- I realized that MiHoYo doesn't give us a ton of details of the ages of most Genshin characters, but we can definitely do some detective work to figure some of them out!

In the description of the Wings of Descension it says that they have witnessed “the birth and death of stars,” which can take between a million to a trillion years.
Traveler *never* objects to anything said about them by NPCs. Unless they doubt their ability to handle a commission, in which case they'll say they are an experienced adventurer.
Whether they're called human, non-human, mortal, young, old - they just smile and nod along, not bothering to argue with strange beings from foreign worlds.

Fischl is at least 16 if we count her electro vision as one of the last that was given, but she is called a Veteran adventurer, so some could argue that she is a bit older, or that the title Veteran is overused 😅

Or that most adventurers' careers are rather short. A year in the profession, and you're a veteran. Two years, and you're retiring and marrying some maiden you've happened to rescue.
Actually, Kaeya was 17, Diluc only turned 18 when his father passed. Also it's possible for Fischl to be either 16 or 17, as in the event Oz suggests they get a drink, but then he suggests coffee (and as you said no electro visions were handed out in the past couple years.
She got her vision at 14
Well if we can assume that Kaeya and Diluc are the same age, the Kaeya is 22 as Diluc is 22 by looking at manga/game dates and ages.
How exactly would ei know that if 1 archons aren’t responsible for handing out visions and 2 ei, zhongli and maybe venti haven’t been in contact with celestia for a loooong time
Drinking age is likely 16, so you can't count on drinking age to determine character age.
@AntMess97 it's in the manga, Diluc just turned 18 and was celebrating coming of age at the Angel's share. There's roughly 4-5 years between the manga and the time the game takes place.
Until we find out how many world's the travelers have went on and how long they lasted in each one.
I'd say it's safe at least assume the possibility that they are way older than 500+
I swear tho, with each new lore drop relating to the twins, it makes me more curious to know just what we're those previous world's they came from🤔

@@Zubeia. the title existed before, but not in the way it means now. It may be a localization issue, but gods in Genshin have ranks (lesser gods and greater gods) - however, Decarabian is stated to be an archon before Venti; but Venti is one of the original Seven, so how!?
If it isn't a localization issue, it's likely because Archons were considered the highest elemental beings among even the gods prior to the War, which acted as a crucible set forth by Celestia (or the Principles, we don't know) to bring order to the chaos that was Teyvat.
In the end, we just have to wait and see what HYV does - but it is 100% certain that Archons existed prior to the War according to the English translation.

The Fischl age is a leap in logic. Yes, she got hers at 14. And yes, there haven't been any electro visions in 2 years. Who's to say how many years Fischl has had her vision for. If she got it at 14 and 5 years had passed with electro visions been given out, then the 2 year drought, she'd be 21 for example. Nowhere does it say that electro visions were stop being given out the moment Fischl got hers.

Traveler actually older than zhongli bcoz when they fought unknown God, they're about to leave teyvat to explore next world and most likely done with teyvat and yet zhongli NEVER heard of them. That indicates none of the current teyvat population know them until khaenriah. We know that current teyvat is the results of Phanes wiping out the previous populations along with elemental dragon kings.

With games like God of War exploring immortality in such depth, Genshin really feels unimaginative and uninteresting when it defaults ancient beings like Ganyu to the typical "I'm so hardworking and overworked"stereotype.
Xiao should probably have figured out a more emotionally mature way of dealing with his doomed fate.
Not sure about of Qiqi can mature intellectually tho.
And Morax's problem with money is the kind of story arc I want, showing how his past ability to make money would impact him now. Cloud Retainer's pride also demonstrates the effect godhood (or wtv she has) would shape a personality.
But yeah, Ganyu couldve been so much more interesting.

Mind you the time in genshin is the exact same as in our world and has been indicated in dialogue before. Meaning these characters age with us. Most characters are now 2 years older if not 3.
Qiqi is confirmed to be around 300 and Klee is also older since she’s a elf and they live for a long time but also the travelers are all very old since they travel the universe for very long time and even have memories that fade after a certain amount of time cause of their long term traveling so the travelers are the oldest grandma and grandpa lol
Qiqi is confirmed to be 2.700 or more, she was a victim of Archon Wars and even Xiao knows her.

I don't think the Vision Hunt Decree has nothing to do with people not having an Electro vision. Having an Electro vision does not mean that the Raiden Shogun gave it to them. I don't even think it works that way. The fans are just memeing that it works like that. Raiden will give an Electro Vision but the design is from Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and so on? If Raiden gave them the Electro Vision then all of those vision's design will always be of Inazuma's vision design. I hope I get my point across.

in the latest archon quest aether and lumine tells paimon that they were traveling in each of those stars they wanted to visit, they also see many good and bad end of the world they visit, this only means that they're 1000+yr old or even older than zhongli.
Girl, there’s reference to the Traveler being BILLIONS OF YEARS OLD! Albedo’s constellation is called Princeps Cretaeceus, which means Prince of the Cretaceous. Which was MILLIONS of years ago. Then one of his constellation stars is called Opening of Phanerozoic which is an eon that was started when life was formed on this planet and goes on to this day. THEN, another one of his stars is called Tide of Hadean, which was an era when things were forming around the sun. BILLIONS OF YEARS AGO! One of his talents, when loosely translated into common english, means born from a piece of the sun…
age gets a bit weird when you consider that three lantern rites have gone by since the game began, which implies three years that the Traveler has spent in the world, and therefore three years that have passed for the characters that were available during the beginning of the game.
well technically, all of these characters should have at least 2 or 3 years added to their ages since birthdays and all that. Like sure that's in game and it differs for each player based on when they started BUT we do celebrate their birthdays on literally anywhere like Reddit Facebook Tiktok and. . . oh god. . . Twitter.

Im just going to put this out there, according to the genshin lore and theories, Zhongli is actually older than 6,000 years old because he says that he signed something “before it all happened”. This probably means that Zhongli existed before the creation of Teyvat. Please do tell me if I am wrong about this. ^^
He signed a contract before the cataclysm happened, which is 500 years ago, not before the creation of teyvat.

it's funny to think that Yae is roughly around 500 years old while Xiao is 2,000 years old and Ganyu around 3,000.

Guys don't forget the fact that the Travelers have been to different worlds before they arrive at Teyvat.
It is also mentioned in the wind glider description that you can get by having a ps platform that they were able to witness a birth and dying of a star. Take note that it's not implied if it is the same star but the fact that they were able to do that should be a testament to their age. They should be thousands of years old at least.
each star is born every now and then, means they were still being born starting from billion years ago up until now, and its also safe to say that we human exists during the deaths of some stars though we actually didnt witness it. just think that each of the billion numbers of stars have different timeline and not think that they were all born at the same time and will die at the same time
