Xpetu is able to get the funny 'predictive' lines because he voice-overs his recordings while trying to maintain his mindset that he had at the time of the recording. He does it to preserve peak gameplay while also giving peak commentary.
@@KingNidhogg he swapped to replay commentary about a year ago, because he was noticing his gameplay was suffering from the divide in focus; as I remember it.
Also for the record. I absolutely love you and xpetu. 2 really good content creators. Cooking some great builds. Pushing the limits of our items, runes, and champs. This is why I watch gameplay content over playing sometimes. For stuff like this
People say you're unlikable? I think you're likable in so many ways. You're extremely nerdy, to the point where it's charming in a way - the passion you have for the game when you can do something you really like is to me so fun to watch. You're smart and clever, and give great insight into your thoughts and gameplay on a very high level of understanding. You're a bit toxic towards your enemy but only if they are the ones starting it - you enjoy the beef and that's entertaining. I don't know, people might not think the way I do, I just like nerdy people and nerdy stuff.
people just dont like being held accountable and im very disagreeable with those types so they label me as "unlikable". natural way of the streaming world where people hold me to a standard that they could never touch themselves.
Honestly, Petu has a really positive energy around him and phrases things almost in a PG13 kind of way, never speaking ill of anything, which makes his videos extremely wholesome to watch. One could say you are more "real", just saying what you think more unfiltered, so you swear more and if you think your enemy is misplaying you say things like "this guy is so bad dude". That energy often gets reflected back, so people approach Petu in a wholesome manner, and you in a more real, raw manner, which can come across as toxic. Doesnt mean you are though, its just a possible explanation that ive been observing as a longtime viewer
You seem like a fun person to play devils advocate with from your vids, at least. You think through why you think what you think and whether its agreeable or not it is generally nice to see someone work through their process of thought in the background while I do stuff. Thanks for the vids from a (feels like) 10 year lurker - not sure how long ive been watching stuff but you're definitely a creator I remember seeing pop up since forever.
16:24 Vivid memory of watching my older brother (a mig/jg main) getting 5th slot and going Nautilus because "that's my role this game". I remember years ago watching an Ana main on Overwatch get 4 other Ana one tricks on his team in top 500 ranked. Role select is a positive change to competitive games but sadly seems to make players hesitate to try new things.
yeah people dont like to do the bare minimum to be a decent teammate skill-wise/champ pool but the problem is you cant force them to do so either haha. can only peer pressure/advocate for some personal responsibility in others.
I particularly enjoyed the aspect of compelling you to have a passable understanding of every role, because sometimes you got what you got and couldn't switch. Don't miss the worst aspect of it though: calling your lane before someone loaded in fully, they couldn't see your chat, and 80% of the time it devolved into a squabble XD Big ups Nidhogg and Petu!
I think one tricking let you think more about builds because certain match ups are extremely difficult with the meta build and you learn you have to adapt to overcome disadvantageous positions and that goes beyond "just play better" so you build different and realize it made you match up way easier
I like how around the 19th minute you tried to explain something. You got disturbed by 2v1, proceed to kill them both and be like "So what I was saying" 😂
I think some people find you unlikable because you say what's on your mind, and you don't sugar coat it. I personally appreciate your direct, no bullshit approach! I play pretty casually with friends, and I just play whatever champions I like, and whatever role they don't want to play. I don't care about who's OP, and aside from a couple core items that I like, I generally try to build whatever I think will work best against the enemy I'm playing against. I recently found a dude Wafflerush here on RUclips that plays RoA, Eclipse, Fimbulwinter Nautilus, just stacks shield bash procs, and it's hilarious to see people die to it and have no idea what's going on. These kinda homebrew builds are awesome, and I love seeing people cook up stuff like that.
bro honest the sugestion of "don't take it as training" isn't even just for league most things i've gotten good at (real life stuff included) was just because i started doing for fun, obviously at some point you'll reach barriers you have to actually train through but incredably solid life (and league) advice, most people drop out of games like these because they want to start off by training to be the best rather than just starting because its fun for them specifically.
20:50 Honestly the item mythic system was pretty good for item theory crafting and off meta picks. Reminds me of the days in ARAM doing old Moonstone Ingenius Hunter AP Twitch healer or the perma speed boost W spam Aery shield Orianna. I would say the mythic system made mainstream meta builds a lot more boring and repetitive, but it really elevated the off meta build powers and possibilities.
I'm a fan of intelligence because I watch both Nidd and Xpetu lol hearing the thinkin process is interesting also you guys put in work and are honest about it IMHO
I think people find you unlikable at first is because you are blunt but, I find it good because it helps people figure out what they are doing wrong faster than dancing around the subject.
Had a guy I know who was a huge asshole to me about trying non-mage items on Viktor and like literally a month later that auto-attack mana Viktor meta came out and he refused to talk to me lmao. People are weird about trying things in League.
If u liked the discussion at the end then there’s this one vid u would probably also like It’s abt instrumental play - i think its called why its rude to suck at warcraft or smth, by folding ideas
1:17 his Finnish accent definitely helps
whaT ÄKcent? I speak noRRRRRMalli
holy the goat himself
Awesome to see you genuinely having fun in league again
Also he’s the only person besides you that can effectively do the “narrate a fight as you play it out” thing

Nidhogg and high APM league builds go together like peanut butter and chocolate, Thanks for the content!

big fan of you and petu, you both make this game fun
Our favourite 2 buildcrafters
keep the nida vids coming!❤
I definitely feel tryn's pain. Life was simpler back when we would have Renekton, irelia, Jax, Tryn as the typical tops
I love the cook
Nid, thoughts on releasing another attrition nidalee build for the new season due to how strong tanks are? Or is it no longer viable?
im 0-3 so far
What‘s a Player Supportes to do, when learning a new Champ, u cant go and tinker with the build before u have the basic mechanics down
more lethal tempo LETS GOOOO
