How to set up Techstream in 2024 for your Toyota or Lexus

As requested by many of your here is a detailed video on how to get Techstream working at home. This was difficult to configure, but I hope this video helps if you're thinking "How do I install techstream?!"

You need the download and install these updates in the exact order of their listing, restarting the VM after each update installation:

Thanks for this. What your doing is great. I bought Techstream a few years ago, and gave up with it. I even payed a bofin to sort it out ,but it wouldnt connet to the car. I'm thinking it could be the VIM thing you showed. When i'm back from holiday, and feeling mentally strong enough, I might give it another go. lol

I tried a whole bunch of obd tools from Amazon and had zero success on my 2001 and 2003 land cruisers. I would rather have a generic bluetooth OBD-II but nothing worked on either car.

Thanks for doing this. I’ve got an old laptop that I will give it a go on. Might see if I’ve got windows 7 and drivers lying around. I haven’t watched the whole video yet, so I might be a bit previous, but is there much you can change on the ole Hundies with this software?

Almost nothing I'm afraid. Lots of sensors you can read, but I didn't find much in the way of options to configure. Just a few pieces on the memory seats and so on. Nothing particularly interesting.

thanks for vid. few quetions: Can this device with techstream detect bad tpms sensor and after changing it relearn it ? and does it do some manipulations with beeping sounds and settings like that ? thank you in advance 🙏🏻

Do you know if techstream got updated for the LC300 series? I have an older version of techstream from a few years ago.

There's certainly a version 18 which was released in 2023, so I would imagine that's compatible with the 2021 launched 300 series

hi all.. i have a jdm car from japan. 2023 corolla hybrid sport hatcback. car has 10.2” multimedia. there was problem with 12v battery and it replaced, now multimedia (head unit) ask security lock password which probably previous owner from japan put. i could not find the first owner because i live in cyprus. here i went to authorized toyota dealer, they said they can not do anything because their system works only with european version of toyota cars. as i told, mine is japanese version. i contacted with toyota germany and told them the problem, they contacted toyota in japan and they said that lock can be unlock only by toyota’s software (Global Techstream).. but need dealer account and need to connect to japan server and on server lock can be unlock. can anyone help me please???
