There was a house maybe 4 houses down from mine that had spray paint on it and there was a link to her. Thank you so much for sharing her story! We have been hoping that police will work harder for her family. When we moved we hoped and prayed she'd be found but she hasn't. No one does it with such class and respect...I so wish I had the opportunity to help with missing people's cases and victims.
I truly hope Nicole is found, and wish it can be safely. She doesn't deserve to be taken from her children and loved ones and her children need their mother. However, i have this horrible feeling she was harmed by her bf due to trying to leave his abuse...if this is the case, he can't hurt you anymore sweetheart, and WILL pay for what hes done. "Cooperating" with police doesn't always mean innocence. Sending my love and prayers.

It makes sense for her to tell her three kids specifically with the boyfriend that she was going to play pool with a friend because the ex wouldn't be related to those children. Plus it's clear the boyfriend had been violent to her in the past, she was probably afraid the kids would slip up and tell their dad who she was playing pool with.

My thought is that she hung out with her ex because a) he is part of her support network if they've stayed friends, and b) he is the father of one of her children. If she was planning to leave her domestic situation, he would be an important person to communicate the situation to.
I could easily imagine myself doing the same thing.

In a video by one of the local news stations, the Mom stated that Nicole told her she needs to get out of here before she is killed (I presume referring to her current living situation on the farm with her boyfriend). Of course that obviously raises a red flag, as a woman's intuition (gut feeling) is quite strong and often accurate.
The news station also showed the body of water that runs by the farm, and it's quite wide and moves pretty fast. I wonder if the boyfriend knew where she was out playing pool, and maybe drove by and saw the ex's car, and then drove home and waited for her with escalating anger.
Many many prayers to Nicole's entire family, especially her Mom and kids. Another great video, John, with some excellent additional information regarding no body cases. Thank you dearly for the amount of work and compassion that you truly put into every single case!!

    • @WhitneyDahlin

Yeah that's what I was thinking. There's a HUGE problem with substance abuse in that area too because of how rural and away from everything it is. It's possible she does recreational drugs and that's why she disappears occasionally and no one can find her. What I was wondering is where does she go when she does disappear for a few days that her boyfriend and family have no idea where she's at?? Is it possible she was in her usual hiding place and something happened so that person dumped her purse and phone on her property? I'm just very curious as to where she goes and why she leaves her children with no notice for days at a time. I think it's important and maybe connected to what happened to her.

  • @WhitneyDahlin
    @WhitneyDahlin 4 года назад +6

I actually grew upreally close to there. I live in North Kansas City now but I grew up outside of Weston Missouri. And in Missouri when you're really far out in the country like that not near a city you aren't considered part of the city at all. You're considered county. The county is the one who takes care of the roads and takes care of the trash, the county is usually the one that respond to emergencies, the state highway patrol is usually the ones who investigate these cases and/or the sheriff's of their county which would be Bates county in this case. there's a big problem with drug and alcohol addiction in that area too. Just because there's nothing to do nowhere to go you have to drive really far away to get to a movie theater or bowling alley or even a Walmart. A Walmart is even very far away so people get bored and there's a lot of addiction issues in that area and because of high addiction rates there's also high domestic violence rates.

as Nicoles mother I can tell you this is NOT a missing persons case it should be treated as a homicide ,which it very well may be ,none of his family helped search,no phone calls or text from him asking her where she is,she was in a abusive relationship,I do not care what any of his family members say its all lies!! they keep saying he was at my sons that night and has a alibi also uses his dads as a alibi because he has cameras my question is ,if you have done nothing wrong why do you need an alibi hum!! but they sure keep putting it out there !! trying too convince everyone he has a alibi ,but also funny how her boyfriend of 16 yrs never searched has moved in his 25 yr old gfriend whom he has been seeing for quite sometime ,funny how he himself had cameras but says Nicole unplugged them the same day she went missing hum!! she never left on her own he always kicked her out he has been trying to get rid of her for at least the last 2 yrs has threatened to kill her on several occasions heart less people everyone of them they took a mother away from her children whom she adored she would never leave her children thats why shes gone she finally put her foot down and was not going to let him make her leave anymore because of her children ,Nicole knew he was having an affair for quite some time but still stood her ground ,they know how their son really is but do not have the guts to say so all of this will come to light soon and they can all eat their words do they really think Im just sitting back doing NOTHING!! She told me on several occasions how he hated the fact that my daughter was so smart!! well guess what the apple does not fall far from the tree Im doing my homework!!
There is so much more to this case that I will not talk about ,but I can promise you EVERYONE involved in this case will be liable ,her x husband and her have been friends for yrs its just convenient for them to point their fingers at him maybe he thinks that is another alibi lmao!! his mother never liked my daughter but says shes concerned oh boy!! he was looking at 25 yrs for assault on my daughter, this is public information

❤❤much love and prayers! It is not as uncommon as judgemental people seem to think, of an ex hubby and wife remaining friends, just because the marriage didn't work out. Some are better off friends than lovers. Besides they have children together. Abuse esculates over time and sad to say, USUALKY but NOT always ends with a person losing their life. Leaving an abusive relationship is no picnic, especially if the abuser is borderline psychotic😐do NOT judge the ex hubby OR Nicole for her being missing. Seems the ex was a support system of sorts. The police need to step up their game by fixing their web page! I feel like she had her ex husband drop her off away from her house so that her current boyfriend wouldn’t see who she was with because she knew it wouldn’t end well. Based on my past experiences, I think that the boyfriend was probably already waiting and watching for her and took notice right away that she walked up and wasn’t dropped off at the house. Then starts the questioning, accusations, and eventually, an over the top fight. It sounds like she was done with at all and she probably had had enough that night and let him know it. Sadly, it appears that she never got the chance she needed to walk away and start over with her life.
Knowing that she’d been with the boyfriend for 18 years, especially with the knowledge that he had been abusing her and she feared for her life, I’m guessing that he was pretty manipulative. Probably a good talker. Or either he was threatening enough that she never felt safe enough to leave. I don’t want to be close minded, but I really feel that we all know what happened that night. I just hope enough evidence can be gathered to bring justice. My thoughts are with her family.

I’m so sorry for Nicole’s kids and the rest of her family.
This is a tough one with two potential POIs with romantic involvement (or past romantic involvement) but I trust the family’s gut. If they’re concerned primarily with the current boyfriend whom I assume she lived with at the farm, that’s for a reason. And if she was out with her ex that evening returning home late to her boyfriend, the motive seems to be there for someone with anger management issues, whether she was planning on leaving him or not. (Edit: just got to this point in the video: it’s more than anger issues, he is known to be abusive.)
Tunnel vision won’t be helpful on this case though - it’s hard for family members to stay objective, I know - and understandably so - but LE needs to stay open to several possibilities here.

Some odd and somewhat disturbing posts on her FB and her boyfriend's FB page. Nicole posts that she is "in a relationship" with her boyfriend on 19 Sept 2019. If he has been her boyfriend for 18 years, why post that now? Only a month later, she is gone. And on his FB page, he posted that he is in a relationship with a new woman on 9 March this year. Someone posts underneath that "Thought you guys was already in relationship?" - so it looks like the relationship started some time before that. It seems Nicole's boyfriend has not found any difficulty in moving on in a very short space of time.

It could have been because she changed her relationship status. Maybe they got into an argument or something. Personally, I did this as well. I'm not saying she did (I personally don't believe she left them myself) but there have been cases of abused women that will up and leave with NO notice because the abuse to them specifically is that bad. There are men that will beat their girlfriends/wives and never ever lay a hand on their kids (my dad was one of them growing up, extreme abuse to my mother but never laid a hand on my sister or I). If she believed that he was going to kill her she may have fled and left the children because they are his biological children and she knew he'd be more likely to try and hunt her down to get his kids back. Again I do NOT believe this is what happened, I'm just giving insight that may explain why I woman would make that difficult choice.

an update on the Nicole Mallatt case....Nicoles body was found Nov 3rd almost a year later to her disappearance within walking distance of her house, they drove by her every day I think they kept her body close to home to keep an eye on her ,murderers will do that ,we asked to bring in our own search dog's but the sheriff denied us access to do so but at no cost to him we were still denied we continued our searches for several month's we were told early own her body was in the strip pits and tried searching that area several time's but EVERY time we searched we were harassed and threatened by her boyfriend and his family including the new girlfriend he moved in just a few week's after Nicole went missing whom by the way was almost 20 yr's younger than him whom which he told the sheriff in the beginning he did not even know this girl that same girl and her friend and Nicoles boyfriend set Nicole up to be beat up by these girl's at Walmart on the Sunday before she went missing my daughter thought she was going to the store to buy food went in Walmart where one of the girl's was waiting once this girl seen they were there she went out of Walmart and picked up the other girl then came back to Walmart to jump my daughter she knew her boyfriend and one of these girl's was having affair ,one of the girl's even came to me when we were searching and told me how the boyfriend had set Nicole up to be beat up by the girl her boyfriend was having an affair with the one he told the sheriff he did not even know, liar ,he said he was never there the Tuesday she went missing but was there twice that day once that morning and told the kids not to tell their mom he was there and then that evening when she went missing,I believe he went that morning to unplug the camera's that the sheriff by the way did not even get a hard drive off of,no one seem's to look at the big picture MOTIVE he was looking at at least 20 yr's for assault which by the way only got 2 yr's bench probation when my daughters face was beat in he hit her so hard he chipped a bone by her eye you have to hit someone pretty hard to chip a bone she told me she was suppose to be operated on but he would not let her go to the doctor,I am sure the reason for that was because he did not want people to ask questions I was told by a professional that that chip could have went to her brain and killed her if it was not removed she had a fractured shoulder her neck had A LOT of damage from him he would crab her by her neck and shove her to the floor this went on for year's and caused a lot of damage to her neck, she was in a lot of pain but he did not care the abuse only got worse ,she called the police about a month before she went missing and they came and took his gun's he has new charges on that possession of a fire arm and drug's which he is trying to get dismissed my daughter was writing a book and I am sure everyone was in it him his mom the sheriffs dept needless to say the book disappeared!! she told me her mother in law sent her book in to be published and the publisher wanted to talk to her but she said mamma my book was not even finished and we both knew it was a lie anyway we all know it does not work that way,but now she says she does not know anything about the book, the reason my daughter is dead is because she knew to much and was sick of living the life she was living and how can you testify if you are dead and was letting the cat out of the bag on A LOT of people she found out some information about a girl the sheriffs dept called a suicide I have pictures of this girl you can clearly see it was not a suicide she contacted this girl's sister and told her that her sister did not hang herself and disappeared a week later she would never leave her kid's the only time she did was when he beat her up i have pictures of that too there are just so many red flag's in this case I have text she sent to people telling them she needed to get out of there because he was going to kill her and she was going to leave after Thanksgiving but disappeared 2 day's before it,he knew he had new charges pending and did not want her going to court he would not let her go to court for the assault case so he was never going to let her go to court for the other charge's not when he was already looking at 20 yr's this case needs to be handed over to someone who can actually handle a homicide case the sheriff's dept is not capable of doing so,people need to be brought back in for questioning he refused a lie detector test from the state and got a lawyer if I knew I was innocent I would do everything in my power to prove it!! another red flag,I have not seen my gkids for almost 3 yr's we are being treated as if we did something wrong because we are going after the truth and it breaks my heart,I found out on fbook when my daughters body was found the sheriff never called any of her family even to ask if we had heard from my daughter when she went missing i think we should have been the first one's called she went missing on a Tuesday I had no idea she was even missing until that friday and never a call when she was found imagine that finding out on fbook!! there is so many different motives in this case soooo many red flag's and no one is paying attention!! when they found her belongings I asked the sheriff about it he said her belongings were by the water and that her scent ended at the water the very same place she was found and the only reason she WAS found is because a farmers worker found her pants with her femur inside so they apparently found the rest of her they said they searched that water early on but thought they seen a log!!really!! and we were told we would have to wait for the farmer to plow his crop before they could look for her when if you look at the area she was found there is no crop they had access the whole time ,motive lack of investigating never returning our phone call's to this day we cannot reach anyone in the sheriff's dept I called and finally got a hold of a detective as soon as he answered the phone he hollered at may saying WHY do you keep calling here harassing us you call me you call the sheriff,I was only calling to ask about who's number do I put on the reward as was told i could not put their number so i called the st.patrol and was told i could not put their number either because they were assisting the sheriff's dept!! so i put my no and my daughter in law,we have sooo much evidence which would help this case but no one cares oh there is soooooo much more if someone would just listen i would be more than happy to tell them this case needs to be investigated in the right way i love and miss my gkids sooo much i love and miss my daughter as much it's killing me knowing no one cares i have beat 2 cancers so far and now going through another one i refuse to die i am here for a reason and I will fight to no end for justice for my daughter and her children

She wished to leave her boyfriend. She spoke of “being killed if I don’t get out.” She spoke of the abuse from her boyfriend at that time with her sister in law. She’s disappearing from time to time for days at a time, says the boyfriend. This time, he did not call to inform family that this had happened. And the shoes.
Was she in an abusive relationship? This account comes from her sister in law. The way the sister in law says this, looks as if it’s been going on for some time. Are there records showing this? Then she disappears for days at a time. For this boyfriend, especially an abusive one, would be going through his head wondering where she is. Thus triggering more abuse. She then leaves to shoot pool with her ex. Maybe the boyfriend followed her and saw she was with her ex and waited in wait. His angst caused him to wait for her in the drive way; anger brewing.
The ex drops her off at the end of the drive way and maybe took a little too long to get out, thus angering the boyfriend even more. She removes her shoes because maybe they are open toe or high heeled making it difficult to walk the long drive of gravel. That’s if they were heels and open toed. But we don’t know. Maybe she left in sneakers and changed into heels at the end of the driveway for her night out. Maybe the boyfriend confronts her while she’s trying to put her sneakers back on and stuffing her heels in the backpack. His anger gets out of hand and he goes to the extreme. He panics and runs for a vehicle in the driveway or carries her away somehow someway. He then gathers her stuff up and in mindless desperation, hides them close by to rid them later, but forgets because of what he just did to her.
Time passes. Too much time passes and the proper procedures in a missing persons case is lost to forgotten or lost data. Cell pings. FOR ALL PARTIES INVOLVED. Check for evidences in the drive way: blood, scuff marks, trails leading to her items found. Next what did the boyfriend have to lose besides a relationship. Was their an issue of him not having his own way to sustain himself? Was she his free ride? Or was he just an overbearing abusive boyfriend raged by jealousy?
In the end, too many of these cases run the same lines. Too many times the police or investing officers try to never follow those obvious lines and once again the perpetrator(s) get away with it. I hope this is not the case and the Sheriff is waiting for the right opportunity, but what the hell is he waiting for. It’s been years and the children are now without a mother and a family without a daughter.

    1) On the occassions she did disappear for a few days, where did she go?
    2) why does she have a history of disappearing?
    3) who was she with when she would disappear?
    4) what kind of state was she in when she would disappear vs. When she would return.
    5) was it purely domestic violence or was substance abuse involved too.
If so thats a whole set of other people that could be involved.
Maybe she was picked up after her ex husband dropped her off to get drugs.
Maybe she overdosed and whomever she was with disposed of her body and planted her belongings by her home.
Maybe she was in debt to drug dealers and they took their revenge as the savages they are.
Maybe she has nothing to do with drugs and I'm totally wrong.
I just don't understand how a mother could disappear and leave her children with a man she knows to be abusive. The only time ive heard of this is when drugs are involved or severe mental illness.

She would go stay with one of her brothers when she left. The bf was indeed abusive and wouldn't allow her to take the children, so she always came back. The police allowed the children to stay. The bf had pending charges for abusing her when she disappeared. It could be because he's friends with some of the cops in that town.

Maybe being less financially stable just means that the person being abused has fewer options to be able to leave. Like not having their own vehicle to leave with, or somewhere to go where they would be safe, or a means for providing for themselves (and children, if applicable). So they stay longer in dangerous situations that are escalating.

That's my thoughts too. Perhaps that's why the ex dropped her off a ways away from the house. So he/his truck wouldnt be recognized. Then maybe when she did get in the house a fight ensued and she tried to run with her purse and he caught her. Or maybe he was waiting for her.

Let me just say this Nicole was a good hearted person and loved her children they were her life she believed in a God and only wanted to have a loving family, I am Nicole’s Brother in law and I’ve know Coco since she was 9. Coe and I were the very close , she lived with us on a couple ocations when she was in her teens. I was the only one in the family that Co could trust it not to go any further with what she told me. I did not Judge her and she valued my trust and care for her, I was her Big Brother Curt I listened and gave my advice if I could. Nicole 1 1/2 years before her disappearance came to stay at my house because Brad had beat her so bad she had 9 fractures around the her eye socket , she needed surgery ! She stayed at my house for almost 2 months and would call her kids each and every day . There is so much I know about her relationship , home life ! Jump forward to a couple months after she was missing. She he’d an IQ of 163 she was very smart , she was never suicidal . From what I’ve herd from her oldest Brother, that supposedly lil Curtis her youngest brother tipped Brad off that Nicole was going to be picked up by Richy her Ex and he layed in wait. And after being dropped off at 8:15 pm . She hasn’t been seen yet, because Brad had Damian kill her and put her body in a 55 gal drum filled with acid provided by the cleaning sevice her boyfriend got from his company. Then the drum was dumped in one of the sand pits witch are deep and filled up with water ! I believe these poeple that are talking down there in Bates country are saying this is what happed and we’re her body can be found. A couple those people in the drug wirld have gave tips to |Bates County Sheriffs Dept and they won’t act on them becuase apparently being a drug addict it’s not reliable informative and right it off as hearsay ! I believe She is not alive because she would never this long without calling her kids or me !

I might add when she stayed with me last she told me she feared for her life because her boyfriend was a very big player in the drug world and she knew to much, I tried to keep her from going back and said to her why do you want to go back down to Butler were they want you dead Co .....she said her Kids ! Please all the family and I want is Coco back so we can give her a proper burial....😓😓😓

Going over what has been mentioned, I would have to say that law enforcement should be concentrating on first her boyfriend and to a slightly lesser degree her ex husband. Since it’s an active investigation you really shouldn’t expect to hear to much out of the sheriff’s office. Cooperation doesn’t necessarily point either way as far as guilt or innocence in any case. If I had to guess I would have to say it points to the direction of the boyfriend and they should press him hard and get a more detailed story from the ex husband. I think the discovery of the backpack looks bad and chances are she’s not coming back. Another aspect is that most rural towns don’t have the resources to apply to these investigations over a long period of time. I hope I’m wrong but the situation doesn’t bode well for a good ending.

Was there a reason that she didn't ask her boyfriend to leave if she was in a volatile situation? Unfortunately too many women stay in bad relationships until it's too late, thinking it's the norm to live like this.. Sounds like she was quite young when she got into this relationship and maybe he was controlling and to her that was normal until it become untenable..
I hope she is found but after all this time the cause of her disappearance may not give answers .. I do not think she voluntarily disappeared, who leaves their shoes behind? her backpack/purse? her means of accessing money?
Someone disappeared her and my heart breaks for her mother and her children 😢

Any woman leaving a man should do so in a safe way. If that means apologize, appease & make bf or husband believe everything is ok, then please do this, your life could be at stake.Wait until you can safely slip out and away. Arguing with him and yelling "I'm leaving and I won't be back" seems to make many many men snap and end up in murder mode. Your kids are worth doing things smartly, and you are worth it too. Be safe

    Five possible outcomes:
1 - She makes it home after ex boyfriend drops her off, boyfriend was hidding and saw her kissing her ex and freaked out and strangled her rivht on the spot, leaving her things behind because he was busy trying to figure out where to get rid of her body. Although you would think that he would make sure those things were not there so that he could say...no she never made it home.
2 - ex boyfriend had an ongoing affair with her and she refused to leave her boyfriend so he flipped out and strangled her in his car after they made out and he brought her things back close to her house so that her boyfriend would be blamed.
3- someone else got to her after she was dropped off and kidnapped her.
4- she ran away because she was afraid for her life but that seems less likely because of her kids.
    5- Alien abduction 👽

Small place can be dangerous in the way that everybody know everybody. ....the sheriff can be a friend of the boyfriend....and may be that is why he want to keep it as a "missing person-case".

The timeline of her relationships confuse me. It was mentioned "her boyfriend of 18 years", which means she would have gotten together with him roughly at the age of 18. But she also has an ex-husband. So she was divorced before age 18? This is not a judgmental question in the least. I just want to make sure the details are correct here as they confused me.
