    Props to the dad to share his story. It was such a funny episode I laughed a lot. However sometimes It seemed like Marvin is still hurt.
    Although as you get older you start to understand your parents, it doesn’t change the past and the way they made you feel so I really hope he healed his inner child.

      Thank you for watching and for the feedback. I think Sukali and his dad are in a better place and working to rebuild that relationship. Everyone makes mistakes, so we need to be forgiving and understanding 🙏🏾

      I agree. I forgave my father. I still feel there is so much I should have experienced with him.

    I didnt like how the other 2 kept rooting for dad in good faith. Like obviously his actions did cause a lot of pain to the women and kids he collected throughout his life and it doesn't matter where they are coming from. An apology is nice to have

    You can forgive but it’s hard to forget 😔 I hope your pops has seen what his lifestyle has done to the children and rebuild that trust/love with Marvin because I completely understand what Marvin is going through as a British Ugandan, therapy is needed and keeping yourself busy. Great episode guys 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

    Sweet stick 😂😂😂 This was a funny episode .
    As a Muganda man , I can relate with Marvin in a way . Our fathers almost never directly say they are proud of us or love us but they always express it to their close friends /relatives . Men especially wealthy ones can have multiple children outside their ‘official marriage ‘ in secrecy up until their death when their mistresses show up with kids to claim some of the inheritance. Kudos to SS for being open about his partners and somehow holding the family together as much as has for all those years .
    Is their a part 3 ?

    • @IMOPODCAST
      @IMOPODCAST  Год назад +2

      Yes Part 3 should be out tomorrow! I wish more Fathers spoke life into their children and reminded them how proud they are of them before it’s too late

    I love that 🇺🇬 trad outfit Mulinde's dad is rocking! This could not have been an easy episode for father and son. It's also not an unusual story in Africa.
    I'd have liked to see a one-on-one between Marvin and his dad.

    Let's keep it real rejecting a child ain't cool at all , that alone could make a child hate u no need for a woman to brain wash them. We agree we do foolish things when young but it's wrong. Own up stop deflecting is all am saying.

    I enjoyed watching this. Thank you guys for this one, really appreciate Marvin’s dads transparency & sharing his story.
    African parents follow through with this thing called culture which sometimes encourages toxic behaviour. I have a love hate relationship with this thing. Culture.

      Thank you for watching. I think it’s great to be able to get to a place where you can agree to disagree with African Culture. Where we can respect it but not always agree with some of its practices

    by far one of the best episodes on this podcast. Quite a number of learning points. It takes one thing to acknowledge your mistakes and take responsibility for them and another to just shy away. I think as humans we ought to pick a leaf.thanks In my opinion podcast for this and thanks to Prince Mulinde for sharing

    Such an interesting episode, to be able to speak so freely with your (african) dad is so great. But I don’t agree with everything, behaving in a way that could hurt other people and saying you can’t ask for forgiveness because of the culture and who you are are is not it. And I’m almost sure it would be considered as the worst sin if this was the other gender. Anyway, I know the generations are different. Sending hugs to Marvin 😊
