  • What is up everyone in this video I am showing you my 2024 fall marathon training shoe rotation! These are the shoes I am using, I think they are pretty great. But just because these shoes work for me, does not mean they will work for you. The beauty of running is that there is many different things you can try. But the main is to go out and enjoy it.

    There’s so much variety for easy daily just run shoes to rack up on miles. 1080s remind me of the novablasts. They’re go for a wide range of variety of runs.

      I agree. After wearing the skyward xs they are truly an easy runner shoe haha idk if I can go back to using them for everything haha

    On your point of hoping you don't get hurt because the streak fly feels different to run in - I think using different shoes and running differently could only build up your body's resistance to injury because you're adapting it to new stimulus! Great video as always 😮‍💨

    Nice rotation. I had the 1080s but sized them wrong. even a siz too small they felt great. Switched to the 860 for a little more stability.

    I heard the Skyward X are more of speed trainers than racers. My favorite racing shoe is the Saucony Endorphin Pro 4. It's not too aggressive and smooth transition. When your legs get tired it will carry you to the finish line.

      @chrisslynch  Месяц назад +2

      I might need to try those for my race!

      @@chrisslynch I would, Also heard the New Balance SC Elite V4 are really good for comfort but not as fast. The Endorphin Pro 4 just sits right in the middle of fast and comfort which will suit most people well depending on what pace they running at.

    Wow, interesting! I have a terrible time picking out athletic shoes because there are just so many different types and styles. I don’t understand what each kind is for. (Too lazy to do the research😜) I just want something that’s nice and cushy to walk in. Great video!

    I also have the Skyward X. Love them . The cushion and bounce is amazing. They will not be my marathon shoes though. I use them more for recovery runs and slow, longer distances. Good luck in your training and on your next marathon.

      I might use them. Idk I’ll see how they feel after a couple more runs. Might get the new balance elites for my race

    Have you seen the Hoka Cielo X1? That shoe looks a lot like the Alphafly’s. With much on the market, makes things difficult to choose because it comes down to feel on and how the shoe functions throughout the duration of your run. Whether that be speed moderate run all out run shoe or all the above type shoes. There’s so many on the market. However, not many shoes feel good for speed long runs and tempo runs. I like your selection though. Seems extremely optimal.

      @chrisslynch  Месяц назад +1

      I might try those! I’m either getting vapor flys, cello x1 or I’ll just stick with the skyward xs because they are feeling good now. My goal is to finish the race and then actual train for a good time next year

      @@chrisslynch My daily trainers range for the Hoka Clifton 8s, Saucony Endorphin 2, and Hoka Mach 4s. My speed shoes tempo runs Saucony Endorphin 2, 361 Flames & surprisingly Endorphin pro 1. My long run shoes range from those as well. The selection I have feels alright. I want the Novablast 4s and the super blasts 2!

    Really awesome content as usual! 😊 Gotta say I totally agree with you on the 1080 v13’s. I really like them as a easy day shoe, but I’ve done both long runs and up-tempo miles in them. I really do wanna try the Skyward X though. I’ve heard they’re similar to the NB SC trainer v1’s which I really like for long runs.

    hey chris! I also have the 1080 and even the same colorway as yours!
    How are they holding up in terms of durability for you? I've only done 3 runs on mine total 18 kms and I noticed some wear on the sole under the heel in one of them
