Hi everyone, I just finally uploaded another video as a continuation of what I started......Please check it out called Draped Design To Paper Pattern 1 and 2.....Enjoy and keep the comments coming please!
Thanks susane your video is excellent well done, I find you just in time when I am completing my sewing space to be more functional and easy to work on I am trying to find the video where you make the blocks( basic pattern) but I couldn’t find it. Blessings
Hi Elizabeth, Thank you for your question, comment, and praise. I don't show the basic pattern block drafting method. I don't feel any of them are accurate to the shape of the body properly, I therefore, drape mine and perfect it! You may see the draping method on my channel. You may also purchase the perfected slopers on my website!!! eliascouture.com/store/5-piece-basic-sloper-set here is the link
Thank you so much for this video! It helped me so much! It would be awesome if u could make a video demonstrating how you use the different rulers to measure?
What is the industrial fabric cutting table called? I heard "fill craft table" but can't seem to find online one that looks like the type in the video. Hers looks like the ones you see in factories. Btw, I love the video! :)
Thank you Susan, you are amazing I took drawing classes in high school and has always wanted to be a fashion designer. I am starting now in my living room and this video was very helpful. Just one question how soon will I need a sewing mannequin and where can I purchase?
So a dress form is very useful at any stage of your fashion journey! I have THREE unboxing videos for dress forms- 2 from figure forms, and 1 from wolf dress forms. Go look them up on my channel and they have info on where to purchase them as well. If you like the videos give them a comment so I know which dress form you found best!
Hello Susan, I'm needing to buy a tailor's ham and have read that white oak shavings are the best stuffing for tailor's hams. That the stuffing in conventional ones sold will not give your garment the cleanest look and may even mold inside from all the steam, over time. I'm an aspiring fashion designer so I want to use what'll give me a professional look, and of course do not want to be making garments that I will sell to others, using something potentially molding inside. I don't see any hams filled with white oak on the market. The only ones of the kind that I've seen are used vintage ones, and I don't know if using those would be very sanitary. What are your thoughts on this? Should I make my own, and acquire white oak shavings to fill it with? Is it necessary for a professional look? Do you have any already made that you recommend? Thanks
Thank you for this information. My tailors hams are very old and they are still holding up well. My suggestion is to go to a professional supplier for the best ones. Not to buy cheap Imitations.
First rule is you should have a nice table if and when possible...the height of a table does matter to how you work.. especially when cutting and or drafting patterns...
Hi ..Okay I know this is an Old Video.. but... I dont know where to ask for this question of an item you've mentioned twice.... Q#1 what is the name or Brand of The Architect Adhisive Tape ? The Only one I see OfficeDepot Online is CHARTPAK GRAPHIC ART TAPE 1/8" MATTE BLACK there's other sizes as well. The Art stores here in Miami don't carry it. Q#2 where do you order the Dotted Pattern paper? Unless you know a Miami Supplier?... And Final Q#3...all though you don't mention it on this tutorial.. I e been meaning to ask...what Weight/ thickness Oak Tag board is recomended for transfering the patterns made. Thank-You.... I like the Idea of the CorkScrew Board...lucky Uuuuu....You have a Sewing Room to spread out all your Sewing Toys and Play...Lol TFS
