Will it work on the PGI-2700 for the Maxify IB4070?
Do you happen to know how cartridges can be removed when they are not yet empty? When I was setting up the printer for the 1st time (I bought it only yesterday), a message popped up that I cannot remove the cartridges unless they are empty.
I just noticed the running banner of the video that clarifies that PGI-2700 is the Asian version of PG1-2500, which is meant for Europe.
I would still like to know how to remove a cartridge before it is fully empty, though. Any advice will be most appreciated.

There is a little work around to remove the cartridge when You want to remove it without having received the empty message.
Start a print job and when the print head starts to move cut off the printer´s power supply by diconnecting the power cable.
Then the print head compartment can be moved freely and You can move the cartridge(s) which You want to take out to the position for excanging it. In the upper area of the cartridge there is a little notch that holds the cartridge in its place inside the print head compartment. You can use a screw driver or something similar to pry this notch upwards carefully. This will release the cartridge.

By the way, must the IB-4000 series use only pigment ink? What will happen if dye ink is used in the cartridge? A disaster?

Hello Yagnesh, if You are going to refill the orignal Canon cartridges that came with Your printer our method can be applied for these cartridges. But I am worried that the sharp needle can harm the cartridge.

How do you seal it before it goes in the printer? Will it leak if the ports are not sealed?
six3productions We use suitable rubber plugs which fit into the ink port pefectly. For the air port it is a bit more tricky - we use a small piece of a very soft silicon pad. This piece we squeeze over the air port. You can access the air port from the side as there is an opening.

how many pages can i print until ink absorber full, if it is full how can i reset the counter, is it important or just skip it, thank you very much.
Thank You very much for Your question. There is no specific page number the waste ink tank is made for. The life span of the waste ink tank depends on how often you print plus how often You switch the printer on and off and how often You have to do a print head cleaning. We ourselves have no alternative waste ink tanks or resetters available.
Hello friend, do I empty the air before filling the cartridge?
The filling is a combination of pulling out a bit of air out first and then letting flow in some ink, then again pulling out some air plus again letting ink flowing in again. That´s the way as it is complicated to seal of the cartridge fully tight due to the air port.

You can also keep on printing with empty chips. With this solution you do not receive ink level related information and warnings anymore as the ink level display will be deactivated.

Can I use dye ink or has to be strictly pigment ink?
Iacopo L Thanks for Your question. We have no experience about suitable dye ink for PGI-1500 or PGI-2500 cartridges. Our refill inks for these cartridge models are pigmented as the original inks are. Maybe there is a company producing dye inks for these Canon cartridges - if the ink is dedicated to these cartridges there is a chance that it will not harm the print head.

Hello Antonio, utiliza cartuchos originales de Canon o cartuchos de tinta alternativos? Los cartuchos originales están llenos de tinta pigmentada. Los cartuchos alternativos suelen utilizar tintas con base de colorante; estas tintas imprimen más pálido que las tintas pigmentadas.

Hello Antonio, Gracias por sus comentarios. Con los cartuchos originales debería obtener la imagen de impresión que Canon pretendía. Todavía es posible que los cartuchos sean demasiado viejos: las tintas pigmentadas deben agotarse antes de 2 años.

Hello Yagnesh, thanks for Your question. You can use a normal syringe but You should not use a sharp needle or cannula. The sharp needle will potentially inflict damages to the inner parts of the cartridge.

hello , i have mb2340 which uses 1400 series cartridge , are they refillable? directly? some where i read there is chipset settings and even if y refill it will show empty. i just bought new and for home use so i am thinking was it a good buy , i got at a low price offer
+studiousnr The PGI-1400s are a variation of the PGI-1500s cartridges, Your cartridges just have a different code in Your global region. The PGI-1400 are refillable. When You refill Your empty cartridges, the chip on the cartridges will keep its empty status. So the shown ink level information will remain on empty too. But this is not problem basically as Canon allows You to print with a deactivated ink level.

With a new, alternative chip Your refilled cartridge will provide ink level information again. Either You use a autoreset chip or a one time chip. This is up to You.
The advantage of having inklevel messages availble that there are no restrictions in the functionality of Your printer, In some cases working with a deactivated ink level control may cause that some functions of a printer are blocked.

2. to put back into the printer do i need to cover the ink opening woth a foil tape or something as i saw in another video , or can i put without taping it ? what can go wrong if i dont seal ot witg a foil tape, u also mentioned something about before transporting u need to seal ..

We have not tested the setup cartridges, sorry. So I can not give You a reliable answer how much ink is suitable fot them. But You can test it and increase filled amount of ink slowly.
If You set the refilled cartridge into Your printer quickly, You don´t have to cover the ink port. Taping the ink port gives you more time for setting the cartride into the printer. Please try what is more suitable for You.
If You would like to store or to transport a refilled cartridge, You should try to close the ink port and the air port as well. These ports dont have any vents that prevent the ink from flowing out or from drying out.
I am really scared with my printer it still new Maxify M2340 cartridges are 1400xl because the cartridges are expensive

It is really not clear how I can force the printer (MB2350) to ignore the ink level warning. [error 1755]
Even thow I will refill them, the cartridge chip will continue to give low ink level. Pressing STOP (even for 10/20 seconds) does not help.

Hello Heleno, thanks for Your question. Error B203 in most cases is a defective print head or the logic board that is attached to the print head. The print head is considered to be a consumable part of Your printer - usually after 3 years these parts needs a replacement.

Yes, according to our information the refill process works independent from the global region.
And what about the chip of cartridge will it allow refill ? Or needs replacement of chip ?
If You refill an original cartridge its chip can be used for continued printing after refilling. You will not have ink level information or any warning messages about the ink but You can print.
I came to know that once cartridge is empty it will set the chip to empty status so it can not be used again even after refill and if we wish to refill cartridge before getting empty printer is not allowing to do so.
So how refill will work with original empty cartridge ?
