    1:42 I think there is a mistake here . Phenolphtalein turns pink in basic solution. Also the solution turned pink . It might be that the narrator mistakenly spoke purple.

    It's Ca(OH)2 so would it react with CO2 to form Carbonate? If we just pass CO2 in that flask?

    It really seems like you should be more careful about mistakes when you make this type of video. First of all, calcium is much softer than either magnesium or beryllium, not harder. You have the periodic trend backward.
    Beryllium (mohs) hardness: 5.5
    Magnesium hardness: 2.5
    Calcium hardness: 1.75
    Strontium hardness: 1.5
    Barium hardness: 1.25
    Also, calcium is not normally stored in air, but rather in mineral oil to prevent its reaction with oxygen, nitrogen and moisture. If you need to keep calcium metal for any extended length of time, mineral oil is a must.

    My mum's on feedding tube temporarily and we need to dissolved it but it's impossible to dissolve it it's like fire ants it remains dry even after 24 hours soak making the syringe always duck because of the powder still dry and had to rise under tap to get it off
