I bought a manual torque multiplier for wheel nuts like that, well worth the £50 off eBay and they come with sockets once used a few times it’s paid for by the saved labour!!
As a tyre fitter for over 20 years I get where you're coming from with bald tyres you will pick up any crap on the road it's like the tyres become a magnet for it
Thanks Greg, nice jobs all round and got them all done. That last bolt was more than a bit stubborn. Your partner must be used to those middle of the night phone calls by now but that may not work for all relationships 😞
Hi boss. Whats the sore with tire balancer please ? Do you have to calibrate it few times per day, before every customer ? Does it not have to be on perfectly leveled surface for balancing? Wonder if adding adjustable legs to the balancer and leveling balancer with spirit level before each customer would sort it all out.
that iveco wheel nut was way too tight!! I had the same problem with a smiley transit after breaking my 3/4 breaker bar I brought a lorry 2 piece wheel brace that fitted and that did the job!! a 1 inch thick shaft I can jump up and down on!!😂🤣 heating them up always helps expand the nut but have to be careful!! great job love these videos.
We have had numerous ivecos all the same every time, I actually have another video on this channel of breaking a breaker bar on an Iveco on the m6 some time ago! , Yeah that method sounds like a good idea to! Anything to get the JOB DONE! Thanks for the watch!
I would of done but the impact wouldn't have enough umph to get them off, the NEW 1 inch impact gun Milwaukee sell probably would of though! Thanks for the watch!
On the iveco I've had it before like I wedged the bar against the floor and jurked it forward on the clutch it broke it free they can be a bastard to get undone
Between midnight and 3am was the most common time to get called out I still had to do them after a full day in the garage I started at 5.30 or 6am and normally not get finished till about 9pm Mon to Fri sat was 8am till about 4pm and Sunday was on call out normally got called in to repair fridge engines on the fridge trailers
Hi Thanks for comment, same here is quite a popular time for calls, most other firms quote there too busy at them lovely hours. Jees sounds like you have done your fair amount of weird and wonderful hours!!
I used to work in the garage of a haulage company we managed to sub the breakdowns out for Less that it cost for me to do it I wasn't getting paid that much I don't know how that company was able to do it for less and make a profit
the guy that didn't want the tyre done you advised him of the 3 points he could get I would of told him your phoning the police there and then bet you he would of had it done then
the problem with that is its far too easy to get said person taking the huff and slating your business all over social media, The best thing you can do is advise and leave it at that. As shit as it is with these gits running around with bald tyres.
We only advise, we are not the law BUT I have rang police on other occasions in different circumstances when I feel the need that they need to make a presence or stop a vehicle for certain defects / driver issues etc... Thanks for the watch!
@@GDBRescueandrecovery I called cops on a job once went to do a tyre 3am in morning young child in back of car driver and passenger totally legless and drugged to the eye balls

Yes I do have one for the HGV, BUT I didn't have a nut that size typically!!

Why didn't you use the impact on the Iveco with the seized nut? Just curious, not saying that is how it should be done.
I would of done but the impact wouldn't have enough umph to get them off, the NEW 1 inch impact gun Milwaukee sell probably would of though! Thanks for the watch!

Iveco’s are the reason I brought a 1” gun.
