  • Have a glimpse at what the entire video will look like. There's still post production editing going on, I'll keep trying to improve the audio as well and minimal syncing issues here and there. This video is still bound to change in the future.
    This is what the official ''Boys - Live from Eight Days A Week/The Touring Years'' promo should have been like. I'm eternally disappointed by that documentary.

    They should have hired you to do that documentary. This is way better. Also cool hearing George play Boys on the 12-String. I can't remember seeing that before, it may have been in that documentary but I only watched it the once and sold the DVD as I was that disappointed in it. Don't get me wrong, it's cool knowing that Whoopie Goldberg was at Shea Stadium but that's not quite what we were advertised. This is the sort of thing the fans want.

      I had the same feeling. We were promised new live footage. But it was all the familiar stuff. Howard made a film aimed at an audience that was new to the Beatles. Anthology was better.

    George used the Rick twelve a lot this tour.Boys,long tall sally,Dizzy miss Lizzy apart from the obvious songs like A Hard Days Night.
    The way a Rick is strung you can just play the thicker of the pairs and make it sound like a six for some passages then back to the chime for the rest.listen again to the Beatles at the Hollywood bowl.amazing album

      @@CartersRemasters Yeah I have my doubts too, but they did make a few changes in the setlists, although they weren't a lot. Like for example they played Till There Was You at the Cow Palace in place of Things We Said Today, and they also played I Saw Her Standing There in Milwaukee, there's a short bit of footage and varely audible audio as proof of that, and in Vancouver, they didn't play I Want To Hold Your Hand for whatever reason.

    what's *YOUR* problem with the documentary?? I only complain is they didn't take a look to "Yesterday" the most famous song of their touring years, the "atypical" one THAT pissed me off, is like talking about their weirdest recordings & not mentioning revolution 9

    • @doctorrobert1339
      @doctorrobert1339  3 года назад +1

      My problem with the documentary is that it was not what we were advertised (If anything was advertised at all?) It was just a rehash about their early days and not so much about the experiences about playing so many concerts, the good and bad experiences they had, the technological limitations of the era. The main selling point of the documentary was that there was gonna be rare footage shown in it, and there was hardly any shown.

      @@doctorrobert1339 oh yeah i got so many questions about those days and i got no answers, like why they delayed A Hard day's Night so why they rushed beatles for sale (unfair) what happened to the gretsch what happened to the rickenbacker 325 why they suddenly got ephiphones why suddenly stopped wearing ties even on stage, in which point how they got the full band arrangment for "yesterday" why we don't get footage of their UK tours as we get of their U.S. tours especially considering they are an UK band (so ironic) what happened in september 11 1966 what happended in november 9 1966 how they felt at the non screaming gigs who chosse the tour setlist why they didn't play revolver (unfair) etc so many questions, a chance with no answers

      I heard that the documentary was in the works for about 8 years, and because they spent most of that time gathering footage from fans for the documentary, which had gone through several iterarions before they settled on what we saw. The people who gathered all the films did all that work literally for nothing.

      I've been trying to figure out an issue with my editing software for a while. It locks up trying to work on large files and I can't find out why, so it won't let me export videos either. It's driving me nuts on top of the fact that I don't usually have much time to sit down and edit videos anymore.

Hope you figure out a solution soon, maybe one of these days I might try my hand at the reconstructioning project.
