As usual, the best tutorial on the web. Identifying where to find information regarding a specific question by indicating the time on the video is so helpful. Thank you for being so detailed in all aspects of your video. Great video!!!
My first YT video about watches was from your channel. Was about GA100 hands misalignment fix. Love the way you explain it. Simply and good so anyone can understand. The GWB5600 is hell of a watch, keeps the proper time has all the blows and whistles. Only bummer is that app does not let you select some cities on the map. And I am not talking about villages and small cities but some capital cities.
6.10 clear phone connection (press light while seconds flashing) This is a reminder for myself in case anyone’s wondering (!) and big thanks for uploading this.
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I'm really tempted to get the GMW-B5000-1JF as a Christmas gift to myself and now I know it inside and out thanks to you. Keep up the great watch work!
JHDK It is allways a good ide to put in an extra $100 on the stuff you use daily. I also have cheeper one but regreted not going for a better one when I use it almost every day. Normaly I take my watch of but the other one I keept on even at night, and then I knew Iwanted to upgrade.
@@WatchGeek Hi Watch Geek, Hope you are well... I enjoyed your casio video. But I have a little favor to ask. I am looking for a watch with no luck finding one that I want. but I hope you can help me. I would like to buy a watch that will have the following things: - Solar charging - Digital display (with time and date displayed on it, preferably DD/MM) - Mineral Display or higher (no acrylic) - Non Negative Display. - And it should not break the bank. the cheaper the better. Not to sound picky, but I can find some watches that have these characteristics, but at the price I am finding them I would rather buy a smart watch rather than a simple digital display watch, I simply cannot find the motivation to spend so much on a watch. that only tells time and date when I could spend a little more and have a samart one.... anyway... I got to find a watch I like but unfortunately I think the glass is acrylic. Casio W-S210H-1AVEG and casio STL S100H-1A and casio W-S200H-1BVEF I believe these all have acrylic displays, I could not find any reliable consistent information about them. (do not get fooled about these picks, I still would love a round or rectangular display. or a metal face/strap. I am not picky about that. anyway. if you have some advice or you know what watch I can search for that has these characteristics. I would appreciate it
*Pardon me if I’ve mentioned this here already, but I learned a hidden hack to manually check the last atomic radio signal reception. This was first done by Greg Anderson - The Good Timekeeper, in his review of this model. You access the Diagnostic Mode by pressing buttons B, C, & D (Light, Mode, & Receiving) simultaneously. A “J” or perhaps another letter will appear in the date window. In this instance, that J indicates one of the radio transmitters in Japan. Then pressing C (Mode) “RX” follows the “J” from the previous screen. Subsequently the screen that displays the last radio wave signal reception (not the Bluetooth connection time sync & update) is shown, with another press of the C (Mode) button. It will have “RC” along with the last received date and time. Another depress of the C button will take you to Home Time Mode.*
would like to thank you very much for taking your time making this video.I just receive my GMW-B5000GD-9CR as a gift from my wife.this video really helped out, thank you
I recently purchased my full metal and love it. This has been extremely useful. Thank you. The only disappointment I have with watch is the signal and alarm sound. Can’t hear them unless the watch is about 10cm from my ear. Makes the functions useless. My other G shocks I can at least hear the hourly signal. Very disappointing for the price.
Hey, I brought this watch today..the metal one..I'm really happy because your video helped me a lot...thank you so much...keep uploading this kind of video s...it is hard to read and understand from books...thank you so much...by Akhil from India, Kerala
The world time is actually better than you described, On the app click on the 1-5 of the time you want to change, then on the world map, there's a small map in top right corner, press that and you can choose anywhere on planet, right down to a specific street and then you name it whatever you want, So you could have, for example, Mum's house as one of your 5 pre chosen places.
Just realized how useful it is to use the Find My Phone function if you need to fake a phone call! Also, during the Power Save mode will an alarm still go off? (Answer : Power saving mode just turns off the display. Hourly chimes, alarms, and nightly atomic sync all still occur on schedule.) I also hope that they can add a time of day to the reminder function in a future app update.
Thank you for the thorough explanation of these functions. I had been trying to decide whether or not to get a GW-B5600. Now, I know I want this one💔! Well done!👍
Thanks so much for this excellent tutorial. The printed instructions that came with the watch is fairly useless. However, thanks to this easy to follow video, my B5600 is now fully operational.
Great tutorial. The Time & Place function is useful for a pilot to record engine start/stop times and takeoff/landing times. I just wish they would release this module in a normal display similar to the 5610 (rather than the yellow/gold version).
Wow - BT connectivity aside, the module in this thing addresses pretty much EVERY gripe people have about the functions missing/included in the DW 5600 and GW 5610 series, and a few others besides.
@Douglas Pantera Well you could even go further and say it's 100% perfect if that's exactly what you want/need, but I think we can agree that there's no such thing as a universally "perfect" watch :D The features I was referring to are the ones that even diehard fans of the DW 5600 and GW 5610 frequently complain about in reviews and comments - the things that put the "nearly" in "nearly perfect". As you mention yourself, the ability to choose a DD/MM format is one of them. Another commonly mentioned one is the short backlight duration. Many of these features are included on one model, but not the other, making it impossible to get the best of both worlds - for example, you might love the more contrasty display of the GW5610 but also want the time to be shown in stopwatch mode, which the 5600 does but the 5610 doesn't. There are plenty of these small differences. So, even for people who aren't too bothered about BT connectivity (myself included BTW), the newer models combine a lot of features that people had been asking for in the "nearly perfect" 5600 and 5610 for ages.
I would like to thank you very much for this video, sir. I would also like to request the only person who unliked this tutorial to present his reasons why he/she did not like it as a response to my comment right here. Thank you again, Mr. Watch Geek.
Great review thanks a lot! I got the one with the blue frame around the display and I thought the automatic radio control feature was broken but all I have to do is to stop using Bluetooth for a day?
I just bought online used in very good shape for 115$... It was missing piece in my mini collection, as I was missing Square GSHOCK... And so now I have 6 GSHOCKs... 😁😎😈
Just purchased the gold version and an grateful for your review since it helped me get up to speed. I just wish there was a way to prolong the light after pressing the button. I feel it's too quick to dim off.
Thanks a lot, this is the best tutorial I've ever seen. I just got my gshock and I will be traveling between various time zones. After selecting my home time and changing it when I arrive in other citiesas you described, should I turn off the automatic time update?
Great Video.....Thanks for taking the time to show all the features as the instruction manual was clear as mud! Your right about how much easier it is to set up the features using the app on the phone. Thanks again :)
Good video. I exactly did what you are doing on the video. First I set the date manually, and I chose the closest city which is Paris since I am living in a small city in Germany, I couldn't find any German cities. My problem is that it cannot receive radio waves. Every single time when I try to adjust atomic radio control, it fails and gives error message at the right part of the screen. I also chose UTC timezone but this time it does not try to adjust atomic radio control at all. What might be the problem? Thank you.
Thank you for tutorial ,i got PRW-3500-1ER and i really love tough solar,i was thinking about G-Shock for some time now. ps I need to stop visit you channel for me wallet sake ;)
How does your phone finder work? Mine seems to need the phone screen on with the app on top to work at all. How about you? I was really looking forward to not losing my phone any more. Thx.

Thank you for this very good presentation !
They have finally put the hour in ST and TR mode !!!! That's great (just like some other models) ;)

Great tutorial. The Time & Place function is useful for a pilot to record engine start/stop times and takeoff/landing times. I just wish they would release this module in a normal display similar to the 5610 (rather than the yellow/gold version).
Are you a pilot?
@@ShahromAbRahman Yes. I fly small airplanes where logging those times is important.
They did that recently. The 5600MC is the one to go for.
Of all the expensive pilots chronographs that exist, it would be nice if there was a chronograph that recorded in 1/10th hours
Thank you so much for video. It helped me greatly.
FANTASTIC TUTORIAL. THANKS FOR THE VID!!!!!!!!!!
Extremely helpful! Congrats)
Realy enjoyed your review.Like it very much. Thank you.

Wow - BT connectivity aside, the module in this thing addresses pretty much EVERY gripe people have about the functions missing/included in the DW 5600 and GW 5610 series, and a few others besides.
Finally a countdown timer down to the second... This is the function I missed the most on my 5610
Now this one is truly usable in aviation.
No Timer repeat for intervall training as my other 5600.
