First! Love this, love meal planning and prepping ahead! Also, love, love, love that you want to share more of your faith- my son and I are reading through the Bible for the second time this year and it’s an amazing blessing! Keep fighting the good fight, Abby, and using your platform to glorify His kingdom! ❤
When my kids were home I used to call those nights that I wasn’t cooking “fend for yourself” nights. Years later they were talking about that and they thought I had said “defend” for yourself! 😂 So that’s what those nights are called now.
I have young adult kids that live on our property and eat with us at night. About 3 years ago I started fend for yourself night. Last February my Mom came to live with us due to health problems and she would get a little salty on fend for yourself nights😂😂😂
I currently have my 18 yr old daughter, hubby and my sister in law and her boyfriend living with us and trying to plan a meal that everyone likes is very difficult. Some like beans, some don't. Some like rice, some don't. Some like basic Tacos but others don't like taco soup. And one night I said I wasn't cooking, there was leftovers or they can have a sandwich or cereal. Well, I love to cook but that night I was extremely exhausted, time of the month I believe and it knocked me out. They didn't like it but some had leftovers and my husband had junk food. ((SMH)) I am funny about people cooking in my kitchen especially when they don't know where anything is. Plus, I do all the clean up and if they cooked I don't know if they would clean up. If I ask they will. But I should not have to ask. It is expected. Anyway... My life right now. It was my oldest son and his girlfriend prior to my sister in law and her boyfriend about two months ago staying with us. They were 22/23 years old. Now those two eat leftovers and everything and it was enjoyable to cook for my son and almost daughter-in-law. 😊😂. Different taste for different people ❤. Got to love it. 😅
A couple of ideas for you - One of my favorite crock pot meals is chicken and gravy. Just put your chicken in the crock pot with chicken gravy mix and cream of chicken soup. We like it over mashed potatoes but also good with noodles. I use the package or Bob Evans potatoes to keep it easy. The next day stir frozen or canned mixed veggies into the leftovers and serve with biscuits for chicken pot pie! Another idea a friend did when her kids were young is she made a big list of all their favorite meals that she cooks and then just rotates those through her meal plan (still incorporating a new recipe occasionally ) and it made it so fast to meal plan. Love your honesty and being so real. Thank you for this video!
I started doing this because of you. What a game changer. I’m tired of planning what to eat EVERYDAY!! It’s been nice so far because I just look at my calendar then know what I’m cooking. Ahhhhh my brain is relieved. Lol
Chicken and Noodles in the crockpot. You only need 2 chicken breasts (fresh or frozen) two 15 oz cans of chicken broth, 2 cans cream of chicken soup, 1 stick butter on top. Cook on Low 6 to 7 hours. Take chicken out and shred. Put chicken back in crockpot. Add one package of Reams frozen noodles. Cook another 1.5 hours. Can serve over biscuits, mashed potatoes, rice. It is delicious and makes alot of food. It's just my hubby and I. This made 3 meals! I should have frozen some of it but it was a busy week and we needed dinner. Give it a try. Your family will love it.
Hey Friend, Happy Friday. I love how you write down your meal plan and grocery budget for the month. I love how you shop your pantry, fridge, and freezer before writing down meal ideas. I think it’s important that we shop what we have on hand already before getting more groceries. ❤
Love your meal planning videos. I actually have million dollar spaghetti on my list for next week. I just have to share this story when I saw you ask Van if he was going to the bathroom. A friend of mine had given her three-year-old son a bath and she was drying her hair and let him run around the house naked. When she got through drying her hair and went into the living room , he had pooped on the floor. Mind you they have no carpet in the house. she said Eli did you poop on the floor? He replied no the dog did it. So when her husband came home and she told him what had happened he went in and said son did you poop on the floor today and Eli said no the dog did it. Daddy said son, that might be understandable if we had a dog! 😅
I have been meal planning for many years and have found it helpful to organize my favorite meals into categories. Currently the categories I use are: 1.Soups 2.Mexican 3.Comfort Casseroles 4.Asian 5.Pasta 6.Sandwiches and 7.Grill (hubby cooks these). By rotating through the categories each week I know the staples I need and can stock up on when they go on sale (ie pasta, stir-fry sauces, rice, frozen veggies) Also these categories allow you to be flexible with the meats that you cook with and you can base your choices on the sales. We have been eating a lot of boneless chicken and ground beef lately 🙃
Great video Abby! You mentioned shopping sales ads and the plus to that is you have your meals planned out so you know what you’re already looking for on sale each week!
Hi Abby! I have been super slack with meal planning and almost like I don't have the mental capacity to meal plan, but you have inspired me this week to go through what I have in the freezer and pantry to plan my meals around what I have on hand and avoid buying more stuff.
when the kids were home. I did once a month groceries. there were years I did Tuesdays were mexican. so each week on tue of the month we had some kind of mexican food, tacos, one week enchilada the next week, maybe wed. is Italian, , friday is pizza. I normally on had Pizza's on fridays. it was easy after a long week of working. Sat left overs, I grew up having breakfast for dinner so I would also have that has 1 of my days of the week. biscuits and gravy.always country gravy) you can have it with or with out meat. meatless is another one. in the winter you can have soup night, I also now days there is just the two of us. I look at other months to see what we had that I tried new and to see if hubby liked it. I grew up and still make salamon patties. East coast uses crab patties. I use the canned salmon you can get it all year in the can and the price is reasonable. a easy on is Roasted veggies and add your proteins. The nice thing about grocery shopping once a month is you have everything in the house. so if you don't feel like what you wrote down for that day. you know you have every thing you need for what ever you want to make. oops sorry I went so long. I have been doing this for 50+ years
Hi, Abby, I noticed that, when you read off your meal plans, you included very few veggies. Are they just a "given" and you don't really mention them? Many thanks!
This was my new years goal too! I made ours the 1st and as of today, we have stuck with it. It has been so nice gong to the store for a pick once a week to restock on milk, fruits, and veggies. We also purchased a quarter of a calf which I know will be a game changer when it arrives next month!
My youngest calls me Mama so I bought the same shirt as u ! I love it !! So comfy ! I love your videos ! Van is so cute ! I get good tips from your videos.
I have no idea why but my dad’s family calls those no-cooking dinner nights “slaughterhouse rules”. They were from Texas! I wonder if it’s a common thing 🙂
Also, what do you do with your picky kids or husband if they don't like something? I try to plan breakfast occasionally and apparently my husband doesn't like waffles, French toast and now pancakes! Really neither do my kids. So it is cereal, sometimes eggs, sometimes sausage and most the time bacon but not turkey bacon. They make it really difficult for me to cook. We are now at the point breakfast is never for dinner and we go out for breakfast on Saturday and week days it is nothing or juice. 😢 Not this mama. I don't roll like that but my kids are teenage adults now.
Your little helpers are adorable 😂❤ So here's the deal I know how to do all this, but I don't do it or stick to it, then I wine about wasting money. I need to be and do better 🫠🙃
Hallo aus Deutschland!👋du kannst doch aus hash- Browns, eggs and bacon ( and Paprika) eine breakfast casserole machen!?hier in Deutschland gibt es leider keine pick up App von Aldi ☹️man muss jedesmal hinfahren!

❤ Love this idea!!!!
I miss your new video Love watching you guys
If you've never tried the chicken breakfast sausage links from Aldi you need to! They are delicious!!
Yes we have “random things night” when I don’t feel like cooking. Usually happens once a week!
I went through a season of month long meal planning. I think I'll do it again thanks for the fun watching this!
Two ingredient biscuits for Breakfast Night. Self rising flour and heavy cream. No measuring, just mix dough until the right consistency.
Great reminder within your video to take stock of what we have in the fridge, pantry and freezer 👍🏻 thanks for sharing 🥰
Hahah I love how the scroll got you 🤣 that is so me. Impulse buys cuz I love it. I so relate. Love your content!

I recently discovered freezing whole rotisserie chicken! They warm up and crisp up so nicely!
I have meal planned for many years (week by week). Loved your video. Lots of meal ideas. Looking forward to more!
I love your meal videos. I always have a hard time coming up with recipes - especially ones my family likes. You always have so great suggestions❤
I love that you keep everything so real this is one of the many reasons why I love your channel thank you for keep your video so relatable.
Love your meal planning videos. I actually have million dollar spaghetti on my list for next week.

I'm excited for this monthly series. 🙌
Have you shared the Cajun chicken pasta recipe before? I’m interested in making that!
Hi Abby! I have been super slack with meal planning and almost like I don't have the mental capacity to meal plan, but you have inspired me this week to go through what I have in the freezer and pantry to plan my meals around what I have on hand and avoid buying more stuff.
Where did you get your planner?
Meal Plan with me made a good video to see
I need to use this method! I'm so unorganized when it comes to meal planning...this type of planning sounds quick and easy!
Do you have a recipe for taco pasta?
I would love a chicken pot pie soup video too or the recipe ❤
Great video. I meal plan weekly. I will have to try the meal plan monthly. 🤩
Cowboy casserole? Sounds yummy whatever it is.
Looking forward to the million dollar spaghetti video
Hi. I'm so bad at meal planning. I love the idea of doing it for the whole month. Thanks Abby. Great video.

Love this!! It definitely helps! I always fall behind planning weekly too.
This was my new years goal too! I made ours the 1st and as of today, we have stuck with it. It has been so nice gong to the store for a pick once a week to restock on milk, fruits, and veggies. We also purchased a quarter of a calf which I know will be a game changer when it arrives next month!
I need to start meal planning to it may save me some money
Cotton candy grapes are the bomb!
My youngest calls me Mama so I bought the same shirt as u ! I love it !! So comfy ! I love your videos ! Van is so cute ! I get good tips from your videos.
Loved this video!! That toast is sooo good to make “mini pizzas” out of too ;)
I have no idea why but my dad’s family calls those no-cooking dinner nights “slaughterhouse rules”. They were from Texas! I wonder if it’s a common thing 🙂
You could use all that Texas toast and make pizzas 😊 yummy and so easy
Thank you such a great idea! What do you do about picky eaters? I make meals and my boys some times won’t eat them. 😢
What brand is the planner you were showing?❤
This is your dinner meal plan and grocery but what do you do for lunch and breakfast meal plans for everyone?
Why is George book not on audible? I looked it up because I have a membership with audible.
I would love a video making Million Dollar Spaghetti ❤
I used to do monthly meal planning - I’d have the meals listed but never a set date for any of them.
Also, what do you do with your picky kids or husband if they don't like something? I try to plan breakfast occasionally and apparently my husband doesn't like waffles, French toast and now pancakes! Hi do you do healthy plant based or whole foods meal plans?
Love these videos as usual. I feel like such a crazy person what do you make for lunch? Lunch is so hard for me to think about lol 😅
Love these types of videos! Yes to more, I have a hard time coming up with meals for the week so this gave me some ideas! Also, Van is so cute 🥰
What planner do you use?
Your children are adorable ❤
I love this type of content from you!
Lovely!! Are these for dinner or lunch? How do you manage both the meals with this list?
Thanks 🙏🏼
❤🎉❤❤❤wow Abby your videos are so nice and had so much great information in it❤ ty... God Bless you !!!❤
Your little helpers are adorable 😂❤ So here's the deal I know how to do all this, but I don't do it or stick to it, then I wine about wasting money. I need to be and do better 🫠🙃
Yum! Thanks for the ideas! 😊
This is just way to much to do and remember, lol, i dont know how you do it girl 😊
Good job!
Van is so sweet! ❤
