I keep seeing comments about how V lied here tbh the only time I think V actually lied to her was after the 6 months he was in the coma and he played up the romance part which from what I could tell probably was just a couple of days before that time it was somewhat real he does genuinely care about her to some degree. We see evidence of that after she literally gets her heart taken out and dies. V left since he felt he needed to be alone (like dark) granted I have a whole theory about that since it would probably be a whole lot worse for V since he’s so traumatized and lose voices could easily use it against him. Also I have a theory that he’s probably gonna accidentally hurt Cheeky because it takes over. He has hurt her before for the lesson but that time I think would be way worse.
Villain is gonna villain...but would he really let cheeky in and live amongst his family, who he adores, if he didn't care in some way?

As far as I understand the Reddening deaths are canon, however they were reversed but the events are canonical but only Scythe, Advocate and Atrocity remember it, however there might be some bits and pieces that slip through the cracks,
However this is only my speculation so take it with a grain of salt.
