You can get a similar one from George Barnsley and sons 👍
Really great video Jo, your skills are very evident in how easy you make it look! Enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for ;posting. You seem to burnish your edges using canvas alone - a quick rub or so it seems. I have watched other videos where leatherworkers seem to spend an eternity on their edges using wooden slickers, wax or tokonole. Why do you not do that, just curious?
I will sometimes use some acrylic resolene on the edges to help waterproof them a bit. With the polishing all you need to do is create friction to polish the edges and I find a stain cloth is easy to do this with so only use that. Hope that helps, Jo
Hi there, Abbey England and Metropolitan Leather are good places to look in the UK. In the USA Tandy Leather Craft, weaver leather supply and Osborne tools are all good suppliers. Hope that helps. Jo
@@JHLeather wonderful, thank you. What kind of leather did you use in this video? I like the waxy look to it, but I seem to be having a rather hard time finding something like it Thanks again :)
Hiya, I get most my tools from Abbey England (they do international shipping if you are outside the UK). In you are in the USA then have a look at Osborne tools and weaver leather supply they do some nice ones.

Nice skills and editing! If I may ask, what glue did you use? Thanks!
Thank you 😊 the glue is use is a contact adhesive called bostik 6092 it's used a lot in the shoe industry and is the best adhesive I've ever used 👍
@@JHLeather Thanks! I did some quick research and most sell it in a 5litre can, right? That's a lot of glue! :P
@@Tzazilas yeah it is a lot of glue, if it's something that you will be using a lot though it's worth it.
