  • Ben shares some knives now up on the store (link below). Ben has been working on these AEB-L friction folders over the last few weeks, to make an affordable high quality stainless steel option for the Nomad folding knife. These stainless knives will be good all round woodwork tasks with the added benefit of not rusting even when exposed to salt water.

Very interesting to see these versions of the Nomad, I have mine with me everywhere and love it. I recon its one of the best / most useful tools a outdoorsman can carry. keep safe, keep doing what you do.

Hi Ben, what Rockwell hardness are the AEB-l Nomad blades.

I normally aim for 60rc on the AEB-L as this seems to be the sweet spot for this Steel for toughness and edge holding. It’s amazing as at 60rc yo would think it would be hard to sharpen but it is as easy as 01 but holds an amazing edge too 👍

Hello from the U.S.! Question, does the friction-folding design of your knives help to make them legal-carry in the U.K. or are they friction-folding for other reasons? I really love the idea of a scandi-grind friction folder...

Sure the friction folder design as long as it’s under 3” makes it Uk legal.
I also like them as they can be opened one handed and work so well. When open they feel like a fixed blade. They have become very popular do to there ease of use, simple design and lack of complicated parts making them very easy to look after too. Let me know if you want one. Many thanks cheers Ben
