First of all, sorry for my english.
Im from spain and U.D Las Palmas fan, believe me when i say to you that the club is really a good club for young guys carrers.
Some examples of the last few years:
-DARIO ESSUGO 19 years old, defensive midfielder, nobody knew him before he came 5 months ago on loan to las palmas, and now madrid, barcelona, atletico madrid are asking to sp portugal for him... and chelsea offer 25 millions for him this transfers window. But las palmas refuse to gave him back to his team and wanted to make him stay for the rest of the seasson.
FABIO SILVA, 22 years old striker, the wolverhampton payed 40 millions euros when he was 18, put a lot of pressure on him and he have been on multiple failure loans, and he himself was considered a "failure" youngster in the premier league... but he has potential, and he came with Essugo this year on loan(both portuguese) and the guy is in his best moment of his carrer, he have scored 7 goals and 2 assists and beside stats, he is performing amazingly well at las palmas, villareal and atletico have him on their wish list for the next summer window. He only have one more year contract with the wolves.
Saul coco, a CB promoted from the academy, did well the last few seassons, and last window he was sold out to torino in italy for 7.5 millions.
Mika marmol, spanish young defender, he was playing in second division of spain, las palmas scout him, and now he is linked with roma in italy. He increased last seasson his value (transfermarkt page) from 1.5 million euros before las palmas to 12 millions now.
Las palmas also produced from the academy some good players, like:
PEDRI(one of the best midfielders right now in the world)
MOLEIRO (he is really good, and he have been improving more and more this past 2 seassons)
JOSEP MARTINEZ (Now goalkeeper of inter milan in italy)
    And etc...
Of course not all young guys are gonna be brilliant in las palmas, luck with injuries and all plays a factor. BUT, believe me when i say to you that in spain, there is not tha much of better teams for youngsters to show and develop their skills than las palmas.
I understand the take on choosing porto vs las palmas... but when you are on a loan with the porpouse of return back to a big team like liverpool and have a place there, 'winning tittles' with a team like porto, is not something you really need. You need to be one of the influential guys in the team and have minutes, like he is gonna have here in the team.
There is some news that are saying that both clubs talk about the possibility to go on loan the next year to las palmas again, but this time the whole seasson. In case that liverpool decide to loan him one last time more. And i think thats a really good idea.
There is no need to rush things with a HUGE prospect and talent like Stefan. Here in spain a lot of us love him and have big hopes with him. Rodri is the best in the world in that position, and he started his carrer been consider a "decent" player but nothing more, and look him now. At the same age, rodri was no near to the status Stefan have on international football. There is no need to be a "starter" for liverpool right now, lets see in the next few years, he is only 20 years old.
Wish you all the best and win the premier league this seasson
    ❤️🤝💛....

Early signs of injury proneness. (I called this on Jota within his first 6 months & everybody clowned on me, but fortunately Jota was already basically world class when he joined. Changed their tune now. He’s clearly injury prone.)
I’d sell while his value is still high. If he picks up 1 or 2 or moderate-major injuries in the next 2 years, which I think he will, he’ll be worth buttons. He’ll never become world class if he’s picking up injuries so frequently so young. (And before you say ‘they’re not that frequent,’ that’s what everyone told me about Jota. At the risk of tooting my own horn, I have a knack for spotting these things early - sports science passion & biomed degree.)
    21/22 Back Injury - 159 days
    22/23 Abductor Injury - 80 days
    23/24 Calf injury - 193 days
That’s a moderate-major injury in a different area of the body every season. (Before he even made his debut.) It’s exactly what the injury history of someone who is seriously injury prone looks like at his age.
Only major positive is he’s homegrown, but that’s a bit pointless if he’s never available.

As a FSG out guy im starting to think this has nothing to do with FSG anymore. We should have loads of money due to our net spend and not signing much. There is clearly cash especially if you count the 120 for caicedo the season before. I think its LFC themselves that dont want to fork over too much money.

Bajectic is a quality player and now that he is fit again he could be an viable option. That said with Morton, McConnel, Nyoni, Rio, etc the future looks good if they are able to get some experience whether that is at the club or elsewhere am not sure. But they are all major talents.

  • @MikeyJMJ
    @MikeyJMJ 7 дней назад +7

Bacjetic is a perfect example of a player being too good too soon in the wrong hands. The club, realizing they made a stinker signing Melo on deadline day previous summer, decide NOT to fix the midfield issue in January. Klopp is then forced to turn to this kid.
He ends up being undroppable. FSG celebrate thinking they've just made a fortune while spending nothing, and surprise surprise he ends up with a serious long term injury due to the intense schedule that he should NEVER have been subject to.
I would not be shocked if this was one of the main factors Klopp cut short his contract the following season. FSG's biggest black mark as far as I'm concerned

    • @matthewvaughan8192
      @matthewvaughan8192 6 дней назад +1

Nope. Not Klopp’s fault. Was happening before his debut. He’s just injury prone.
      21/22 Back Injury - 159 days
      22/23 Abductor Injury - 80 days
      23/24 Calf injury - 193 days
That’s exactly how the injury history of someone who is seriously injury prone looks at his age. And no, bulking up won’t fix it, because he would have shown SOME muscle growth by now. He’s just too naturally skinny to play in the centre of the park.
Sell while there’s still an illusion that he might actually become world class and not just another high-potential player whose career will be ruined by injuries. We should pull a Rhian Brewster with him. Imagine if we kept Brewster for 2 more seasons? He’d be worth 5m tops - but we sold at the perfect time, and fleeced Sheff Utd for 25m on a player who had 2 serious ankle operations before he turned 21, and was naturally never the same.

I got slandered when he was out so long saying he won’t make it at Liverpool, it is so unfortunate but missing 18 months at that age is really damaging for a young player at a top club , he could easily resettle in Spain and find his way to the top no doubt but he isn’t going to get that luxury at Liverpool as harsh as that sounds.

I'll bet a big factor in LFC wanting him to stay at Salzburg, is that Salzburg paid 11m Euros loan fee, and Liverpool will now have to repay 50% of that. And there is no chance of Les Palmas paying that. From a player perspective, clearly a better chance of making himself a first team fixture at LP. But we should not think he has had no game time at Salzburg - he has played 19 games and averaged around 45-60 mins per game, so he has played more than if he had stayed here playing for the U21s. Nor has he been a failure - the Salzburg fans think highly of him from what I've seen on their fan forums. The problem appears to be the new coach.

These players are out on loan to play. If they’re not playing then what’s the point of the loan? Same thing happened last season with Carvalho at Lepzig (seems like we should really avoid these RB teams), he then went on to join Hull having a really good 2nd half of the season & was sold for a good fee. Hopefully the same can happen with Bajcetic without the being sold part.

Spanish player wants to go back to Spain is not surprising. I've even seen it here in the states. Where and younger player who is a longer shot to crack the starting team in the bigger club that owns him decides he wouldn't mind just going home and playing. Even more so for Americans cause they are not at a Liverpool they are at a lower tier European league, or Championship in England. I've seen many go "i'd rather live in LA and play for The Galaxy or even Austin, TX or New York City for the Red Bulls instead of like playing second division Germany in some cold town away from family, a language you might barely understand.
