This ep is an amazing one. The whole bookies thing is very common here, so many betting shops everywhere. The distillery visit is glengoyne distillery, its in dumgoyne about 12 miles north of Glasgow. I used to drive past it every day on the bus on the way to school. It's actually only a few miles away from the Devils Pulpit, which is a waterfall/stream/small gorge they filed a lot of scenes from Detective Pikachu in. The distillery does tours, so if you ever get the chance to visit Scotland, you can take the tour too!

I've tried to get people into the show but they say they don't understand it, and now seeing you from the US bring this show more to light is amazing. Mind you don't do a jack and Victor and go "two pints pr*ck" it won't end well 😅. My favouite episode in Still Game. Poor Winston getting his money then losing it along with his leg. That last scene is just brilliant. I just laugh and laugh when I see Winston hopping towards the broken window and looking out as a ned picks up his leg and the money like a vulture. The whole buildup of Jack and Victor in the Distillery trip is pure funny as well. The producers did push the boat out in the earlier series by getting all the props needed to make it work. The guy speaking to Winston on TV was John McCrirrick, that was his actual job and he was famous all over the UK as the guy off of TV horse racing. Also the thing Winston said when he kicked his leg out the window was "boof, right in the Davina McCall's", Davina McCall is a TV presenter in the UK who is also very famous.
just recently found your videos and have binged watched all of them so far, its amazing to see someone outside of scotland enjoying scottish television and despite watching this show so many times growing up i feel like i’m watching them for the first time again along with you! im eager to know though, would you say your understanding of the scottish accent and the phrases has gotten better with watching these kinds of shows or not?
They have id say after watching still game, chewin the fat and rab c nesbitt and hearing the accents I've gotten better I can never be an expert tho but I definitely understand it better than the first episode.
