The ammo accusation is hilarious because Clear has nothing to do with checking bags. That is TSA's responsibility. If the guy ultimately had a legit boarding pass and ID, TSA would have let him get up to the screening as well. Clear has one purpose - to quickly verify a person is who they claim to be. There are three known incidents of mistakes. In the meantime, the DHS OIG report implies there are legitimate flaws within TSA screening.

Exactly. They all repeat nonsense and feed it to a dumbed down audience

Why is TSA subcontracting this high security function? Why can't the TSA do its own work?

My guess...it's something else Republicans don't want to fund just to make the Biden admin look bad. They are that petty.

TSA has no right to exist.

I was never keen on this. All it takes is one bad person to get through, and you have a serious problem!

when you can bypass an entire system by getting a boarding pass out of the trash, there is no 'easy fix'... that is a flawed architecture at the root.

Good. Clear is silly when TSA Pre exists.

I wish I had Clear the last time I flew out of Orlando. The regular line was 60+ minutes. Precheck took 20+ minutes to get my ID checked. Clear+Precheck was less than 2 minutes.

@@tonys1558 MCO is my home base. 20 minutes for Pre, at least out of Terminal B, is the worst it gets, and honestly, it ain't that bad.
