Started visiting Belize 2003 and made it our vacation location. Ive been in construction most of my life and I think you nailed it. What is common knowledge to some of us most have no idea. Thanks for sharing and hope to be there again soon! Safe travels and happy Thanksgiving!!
How about buying 100 feet of 2" black flex pipe, curl it on the roof, attach a 12 Volt Shurflow pump and a rainwater catchment tank. You have more hot water that you need. I had in the Yukon in the summer for our guests. Be innovative.
@dragonflygenetics420 yes it is ridiculous if you ask me. Yet the tariff on Solar make it out of everyday belizeans reach. Things have to change. Thanks for watching 😁
$5k is about right, actually cheap. All across rural America there are unincorporated areas where the same thing occurs. You got to cut the road, install the pipe, connect and test the line, then backfill the road. 85' line extension in Maryland would be about $15k US.
@@WhereToNexxt The income is geared to force people to stay in the cities. Only the well off go out to the boonies and buy property. It's interesting to note that my property was initially deeded to Paul Charles Louis Alexander, Count Francis von Hohenstein, Duke of Teck and was later deeded to one of the Gillette family(his bastard offspring). It was part of a big latifundia.
We live in Belize…and have property near Ladyville. BWS quoted me over $40k bzd and that was with me digging the trench. On top of this, BEL has quoted me over $50k bzd for power. Every property around me has grid power and water. Unbelievable

That is crazy.... but in Belize it's even crazier considering the income here. Thanks for watching. 😁

@@WhereToNexxt No problem. Stay in touch.
I’ve been looking at houses and most do not have hot water. Apparently most locals don’t think it’s necessary. Do you have a hot water heater?
Yes we have a on demand hot water heater. It works great.
@ I saw your place on the Vida Realty website. You have really done a lot of work and made a nice homestead there
@cindywine4660 Thank you. It has been a great experience to build a home from the ground up. Definitely was on our bucket list...😁😁
Add links in this video to your solar installation, water, sewage, internet and other installations. That would be useful to the newbies.
Great idea thanks...😁😁
Why someone would want to hook up to city services escapes me.
Can't depend on them. Thanks for watching 😁
